@faustina It's horribly grey here today, but here are some photos of the actual bag, you can see the reddish hue on the inside flap especially. Peat is such a well-chosen name!

Oh my goodness, I am suffering serious bag envy here at PondTowers. Thanks for sharing those pics and @Stravaig - that bag is beautiful!

If there is something I'd be in danger of collecting, it would be travel bags :) Rucksacks in many sizes, indestructible mountain kit bags, unusual leather bags with useful configurations for being out all day far from home. Baskets, pouches, carrying containers of all kinds. Strong call to wander from somewhere! Somewhat entertaining given my pockets-not-handbag lifestyle day to day.

Oh, and wellies! There was a time when I had a half dozen pairs of wellies, each with a specific function, and not a single pair of high-heeled or otherwise smart shoes.

😹@Stravaig - I have so many shoes/boots and bags, (most of which I forget to wear/use for months/years at a time), that the shelves in our specially constructed shoe wardrobe in the hallway have just collapsed 🙈

That’s not to mention the overflow in two cupboards upstairs…

I am currently in the doghouse as DH tries to salvage the cupboard.

This is particularly ridiculous as PF means I spend most of the time in Hokas!

Oh gosh, @Stravaig I wish I had taken a picture. There was an almighty crash in the hall. It was like a shoe/bag apocalypse 😹

Fortunately it was an internal collapse, (literally behind closed doors), and things cascaded into the hall upon opening. Fortunately no injuries, (but DDog, who’s a big furry chicken about noise), was scared of the cupboard for a few days after😹

In case anyone would like their very own shoe wardrobe, we took a Hammonds bedroom wardrobe, got them to put shelves across, and had the depth reduced to fit the hallway. (With hindsight, it would have been stronger if we’d had two columns of shelving rather than one long one, but we live and learn!)

Just back from Marrakech, the Rural Kind canvas Bike bag was perfect for the airport, flight and wondering around. Squishing and expanding, for water bottles, stuffing a scarf in and keeping things together.
Might turn up in a sale. Altogether not as smart as all leather, the little bits of leather and brass trim make it more workwear than literally garden shed.

@IlovePond you made me laugh so much with your imploding shoedrobe. Your poor defenceless ddog! Maybe he needs some dog prozac? It is an actual thing! Apparently Rory cellan jones has to give it to his ddog who he rescued from Romania

My widelegged Toast Trousers along with some loose tops worked really well. My middle-aged, resting bitch face seemed to prevent any hassle.

I was overwhelmed by the magnitude of stuff - lots of good fabrics, interiors, lighting.

I think if you were nesting or starting out, you'd buy everything!

I went to the Yves St Laurent garden & museum along with the secret garden in the centre both amazing. Take your best Instagram face for YSL. DH held me back from taking cuttings. It's UK houseplants grown into shrubs and trees. Incredible.

A colleague did a half day cooking course with a local fireball of a woman, it sounded amazing.

Sounds absolutely wonderful @TosstTastic - I am jealous!

Am holding off getting a couple of things as only a month until you know what!

This made me laugh. Here's my not collapsed 'shoe wardrobe' from the Futon Company, although I walked into today and nearly knocked it over! Top half and bottom half, also with multiple pairs of Hokas (and Finn Comfort) for the same reason.

I'm disappointed with my reworn Mary Jane’s. They weren’t actually reworn but appeared to be damaged stock as both shoes had a small cut mark in the leather seam on the top part of the shoe.
I decided it would annoy me too much so I’m returning them. They’re a nice shoe though, and comfortable, so I would be happy to pay full price for a perfect pair.

I almost bought those MJs @Theteapotsbrokenspout but remembered my bad feet, so thanks for the feedback. I won’t be tempted to try them when they reappear on the site.

That’s a nice shoe stack @Netcam . It may fit down the side of my shoe monster- off to look!
