Stupid question alert
Cod emailed me to say I'm getting the Avon conceler to test. Then an e-mail from Avon. Am I supposed to tell aAvon my address or does Cod send them out?
Sorry for being such a novice, but I promise to do rigorous testing.

You sent me and email saying I was getting avon pen, then you sent me the email that avon sent you .I'm easily confused. I'm old.

Hi cod, talking of strange emails I got one saying my cat had been lost. Contact or pussy. Think my pussys fine. Anyway, hope you got my details ok. Thanks.

I'm not one of Cods testers. I use Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Renewal. Elemis Can't say I have dark circles, but there is the beginnings of lines at the corners, so I'm hoping the cream keeps them at bay, since I started using it, they've not got any worse but can't see an improvement. At £55 it is expensive, but a little goes a long way and it doesn't make my eyes puffy like Clinque did. I'm interested if there are cheaper alternatives.

Ok thanks.

I've got some of that Elemis eye stuff as well. It's fab. Elemis is defo the best moisturiser/eye cream I've ever used.

AllwaysDoingSomething · 09/04/2008 17:07

The Elemis eye cream has no smell, unlike the rest of their product which do smell lovely. Cod, have you plans for a neck/bust cream codpeice?

Ooh - I'd do bust/decollete/decolletage creams.

I have been using Simple Regen+ smoothing eye cream for about 3 weeks now, and have been impressed. Doesn't really smell of anything, only need a tiny amount. Smooths in well, and I really think it's made my upper eyelids smoother. £12.99, so not ultra-cheap, but I'd buy it again. Probably give it 8 out of 10.

Before that I was using Liz Earle Smoothing Line Serum and it was OK, but actually I liked it more for using all over my face as an oil-free moisturiser. It didn't do huge amounts for my eyes, though it was a gel texture, so maybe seemed a bit lighter than the Simple. £12.25, though it lasted for ages. Probably 6 out of 10 for that one.

JackieNo · 09/04/2008 17:57

(what's the difference between a decollete and a decolletage I wonder? Sorry, can't do accents on here)

Anna8888 · 09/04/2008 18:07

I think décolleté is the right word

JackieNo · 09/04/2008 18:15

so how do you do the accents, Anna - I could cut and paste from Word, maybe, but couldn't be bothered.

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 09/04/2008 18:57

As I started saying on some other thread, I have been sent Avon Anew Ultimate Contouring Eye Cream.
It is a two-part eye cream, you have your normal eye cream bit, and then a special 'elixir' that you put on over the top at night. Have been using for a week, and eye area feels softer and much more hydrated. Main problems aside from tight dry skin are dark circles and crow's feet. No visible change, but very nice feeling product.
Packaging is all black and gold, fairly 'classy' I suppose.
Has improved my opinion of Avon, I assumed it was all a pile of crap.
I've got loads of the cream left, but have nearly used up the elixir, so may have been overapplying a tad.

Anna8888 · 09/04/2008 19:50

JackieNo - I have a French keyboard

JackieNo · 09/04/2008 20:32

Ah - that explains it Anna.

Not an official tester and not sure this cream is available in the UK, but just in case...

Have a GUINOT one (Hydrazone Yeux) which I invested in in sheer desperation a few weeks ago.

Lovely smell, v. light going on, didn't set off any allergies (severe eczema here) and for the 1st couple of weeks I did notice it worked really well on those "fine lines" (more like troughs here).

Have stopped using it now because I found it was not hydrating enough and I was getting flaky eyes. To put this into perspective though, I generally use cream thicker than vaseline just to keep the dryness at bay.

Must try using it in the mornings at least so I haven't completely wasted 30?
