I've done it! Ordered the mystery box. I'm going to restock my vogue with it for this year! I just hope I like it!

Sunnydaysarehereonceagain · 02/11/2024 07:17

I hope so @MrsBnow12. I’ll think positive thoughts and look forward to the box arriving 😊

Branster · 02/11/2024 07:29

I might go and hide for a bit and turn my phone off. If the scenario was yesterday's box £80 and today's £50, or similar up to £200 together, I'd have bought one today without hesitation, knowing there would be a lot of duplicates.
I mean what's £150 when I've been so so so good for so so so long. I'm forgetting about any devices, I'll assume it's a nonsense face thingy nobody ever uses.

Sunnydaysarehereonceagain · 02/11/2024 07:39

I would definitely be happy with a Foreo Bear @Branster 😊

MrsBnow12 · 02/11/2024 07:44

Not being an enabler but it is a great way to get fabulous branded items at a fraction of the price and stock up for the next year. I am hoping not to buy anything now until next advent season.
I also look at it as if you can afford it and brings you joy then life is too short x

bizzey · 02/11/2024 07:44

@MrsBnow12 ...
Eeekkk !!!
I don't know wether to curse you or kiss you 👄😂!

Colour looks fine and a space NK lip cracker is on its way to me !!

I don't wear much makeup ...but a lippy is always in my bag !

I am fortunate..or unfortunate ? to have a birthday just before Christmas...and my lovely mum is always stumped what to get me .

After many years of learning it the hard way (😂😂😂) I buy something in that price range ...and she just gives me the money !!

She will be thrilled that it is lippy , as she always jokes about it !

Win win all round ! 😂

bizzey · 02/11/2024 07:45

Ohh the curse bit was that now I have joined up to the mailing list !
And will keep wanting to buy more ..and more ..and more ..!

Twinsandsome · 02/11/2024 07:52

Aww I must have missed it again gutted

bizzey · 02/11/2024 07:57

?? The lip crackers are still there.

Doubleraspberry · 02/11/2024 08:06

I’ve just bought the £150 Bridal box out of nowhere. What has this thread done to me???!

Anyway, it can be gifts for DD and also things for her to give her friends as she is bankrupting me in Superdrug. And her Christmas is now done. And hopefully the Trinny item will be the neck lift thing I want to try.

MrsBnow12 · 02/11/2024 08:09

@bizzey I loved the lipstick colour and the Tatcha lip, I was very happy with my purchase.
@Twinsandsome I will tag you if I see it available again x

IDontHateRainbows · 02/11/2024 08:20

Wary to spend £150 on a mystery box. What's to stop them changing the contents once it's got a bit of publicity?

£50 or so I'd risk it but not £150

Loads of other non mystery boxes around right now

Branster · 02/11/2024 08:36

@IDontHateRainbows I wouldn't as a first buy from there. The value would be what they promise but there's no way of knowing what's inside.
Maybe try the normal cheaper mistery boxes to find out if they more or less match your preferences. You're always going to have something you don't need or like but, so far, I could cope with those because they'd be decent products.

FredaFox · 02/11/2024 08:37

MidnightMeltdown · 27/10/2024 10:33

I notice that Elemis is still available, whereas it sold out really quickly last year. It seems to have some terrible reviews

'53% would recommend'

Oh dear! I wanted to try the Elemis one but always end up with too many multi brand calendars to justify.

I had Elemis last year, I did like it but it's not enough full size for the money

I feel the same, I don't want a mystery. I like to know what I'm getting. Also I've not been impressed with many of this year's calendars, so I'm wary these mystery boxes will contain a similar offering.
I agree there's some great beauty boxes, I recently got the lib British beauty box £58 and the look good feel better charity box £50 and I'm pretty sure both were full size products only.

Summerdew · 02/11/2024 08:43

I can’t justify 150 having just got the festival edit and some other bits and pieces recently, but everything I’ve had from the Bridal Beauty co has been decent. Yes some filler items but in the main very recognisable brands in full sizes.

diamondsandrose · 02/11/2024 08:53

Warming ...Bridal beauty not great customer service ... I complained because 2 of my products were off and they were really rude
So rude that I had to write a complaint to the owner on Instagram because I couldn't get anywhere with CS.
I also noticed my name coming up 3 times in their reviews . I have a really unusual name... I did not write a review never mind 3. They are also mainly over the top glowing reviews.. suspicious.

Products were mainly unheard of brands/ stuff you could get out of tk maxx. Couple of good things but definitely not worth the money.
Aromatherapy Associates spray was sour , Whind face mask had separated. When you google the items the majority are discontinued.

Not for me! Think they buy old stock from companies and sell them claiming the RRP. Mystery box just a way of getting rid of stuff .

Another thing I just thought of... who is the charity ?

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 02/11/2024 08:55

I can't take the risk of another Foreo device.... because I have so many of them! I love Foreo, I buy (too) many of them so I don't need another Bear or UFO or Iris...

Puravida23 · 02/11/2024 09:05

I have used Bridal Beauty before and thought them good but never the mystery boxes. I don't like a surprise. I like to know what I am buying have costed it up , read the reviews. Did a cost usage analysis. Convinced myself I need it. Put it in my basket and taken it out multiple times before I buy!
The thought of just buying without knowing makes me feel quite queasy but I am excited to know what you get . Please share a photo/, description when you do open them

lokijet · 02/11/2024 09:16

Any decent fragrance calendars (male or female) as I missed out on HN

VirginiaCreepers · 02/11/2024 09:28

TreesinthePark · 01/11/2024 07:58

I am not sure I can help!

But if anyone is creating their own advent, I have just purchased the Zelens Power D 30ml serum from TKMax for £16.99

Edited

Another thank you. That is a bargain price for 30ml.

Puravida23 · 02/11/2024 09:31

@lokijet . I can't think of an advent but Liberty recently released a fragrance bag Liberty scent and I think ASOS may have a few fragrance crackers available

Argh. This post really worries me. I’ve emailed to ask to cancel - they say no refunds as the money goes straight to the charity but it hasn’t been dispatched yet and distance selling regs work against them a bit there. If I can’t cancel then I’ll just see what I get.

virgocatlover · 02/11/2024 09:34

I think the HN calendar (the normal one) looks quite good and it's still available. Hoping for a discount...

I think sometimes you have to be a bit careful of marketing tactics on here. Applies to lots of brands. One marketer will plop into a thread raving about x product, another (or another account at least) will then plop on and agree with how amazing x product is, thus producing hype and encouraging thread users to buy, but it's not real.
