Hi
i’d like to join in - I’ll aim for 150 by Xmas 2026, I do have a lot of minis from beauty drops and advent calendars etc so I need to use them up and make some space in the house. I also have many perfume minis (a weakness) so I’m hoping it’s not too mad a target

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/10/2025 21:00

I don't post often as while I'm not cured, I really got my stash down over the last few years. However DP has got me an advent and I am about to do an order for some bits, I need something decent to get my mascara off, really dissapointed with the climique cleansing balm, and I want to try a setting spray as my forehead gets super oily and makeup is sliding off. If anyone has and reccomendations let me know!

I have dry skin so haven't tested out the above but I've seem them recommended for oily skin.

Sephora sale starts in a couple of days so you might be able to get a spray on sale.

@OchonAgusOchonOh I am trying to treat some redness on my décolleté and this vitamin c is amazing for that. I’m so glad you like it. I have two more on order from YESSTYLE atm.

Fraaahnces · 30/10/2025 00:38

@OvaHere I thought I would share a new SPF discovery. It’s even better than the old Numbuzin one. It’s the Round Lab Camellia Deep Collagen Firming Sun Serum. This one

Fraaahnces · 30/10/2025 01:06

@MotherWol Olive Young does amazing packs. (Like 2 for 1, or with free travel size, etc….) Why don’t you ask for Kundal Protein Bond Treatment or Hair+ Protein Bond Ampoule or Water? They have been better for my hair than K18 or Olaplex. Also the sunscreen I mentioned above. Very intrigued by Glow Clean & Polished Toner but yet to try it. If you write a list of products you like and give it to DH I am sure they could help load him up with exciting products to fill you with joy. Oooh, also, any of the Numbuzin No 9 range is fab too, VT PDRN Essence or Genabelle PDRN booster.

Fraaahnces · 30/10/2025 01:07

@MotherWol - also TIRTIR milky toner

Fraaahnces · 30/10/2025 01:13

@MotherWol Or the haruharu wonder black rice essence (even richer for winter)

I'm currently using that. It's lovely although I prefer the Cosrx propolis toner. That's the nicest one I've tried so far.

Fraaahnces · 30/10/2025 11:28

I have heard good things about the propolis toner. I feel like I need more plumptious on my aged face. May have done two YESSTYLE orders now. Was totally out of several things. (It would seem I absolutely need glow in the dark eyeliner, for a start…)

Ooh thanks. I think I'm probably good for sunscreen in my stash for 2026 but I will check this out when I start running low.

I've got this one. I'm planning to open it next when I've finished the Cosrx 6 peptide - I've enjoyed the texture of that one but I feel like it's basically just a hyaluronic serum.

whatsit84 · 30/10/2025 12:00

I have my first set of empties (though not sure reading everyone’s recommendations on here is going to help reduce my stash 😂).

Murad correct and protect spf 45 serum. This lasts for ages and I already have another, wouldn’t pay RRP for it but it’s a nice light fluid that doesn’t pill with my make up.

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Vit C & Hyaluronic acid facial oil. Not oily at all - very light. I have tonnes of these types of serums in back log so can’t say whether I’d buy again!

Philip Kingsley Elasticiser mini - seems to be a bit love/hate on here but I’m in the love camp as it works really well for my hair.

Color wow colour security shampoo mini. This was fine and generally I really like Color wow products but I don’t see that much difference between expensive and cheap shampoos on my hair!

Collection flawless finish filter setting spray. Just a cheapie, not sure if it makes my make up last longer but gives a nice glowy finish after applying powder and makes my face look less ‘set’

5/100

clary · 30/10/2025 20:55

Oh ladies soooooo long since I posted, apols. My pic of many empties indicates this. A few faves from here then:

Elemis cleanser – always excellent tho i prefer the rose fragrance
Davines hair oil – wow this is great, I love it. Will actually RP it really helps my dry old-woman hair
Lumene vit C moisturiser – a £10 one from Boots very nice
The Seated Queen discovered in the bathroom cabinet – sadly mourned
Fragrances – the Creed and the Juice ones were nice, the Ecsentric Molecules one was very pale and nothingy
Medik8 serum – this was nice too tho a very small size

No idea of my total this year but there are 18 empties here not bad.

Nice to see you here again @clary! you’ve been very busy!!! Welcome back!

MotherWol · 31/10/2025 09:01

@OvaHere @Fraaahnces thank you! I was able to send him into OY with some suggestions and he came good! He got a hair repair treatment (can't remember which), the Haruharu milky toner, Torriden HA serum, Illyoon ceramide cream, and some hinoki scented things (I adore hinoki). I'm also quietly hoping he picks up a bottle of Eau Duelle in duty free as my Christmas present, but if he doesn't I may self-gift!

MotherWol · 31/10/2025 09:03

@clary how did you rate the Biossance serum? I'm looking for a gentle serum for non-tret nights, and my skin likes squalane so this appeals.

OvaHere · 31/10/2025 09:48

@MotherWol the milky toner is lovely and the illyoon cream. Hope you love them.

outofideas2 · 31/10/2025 10:35

I quietly lurk here, but reporting that, according to my excel chart (I'm so sad 😂), I finished my 58th item of the year this morning, a L'Occitane hand cream. I won't make 100 but have set myself a target of 75 by Christmas... just in time to open my two beauty advent calendars .....

It was pretty meh tbh sorry.
But maybe good if you like something lighter. No idea where I got it from haha (trying to use up things pre-December)

MotherWol · 31/10/2025 10:59

@clary actually really good to know when something's a dud - all for being deinfluenced!

Fraaahnces · 31/10/2025 11:29

@MotherWol I also adore Hinoki. Have you tried Salt & Stone Bergamot & Hinoki? The body wash and lotion are delicious.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 31/10/2025 12:10

@Fraaahnces - can I pick your brain please?

My 84 year old mother has decided K-Beauty is the way to go and has asked me to source appropriate products. Would you be able to advise me on moisturisers, seums and eye cream that would be suitable for mature skin that is slightly on the drier side of normal but not terribly?

Fraaahnces · 31/10/2025 22:19

Sure! Look at barrier-repairing products for sensitive skin like Aestura, Ceramidin, illyoon for thicker, reparative creams etc. These are full of ceramides and ingredients like panthenol, which is very soothing. If she wanted a more luxury line, Missha has their Chogongjin line which is based on traditional hanbang therapies and is full of ginseng. Fabulous products, healing but more stimulating. I recommend this line but I would look on YESSTYLE or Stylevana and try a value pack rather than individual products.

Thank you. I'll have a look and see what they have. I'd want to be ordering soon if I want to make it a Christmas present 😁
