@Seendacut The John Lewis one may come back in stock (or check instore if you’re local), which is £195.
As you’ve upped your budget, Liberty and Fortnum & Mason have a good variety too. It very much depends which brands you prefer.
Personally I went for Space NK and JL, but that’s because I don’t usually buy beauty AC’s so didn’t want to go too high end buying an AC with a lot of products I didn’t know

@TriciaMcMillan @OvaHere @Doubleraspberry @Addictedtobeauty @Puravida23

Thank you all for your suggestions. I really like the Forrnum and Mason one but I saw the Space NK one and I would have bought that if it was available! If I want one next year, I'll remember to start looking from the summer! 😆

My DH suggested to get a skincare subscription if I wasn't too sure and that way id get to look forward to something every month. It's a great idea and might consider that too!

Ooh I do like that one and it's cheaper than Fortmun too! . How realistic is it that it'll come back in stock?

It did come back into stock briefly, but not sure it's likely that'll happen again. Worth checking if there's a JL local to you that has one and ask them to hold it?

And yes, it's been utterly mad this year, so definitely worth starting early next year!

LivinInYourBigGlassHouseWithAView · 24/10/2024 21:56

JL has come back into stock a couple of times, keep watching, and see if it's available in shops

LivinInYourBigGlassHouseWithAView · 24/10/2024 22:03

Liberty and Fortnum and Mason are still available, but admittedly over your stated budget. Fenwick (12 days, but includes £70 gift with purchase at the moment).

JL has an 'email me' button, so there may be hope yet there as they manage inventory

Just had a look at the F&M calendar, looks lovely, anyone had it previously?

Yes I’ve had it a few years, lovely products and gorgeous box.

Don't hold me to this but I read a post on a FB group earlier from someone who had emailed SpaceNK and was told there might be more stock coming in November.

IDontHateRainbows · 25/10/2024 05:32

Not seen it mentioned much on here but I rate the house of fraser christmas box at £69. There's about 17 items and it's a good cost to RRP ratio.
Only downside is there's not 24 items and they are not in individual drawers but anyone looking to make up a calendar for someone could easily get a box and 7 other items if they wanted a cheaper option. I think the contents are really good and mostly full size.

Expo23 · 25/10/2024 05:54

That's a lovely idea @IDontHateRainbows 🌸

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 25/10/2024 06:22

My Look Fantastic was delivered yesterday. I’m a bit pissed off that they took the payment on 5th October.

JulesJules · 25/10/2024 07:40

I've just read the Mumsnet official extensive round up and review of beauty calendars and was extremely surprised that the John Lewis one does not even get a mention in passing. A lot about the Jurlique and the OK calendars which I haven't seen on these threads I don't think.

Doubleraspberry · 25/10/2024 07:44

I assume those lists are paid placement. Am I wrong?

Almost certainly.

Doubleraspberry · 25/10/2024 07:49

Certainly right or wrong? 😁

They haven’t mentioned the calendars that are sold out, I think. I was a bit surprised Liberty was crowned the winner when these threads have given it to SpaceNK by some distance this year but then realised there’s no point mentioning it when you can’t get it!

OvaHere · 25/10/2024 08:32

Sephora sale started today. 15% off for bronze and 20% for silver and gold. Don't know if the advent calendar is included.
If you were planning to get some xmas sets or stock up on anything it'd probably a good time to do it.

That's what I assume too

The Mumsnet editor's round up had a section on the calendars that have sold out - JL not mentioned there either (and it has come back into stock in previous years having sold out initially)

OvaHere · 25/10/2024 09:22

Email from Cult Beauty (they'll all be trying to compete with Sephora for a few days).

Early access to GWP worth over £195 when spending £150.
