Bargain 🙈

After lusting after Jo Malone and Jo Loves, I decided I reallllly don't need a perfume advent calendar as I have so many perfumes already 🙈 But I got myself a Grüum advent calendar! Has anyone heard of them or got the calendar?? It was £50 for 24 full sized products so seemed a bargain.

I now have that and my Space NK one, happy with that! 🥰

Kind of. It may still have been cheaper to buy on YesStyle or Stylevana during one of their sales but there's a minimum for free shipping on there and it takes a few weeks to come.

I have a huge number of favourited items on there but with the intention of doing a haul well into the new year when I've worked my way through a decent amount of current stuff.

That looks interesting. And at that price, it's worth a punt even if you don't know what's in it. I don't understand though why they won't tell you what's in it. The 7 things they have listed sound nice.

I think the issue is that talc should be asbestos free but when they’ve tested products randomly some have been found to contain asbestos. In 2019 they tested Claire’s make up (for kids!) and found that some contained asbestos! I used to love an EL powder makeup and when I ran out I went to repurchase but found that it had been discontinued. A quick google to find out why or if there was an alternative brought up that there had been claims against them after people had developed cancer possibly linked to asbestos in talc in the loose powder products!

@OchonAgusOchonOh yes I liked the sound of the things they've revealed and I quite like getting a complete surprise! At £2.08 a product hopefully it's a winner!

I kept loosing the AC threads ...so I have hunted you down to say thank you to @IlovePond and others for encouraging me to get the H&B AC when I did .It is OOS now as predicted!

And the Boots Macmillan AC is
back up to £90 ...I got it for £45 !

So .. ..I was very pleased with my bargains !

Buuutttt......I now have a JL beauty box in its way to me as well 🤦😂😂!!

I am justifying it to myself that that is ...£150 for 4 people's Xmas presents (the bits I don't want or really need !) and a years worth of skin care ..so it evens itself out ...

Unless an item makes me look like a fresh faced 25 year old and I end up buying it by the truck load 😄😄!

Not opened mine as it is easier to store as it is ....

But I went on YT and watched the opening of it and wrote the numbers down so I know which number I am gifting instead of having to look in all of them .

Aah thanks @bizzey - I am so glad you got H&B - it’s a lovely calendar! I was tempted by the JL BB but I keep trying to tell myself I have bought too much already, (plus I bought some Kbeauty stuff today🙀).

Some may even stay in the boxes to wrap with a decorative bow over the number 😂😂!

Thank you for this discount code, I also got 22% off which tipped the balance for me buying the Lumene advent calendar which I wanted last year but couldn’t justify after buying several other calendars and then couldn’t justify as I bought the LF calendar a few weeks ago but at 22% off I couldn’t resist…

Even though 2 hours earlier I had succumbed to the JL beauty box on the basis that I was not going to buy another calendar this year! Oooops!

I know it was discussed when it first came out and not many of you seemed keen, but I got the White Company AC at the weekend for £158 with this 20% off code. (Instore)

I'm quite pleased with that, as I was so far calendar-less.

Normal price is £195. The 20% off is generic and and applies to everything until 4th November if its helpful to anyone.

OK AC down to £85 with a free beauty box worth £100. Too makeup heavy for me but otherwise it looks nice and very good price.

I got the OK calendars yesterday and when you go to check out it's actually £80 and a free box. I got them for my Dds who probably enjoy the make up more.
