We still have a few weeks to go but we are up to thread 6.

Will we get any good Black Friday discounts?

@psuedocream3 Please could you DM me a referral code. Thank you

MrsBnow12 · 13/11/2024 10:24

For those thinking of Boots I had a 10% offer linked to my Advantage Card which took it down to £79.20, that really is me done for this year.

Thelifeofawife · 13/11/2024 10:26

@psuedocream3 could you send me the referral link please? I saw it mentioned on another thread but thought it was some kids thing 😅 (sounds like a game my DS used to play!)

Thelifeofawife · 13/11/2024 10:28

I can also see in my Boots rewards a deal for 15% off a £25 spend and £6 off a £60 spend - not sure if they will all stack though

IlovePond · 13/11/2024 10:33

Re: the Boots BB.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it sells out soon.

I have just gone through the products again, but there are lots of things I wouldn’t use, (including the palette), so fortunately for my wallet, it’s a no from me!

I do really like those Next crackers someone mentioned the other day. I can see one of those coming home to my house sometime soon 🙀

Question for the Rodial experienced amongst us.

For those more familiar with the brand, I'm looking at the Rodial 12 Days of Luxury Advent, currently £98. I already have the Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Night Cream, which I really like and would like to try more. The AC seems good value to try more products, although all minis and deluxe sizes.

For £60, there's also the OK Beauty Rodial Best Face Forward Box, with far fewer items, but some full size and masks. I suspect I can find a code bringing this down slightly.

Oh, and I've also now found something called the 'Mrs Rodial Mystery Box Black Friday Edition' purporting to include 'SNAKE Oil Drops full size worth £55, 1 full-size makeup product, 2 mini-size products, 1 mask and 1 accessory.' Baffled why they'd call something snake oil given the connotation, but assume it's a hilarious joke. For £48 it seems relatively low risk though.

Do they discount these things further around BF?

Does anyone have a steer?

@TriciaMcMillan I have definitely seen OK reduce their rodial box quick check of my email and it was £50 on 20th October. Black Friday is coming up so I am sure there will be offers on this. Not sure about the others

Space NK back in stock

Space NK now out of stock, I’ve been dithering all morning!!

Thelifeofawife · 13/11/2024 10:47

@TriciaMcMillan I haven’t used the products myself but I know there are some Rodial items in other ACs which have been put on Vinted/eBay so worth considering whether you can get the things you want that way for less, if they don’t reduce the AC for Black Friday

@TriciaMcMillan - I got a Rodial face scrub in an a/c - I liked it so bought another one from eBay.

Excellent, love a good facial scrub.

TKMaxx has some Rodial sets that are good value (unless they've sold out). I was looking at the Dragons Blood set the other day (29.99) because I fancy trying the cream. I didn't buy in the end because I probably have 5/6 moisturisers patiently waiting their turn to be used.

Thanks Ova, I'll check them out. I really like the Dragon's Blood, so could be a good find.

Pickled21 · 13/11/2024 12:08

I really don't need another advent calendar however had I have known space nk would keen coming back in and out of stock I would have purchased it over john lewis. It was in my basket this morning and then I dithered and it's sold out again. If it comes back in stock again I'll probably end up dithering again.

Doubleraspberry · 13/11/2024 12:27

You’ve just reminded me to buy my Rodial Bee Venom cleansing balm on Vinted - got it in a calendar and have rebought it often since. £8 for full size on there.

IlovePond · 13/11/2024 13:49

@Pickled21 - I suspected there might be a small restock of SpaceNK as they let me sign up for notifications for when it would be back in stock. (Having said that, despite me having signed up for this several times, they’ve never messaged me when it’s come back in stock😹)

It’s been in my basket multiple times - I even visited it irl once! I just can’t bring myself to spend that much, (especially as I have lots of other lovely things that I need to use/fully appreciate first!)

IlovePond · 13/11/2024 13:53

I was seriously tempted by the SpaceNK fragrance, but if I was going to get a fragrance calendar, (which hadn’t actually occurred to me until very recently as a good thing to do), then I should have got Harrods. Next year, I think that’s what I will do.

Thelifeofawife · 13/11/2024 15:10

What have you lot done to me… I used to be satisfied with a couple of left over chocolates from my DS advent calendar and the odd splurge on a discounted beauty box. I have purchased Space & JL beauty AC’s, Space fragrance AC, JL beauty cracker and beauty box, and now the Boots beauty box. Oh, and the Elemis bundle (but I would have gotten that anyway)
I need a lie down 🙈😅

Caramelandsalt · 13/11/2024 15:10

I'm thinking about next year already , and might ditch the advent calenders and just get a few beauty boxes, crackers fragrance edits etc and get my husband to refill my advents for me without me checking them first . I've been quite impressed with what's been available this year .

IlovePond · 13/11/2024 15:16

@tealdrop I was going to suggest the Boots Make More Room For Beauty Beauty Box Edit which is £55 but the referal code gives an extra £25 cashback, which would make it £30.... but it's already out of stock! I knew that one would go very quickly.

Maybe worth getting a beauty box instead of a calendar and wrapping individually as there are very few low cost advents in stock now.

Please could you share the referral code?... I definitely wasn't going to buy any more...
