I think there was one a few months/weeks back but can't find it, so apologies if doubling up.
What perfume are you wearing today?
I will wear Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur in hope it will actually be warm today.

Morning ladies, quite a band boring scent from me today don't have much sense of smell so makes little difference at min. Today's scent is verveine by fragonard very light bit that may be my nose blindness at min

evtheria · 25/11/2024 11:56

Don't know if anyone would be interested but Fragrance Samples UK (I occasionally buy mine from here) is doing a code: BLACKFRIDAY20

The Kayali Boujie marshmallow arrived so wearing that.

my daughter was home this weekend and took the layering samples set as well.

I have to say I am impressed. I only tried a couple from the set. An apple and a cherry one. And they were both lovely.

The marshmallow one is really fruity and creamy at first and has dried down into a really nice, slightly sweet creamy vanilla. With a bit of musk. I think the musk stops it from being too cloying. I am surprised I like it so much as I am not overly found of very sweet perfumes. Definitely going to wear this tomorrow and see what my close colleagues think. We always discuss, scent of the day.

Also going to get the set for myself.

I've ordered the vanilla set and the mini sampler from Sephora with 20% off BF + gwp.

I like the vanilla 28, interested to try the coco one. Will probably sell on the others.

I like the kayali minis, good size (10ml) and more exciting bottle than the standard test tube bottle you usually get with 10mls.

LightandBreezy · 25/11/2024 14:19

There's also 30% of everything for Black Friday at Sana Jardin - I like the look of the discovery sample set for £24 partly because it also includes a voucher for £35 off any full size purchase.

LightandBreezy · 25/11/2024 14:21

Also hoping @AprilLady feels better / regains her sense of smell soon! 💐

Tried on my sample of mumbai noise.. ohhh I really dislike it. Which was surprising to me as looking at the notes, it sounds like something I'd be in to. Oud and coffee. It might be the davana plant(?) note? Hmm, interesting how we all like different things. But I did find it's not long lasting too which I've seen mentioned on this thread.

I tried mumbai noise today and also really dislike it! I still can't figure out what it is that I really dislike in perfumes, it might be oud? Coffee is definitely something that I would typically like

MiaN · 25/11/2024 18:53

I don't like mumbai noise either, but yes we all have different taste.

My cult beauty arrived with Ginger Biscuit Jo Malone and the second spritz and go GWP. I have zero use of the fugazzi, and I am done selling things for the moment. No interest in Charlotte Tilbury samples either but the rest I am really looking forward to and willing to give pistachio gelato another chance.

I am tempted to buy Naxos Xerjoff for my husband so I can rob it on occasion. It wouldn't be the first time I have done something like this.

IDontHateRainbows · 25/11/2024 19:11

Well, I found the Mojave Ghost absolu in selfridges and ... I'm in love. Definitely a stronger fruity note to begin, but dries down into the lovely creamy woody scent that is MG. Hopefully will last longer. I did spritz a lot on but it feels stronger.

DH is buying me it for Christmas!

I'm not an oud fan but I love coffee. It has a cardamonny whiff to it IMO although I don't think that's officially an ingredient.

How strange that we are all so different!

TheLongRider · 25/11/2024 19:14

Perfumer H Smoke today. Not a smoky bonfire smell, more like the smell of incense and beeswax candles. It's has the same smooth dry down as most of Lyn Harris's perfumes. I prefer Miller Harris Etui Noir but this is perfectly nice and long lasting.

I've ordered some samples online and had some free ones from facebook and started rating them on a spreadsheet :) So far I have Byredo Lil Fleur, Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka and Hermes Barenia as my top rated fragrance. I also love Chanel no 5, but for the life of me can't figure what all of them have in common, maybe nothing at all. I'll keep on testing. Tried Xerjoff Naxos today and really didn't like it, was too sweet and almost cloying.

I too find that my favourites can be miles apart in terms of ingredients, scent, vibe etc. Keeps life interesting!

Bedtime scent tonight is liberty Hera Reigns. It's one of the only oud-y ones I like.

What do you mean by “bedtime scent”? Is it a calming fragrance to help you relax?

happytobemrsg · 25/11/2024 23:30

Judging by this thread I think I need to up my perfume game! No idea how but I need to broaden my horizons a bit further than JM

MiaN · 26/11/2024 07:35

Naxos is intense.

I have bedtime scent (or few) and yes indeed it is calming fragrance that I spray on my fluffy dressing robe that I put after shower/bath at night. I like to take the scent off when I am actually going to bed, so it’s either that or it has to be something with very poor longevity.

I also like testing fragrance at night, after shower or bath but only spray on hand as I need to be able to wash it off properly.

IDontHateRainbows · 26/11/2024 07:57

I'm just a frag head and like to use bedtime as an excuse to try something else. I Don usually fall asleep straight away as ll read or doom scroll, so it's not wasted! DH and I sleep separately so I'm not inflicting it on him.

Byredo Eyes Closed today. Not sure I'm a fan. Opening is soapy then peppery. May have to spray some vanilla 28 on it to soften it. Also is office day. For once i may be glad of Byredos lack of longevity.

MiaN · 26/11/2024 13:22

SpaceNK have 20% off byredo including the new Mojave Ghost

Realdeal1 · 26/11/2024 13:37

Perfume experts! Debating buying the Tom Ford tuberose as a gift for someone who likes scents like Bottega Venetta or Fracas, is the TF one a good option. Smells great to me but it's an expensive mistake if not

Yes, I have already succumbed to Harvey Nick's at 15% off unfortunately. Only a 5%difference but at that price point it would make a difference. Luckily it's my Xmas present from DH so he's paying!

LightandBreezy · 26/11/2024 14:16

I've tried Tiger by her side by Sana Jardin today - not really my kind of scent but it's improving with time. Reminds me of an ancient bottle of Chanel no 5 my Nan had - maybe because they both have patchouli? Will try Ambre Maquis by Bastide tomorrow, although am a bit doubtful I'll like it as TBHS is also amber-based.

spikeandbuffy · 26/11/2024 14:24

Sticking with funfair evening again for today
