You have testers? Can I be one please?

Not eye cream though, I have no bags or dark circles . In fact have no business being on this thread, other than wanting to be a tester not a riffraff.

controlfreakyagain · 09/04/2008 21:45

oil of olay regenerist eye cream. v v good. not cheap, not stratospherically expensive... about £15? really works....

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 09/04/2008 21:48

does the oil of olay improve lines and dark circles?

controlfreakyagain · 09/04/2008 22:06

oh yes yes yes

hoxtonchick · 09/04/2008 22:18

vichy sent me this and this.

the first one is lovely & cooling. you just dab it on, i think you're meant to massage a bit or something. no smell really, looks a bit offputting imo, like a mini-stick deodorant. although it felt nice not sure it made my eyes look any different.

the 2nd one is a light cream, again no obvious smell. it went on well & was very easily absorbed. the skin round my eyes feels lovely & soft after using both of them daily for a week. not sure about the effect on wrinkles/dark shadows as i didn't really have them to begin with. but am v. grateful for freebies .

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 10/04/2008 08:59

at no wrinkles.

I've had crow's feet forever, and I'm only 34. Sob.

largeginandtonic · 10/04/2008 10:46

Orangina i love you, my elemis arrived today Thank you for the kind words too.

It is divine i am not sure i have put anything so posh on my face ever. A dropper and serum No smell though.

Will use religiously, if it makes a dent in these monstrous bags that lurk under my eyes like evil shadows then it will be a miracle. I have every faith in it.

Thank you, thank you.

largeginandtonic · 10/04/2008 10:49

It also came with a teeny tiny rose exfoliator, looks lovely too.

The eye serum is this one by the way.

is that your virusy thing (or some eye cream we should all be avoiding?)

hoxtonchick · 10/04/2008 19:08

oooh yes cod, with my pashmina . do you want me to send you the eye stuff?

taliac · 10/04/2008 20:12

Though I'm not an Official Tester I am an eye cream tart so I'm giving you my opinion anyway.

Although I've never had bags I've always suffered from under eye circles (dark red rather than black) and black shadows in the eye socket where it meets the nose. So I do tend to slather on the eye cream quite generously and then use concealer on top (the right cream also has the advantage of stopping the concealer going on too thick)

I have just finished a pot of Origins Eye Doctor, which I liked a lot. It had a nice silky but thick texture, and was good at moisturising the eye area. Unfortunately I left the lid off and it all dried up. I intended to go get some more, but the lady at the Origins counter confused me by trying to sell me a different one with mushrooms in which smelled rank. I legged it when her back was turned.

Instead I bought Benefit EyeCon. It was an impulse buy in boots and I'm afraid not a good one. It may indeed do what it says it does - it has fading action apparently - but its a bit thin and doesn't really feel nice going on. Its also useless under make up.

I used to quite like MAC Fast Response Eye Cream, so I was considering getting some more of that. But apparently now I'm a Mum I'm not allowed to.

So I've decided to swap the Aveda stuff I got given for my birthday but didnt want for an Aveda Tourmaline Charged Eye Creme. It brings radiance to tired eye area apparently, and I have a good feeling about it. I shall report back.

TheCoderator · 10/04/2008 22:58

oh this is VERY serious now isnt it.
yes oyu cnanot buy a cream that announces itself as a con surely.

taliac · 10/04/2008 23:04

I know. I knew it was wrong when I bought it. I'm just a sucker for BeneFit and their weird mid word capitalisations and 50s pop culture references.

Pillow · 11/04/2008 00:07

Why cant you use the MAC one now youre a mum?

taliac · 11/04/2008 10:09

Because I have ishooos.

here

nailpolish · 11/04/2008 10:21

i have stopped using my body shop one after 4 days or so

it makes the skin around my eyes STING
not my eyes but where i put the cream
its UN believable from body shop, i think

this one

i have never been allergic or sensitive to any cosmetic ever, but this made my eye are smart

Fullmoonfiend · 11/04/2008 12:11

the Body shop used to do an elderberry eye gel - which 'burned' my poor sensitive skin. I am very careful now.
