Did LiB have the mystery boxes for sale? Or are these the ones mentioned for special offer with the AC? I think they are brilliant for the price and they all look like stuff that would be used. That's what I miss about LiB monthly subscription, it was very good value and solid products I could mostly recognise and actually use without being scared that if I liked anything I wouldn't be buying the full price because of high costs.

They were sold for £20 each plus postage- ordered a week or so ago.

My goodness is that lipcote?! Unless I'm getting confused, that's a blast from the past for me! In a good way, I loved it. I had a phase of flirting with lip stains/12hr lippsticks in a Finding My Holy Grail a few years back, and wouldn't have bothered if I'd known Lipcote was still going! I remember my mum using it too.
(I really rate Magic Lips/Lipstains Gold for staying power. Obviously they've branched out, but is anyone else old enough to remember the green/yellow lipsticks that turned a different shade on your lips?)

Anyway. This Beauty Box/GWP looks like it may be "the new advent calendar" - I can see why, looking at these.

I think the LiB £20 boxes are sold out - I couldn’t see them when I went on the site today.

I had completely forgotten that I had ordered the LIB box. It was left on my doorstep earlier this morning, with nothing to identify where it had come from. My first reaction when I opened it was horror, thinking it was my Bridal Beauty box and didn't include the type of products I was expecting 😆😆.

Any ideas where to get a good beauty advent calendar?

More trendy brands rather than classic and avoiding retinols.

I think JLP is still available £195. Selfridges, Liberty and Harvey Nicks are all still available at about £250/260. HN gives you a lot of products and initially I looked at it but felt it was not for me (some items v small). I also liked Liberty tbh. Wanted to spend a bit less so I have gone for JL.

@ThinkAboutItTomorrow if you are looking for “trendy” Selfridges is probably the best option of the ones highlighted by @clary ?

JL probably offers the best value.

@Addictedtobeauty that is so kind of you to offer. Sadly these days my lips are too dry/cracked for anything except cream or balm (which is partly why I'm thrilled with my Nuxe, as that and Elizabeth Arden 8hr are the only effective ones for me). Thank you very much though. It's made me happy just to see it again to be honest!

@ThePeopleBowedAndPrayedToTheNeonGodTheyMade the No 7 lip cream is fantastic for lip hydration, if you happen to have any in your stash. I first hot it in a gwp and only tried it a good while later; now I’m never without it.

My Bridal Beauty box has only just arrived and appears to be identical to that of @MrsBnow12 , so obviously I won’t post pics. Overall very happy. Need to investigate the Ziip device (which I’ve never heard of) but looks very interesting 😊

If you are on Instagram I was told to watch a reel by Sali Hughes as she has done an unbiased review on the Ziip and answers most questions….my viewing this evening.

I received my £20 mystery box from Latest in Beauty today as well! It promised 16 items apparently, and think there are about 20 here, looks similar to a couple of above posts. Still think it was worth a £20 punt and am quite happy with it overall for the price. It will all get used between me and my teenage daughter and her friends.

Now I've had a chance to go through my Latest in Beauty box, I'm really quite impressed by how much is in it - I think it's amazing value for £20.

I ordered one of these. Had a dispatch notice so I think it will arrive in the next day or two. Interested to see if it's the same.

I see now I've read the rest of the page they do all look similar. Not sure how much of it I'll find useful but it was a £20 experiment.

I'm impressed with the Ziip Halo devices. I did a deep dive into these devices a while back and ended up buying the the Foreo Bear mini on offer as it was the best priced of those rated good. The Ziip is the one I would have preferred but it was a bit spendy.

Well done to those who got one. If it's not something you'd use I doubt you'll have much issue selling it on.

I didn't photo my LiB mystery box, but it was good- I had the blistex abd the touch of silver shampoo, but definitely no lipcote! It was good value,I thought- too much make up for me personally, but excellent as a present for my niece! The British Beauty box from there was great too, well worth the cost.
