Ooh what’s the Almond shower oil like @Fedupandstressed?

Fedupandstressed · 16/08/2025 19:28

Haven’t tried it yet. Got the body cream to go with it. Doesn’t smell as strong as l’occitane though.

The BHA was reduced to £1.99 hence buying 3

@Experiment627 Happy birthday! Hope you had a lovely day🥳 Can’t believe your age, you don't look a day over 40!

Some empties:
Kopari lotion- loved it, smells more than coconut and is sort of beige colour that blends in skin.

Weleda Ultimate repair hair spray - sadly doesn’t think it did anything.

Hello Klean shampoo - meh, nothing special.

Chanel cream&serum samples - wow, these were so good! I used Dermalogica retinol serum that really dried my skin out and this duo completely reversed it in three days. Shame about the price, but if I can get it I will.

Britney Spears perfume - I always receive compliments when wearing this, although not my favourite scent.

Lancome eye cream - staple.

I have an empty to report:

  • Avon Anew daily defence moisturiser vitamin C SPF 50: I ended up really liking this - feels quite thick initially but sinks in fast, does not pill and no white cast.

I've finished a perfume! M&S Discover Sunrise, loved the scent of this so much but it didn't seem to last very long, at least to my nose. It was a full size from a M&S beauty bag I think.

Perfumes are a real problem in my stash, I've got loads and even with a spritz a day I don't seem to get through them very quickly!

I used to have a Britney spears perfume but it was a darker purple bottle with a pink lid and it was really lovely, scoffed a bit when my mum gave it to me but turned out to be really nice.

ITookYourJoob · 19/08/2025 20:56

@LivingDeadGirlUK ahh, that must’ve been the Midnight Fantasy - I bought it many moons ago when I was in my twenties😅 I remember it fondly. I think there is also a dark red one.

Experiment627 · 20/08/2025 16:46

Two empties this time:

  • Clairol Step 3 bonding treatment with AHA: this came with the Colourstrong hair dye which has a primer and then this step 3 tube. Nothing miraculous.
  • MUA Professional eyeshadow palette "Undressed": I swear I have had this on the go since 2016... and been using almost every day for at least the past year! There are 3 colours left (from 12), but ones I cannot get a complete look from. I have SO many palettes... and I am so tempted to actually start one I have not used before - when really I should get on to using up another started one....

Would love to join thread, want to work through my stash before Advent season, and might be a house move in the coming months, so would not like to move my hoard from one place to another!
I am currently trying to de-stash more perfume than skincare, bodycare ect as ive noticed some i have left for a long period have time smell off, so its time i use them! Shower gels also an issue and lip products!

Few more empties. Ignore the Margaret Dabbs, looks like I posted that in my last empties.

Ever since Cult Beauty/LF changed their recycle scheme I've got a box full of empties I haven't got around to doing anything with. Keep meaning to try Boots but need to time it with making a purchase so I'm just not sure it will work out that well for me.

MediK8 Advanced Peptides Serum - I like this, it's nice to use. I have another one in the stash and will probably get one via the SpaceNK advent. I'm not sure I can say if it's done anything fine line wise at the moment.

Sunday Riley A+ Retinol serum - A deluxe size, first time trying this out. Really like it as a formula but it's expensive so I don't know if it's worth it compared to cheaper options. I've moved on to MediK8 Crystal Retinal 6 from the stash. I honestly don't know if retinols/retinals are doing anything at this point either. My skin looks loads better than it did a couple of years ago when I decided to up my skincare game but I feel like I've plateaued in terms of visible gains.

Dear Klairs Tercel Mask - Didn't like this, didn't find it especially rich or moisturising. I have a different DK mask still to try.

Biodance Collegen Mask - used these before and I may still have a couple of others but I lack the patience to leave them on for the full time until they go clear (4 hours or overnight). When they're all gone I won't seek out more for that reason.

I have gone through all my eyeshadow palettes and have decided to pass on 9! Still have 2 Urban Decay ones, 2 Emily Noel x Revolution, 1 Revolution and 1 W7 one! Plus a nearly finished Chanel one which I cannot bear to part with.
Think I have enough to last me the rest of my days but I feel that I may succumb at some point again.

Two new empties:

  • Aveeno Baby dermexa emollient cream for very dry, itchy skin: I bought this as it was 50% off in Boots. Instantly calming and soothing. My poor skin - seriously have no clue what is up This does leave a slight film but I would definitely RP if I see on offer again.
  • Dr Dent teeth whitening strips x14: made no dent (forgive the pun) on my yellow teeth

Finished a L’Oréal micellar water and a Clarins face wash.

moved onto a soap and glory vit c face wash. I really like this one. Leave my skin feeling fresh. The bit I don’t like….its huge and will take forever to get through.

Caggie09 · 24/08/2025 09:22

One perfume used up this week.
Got this from duty free in France, this is my second bottle i have used.
Its such a sweet scent and im suprised how long it lasts on my skin. I have another one to use up now, and when im next in France will pick it up again. I love having perfumes that remind me of travels and become sentimental to me!

Monday hair conditioner - love the scent and works very well. Maybe I liked it because my previous conditioner (Redken) was so bad. Anyway, would buy again.

Paulas Choice exfoliant - works really well, quite noticeable difference in skin tone after using this.

Ultra Violette sunscreen - I liked it at first, it’s like a tinted moisturiser, but after last use I noticed it turned orange. Bin.

Milk lip oil - love it, have many more already.

Pixi eye patches - they’re ok, nothing to dislike.

Moroccan oil hair mask - difficult to tell after one use. I don’t think it made big difference.

Hope it’s ok that I join in too. I recently organised my stash of minis and backups into product categories within clear travel bags so I can finally see what I have. And now I need to use it all up! I’ve made a bit of progress the last few weeks, my empties:

Mini Nars Concealer - favourite concealer, have used for years and have more in the stash.

Ultra Violette Lean Screen SPF - really don’t like this, tried it twice and it stings my eyes. Throwing it out unfinished.

Drunk Elephant Water Facial - This is nice but not sure whether it really does anything for my skin. Won’t repurchase.

Drunk Elephant Baby Facial - Love this exfoliating mask, it’s a repeat purchase for me and already had another lined up and ready to go.

REN Evercalm Serum - Lovely, very calming on my skin. Gutted to see REN close and will now need to find a serum to replace it.

The Ordinary GF serum - Light and watery, absorbs well into the skin. Have another bottle lined up.

Drunk Elephant Protini cream - HG moisturiser, have been using for years and will continue to buy when there’s a discount, a bit pricey otherwise

Biossance Probiotic moisturiser - This was lovely, quite light for day time / summer use, might repurchase

Farmacy Honey Halo - Very rich, great as a night cream or after actives, might repurchase one day

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Facial Oil - Really nice texture, felt very nourishing, just not sure I need an oil in my skincare routine right now

Stella After-Care serum - This felt very nice and smooth on, not sure I need it

@BlueHeat good call on throwing that sunscreen. I believe it's the one that was independently found to actually have an SPF rating of 4. UV have had to apologise and withdraw from sale.

CorneliaStreet · 24/08/2025 14:24

Hi @BlueHeat, welcome.

I haven’t tried the REN serum but if you’re looking for something that feels really soothing, I recommend the Beauty of Joseon Calming serum.

Oh, thanks for letting me know! That news story totally passed me by, I’m relieved I didn’t get on with it!

I do like their Supreme Screen and glad that hasn’t been shown to be ineffective. It does make me wonder though… I’m about 3/4s of the way through a big bottle of that and will probably move onto Korean sunscreens next. I tried a friend’s Beauty of Joeson’s sunscreen the other day and it felt lovely on my skin. Plus they are so much cheaper.

OvaHere · 24/08/2025 14:55

@BlueHeat agree on the k beauty sunscreens. My fave is Numbuzin No1 as it has a green tint which tones down my pinky skin but I also love the BoJ. None that I've tried have stung my eyes which is great as so many do - I couldn't get on with UV for that reason. I also like La Roche Posay sunscreen too so if I couldn't get hold of korean ones I would be happy enough with that.

Thanks for the warm welcome and for the BoJ serum recommendation. I’m curious about that brand, as I wrote in another post I tried a friend’s sunscreen the other day and it was really lovely to wear. While I’m trying to use up the stash, I am allowing myself to replace products that I really need in my routine.

OvaHere · 24/08/2025 14:58

Purito also do a few different calming serums. I think I have the centella one in my stash but haven't got round to trying it yet.
