Sandals that hide or mostly cover toes?

Newnamesameoldlurker · 20/04/2024 15:05

I have very ugly toes. Every summer I start an extensive search for sandals that don't fully expose them and I always find it very difficult to find attractive styles. I keep coming back to fisherman styles but they look a bit clunky on me (I'm very tall and can't pull off anything too bulky/masculine). Any other ugly- toed women on this board who could make some suggestions?!

Another pair to add to- these are by yokono , don't show lots of toe, and are incredibly comfortable. I've bought many pairs, as I wear them for work and tend to wear the sole down, but I keep coming back for more.

What about something like these ?

@Newnamesameoldlurker try Karrimor Ithaca Sandals from sports direct - they are sporty rather than pretty but they are comfortable and suitable for wearing all day.

These were from Shien last year. They probably would last too long if worn all the time as the soles are quite thin. The upper is really soft, great if you’re prone to rubbing toes.

Fit flops have arch support but sadly no yoe covered sandals this season. The holy grail of sandal for me would be a fit flop base on a delicate fisherman style sandal. Most of the fishermsn style sandals are too clumpy to wear with dresses & skirts.

These are really nice. I ordered a similar pair in black from Oliver bonas but they gave me blisters 😫a pp suggested a blister stick so I'm going to try that first then maybe sell if they don't get more comfortable

Thanks for this suggestion- when I googled these I also found these ones from mountain warehouse which I really like- a sort of trainer/sandal hybrid

Holy grail indeed! Someone needs to make exactly what you've described

Yes they arrived, they are lovely but I'm sending them back as they're unflattering- they expose my most misshapen toe😥
I've ordered these instead:
