Sandals that hide or mostly cover toes?

I have very ugly toes. Every summer I start an extensive search for sandals that don't fully expose them and I always find it very difficult to find attractive styles. I keep coming back to fisherman styles but they look a bit clunky on me (I'm very tall and can't pull off anything too bulky/masculine). Any other ugly- toed women on this board who could make some suggestions?!

I've actually just bought a pair of these!

I'm a bit worried to wear them as they're quite 'trendy' 😅 but going to be brave

I had those in about 1984!

Have a look at Saltwater Shark sandals, they mostly hide the toes

I was coming on to say that too. I've had mine for years - they've been in the sea, walked many miles on city breaks and are often just my general day to day sandals and they still look as good as new.

I was a bit worried initially because they're so flat that I wondered if they'd be uncomfortable, but they were fantastic from day 1.

I need some for the office, it’s unacceptable to have naked toes where I work and my toes look like rotten chipolaters

Trickedbyadoughnut · 02/05/2024 12:50

I have dyshidrotic eczema, but need work sandals for summer as have no air con in the office, so have been looking at these from Zara. I wanted to try them on as I fear they might not be comfortable though!

That is just what I was about to say, but mine were white!

I have the same problem, and I bought these last year after a recommendation from these threads. They are so comfortable, don’t feel silly if it rains and they have a slight rise which I need, rather than flats. I will be buying a different colour this year.

Menorcan Sandals - I get mine from Palmaira.

These are great! I hate my toes and have been looking on eBay Vinted etc for fitflop cova sandals in black, as they are no longer in production . I could have written OP thread. The struggle is real!

Solillas sandals

I love these (although I don't have an issue with my toes!)

Oh I love these pictures thank you for sharing. But why oh why do brands take so few pictures of models actually wearing the shoes! So frustrating. I need to see toe visibility people!
....Same with photos of the inside of handbags 😡

Those zara fisherman style sandals are gorgeous. I have been looking on other sites for a tan pair but they are all much chunkier.

I always wear espadrilles (manebi) or canvas trainers when it is spring but when it is too warm go for the sandal version.

Office ganni - very comfortable have had for a couple of years.
Many stores like john lewis often have this kind if you aren’t keen on the lace ups Espadrilles

I have seen These for a while but worried they will flap around. Alohas do other minimal toe shoeing styles though.

Oh no!

Closed toe wedge espadrilles.

MiniCooperLover · 02/05/2024 21:28

Saltwaters have brought out some fisherman's sandals and they look lovely, hide the toes perfectly

Dargawn · 02/05/2024 22:30

Just got the most gorgeous fisherman closed toe sandals from Oliver bonas and I am thrilled with them!! I don’t want my toes on show either as personally don’t think anyone should show toes unless on beach!!

Newnamesameoldlurker · 03/05/2024 10:31

I keep getting ads for these! The algorithm knows what I'm after 😂they are gorgeous but sadly la redoute only goes up to size 7, and my feet as well as being ugly are gigantic

I've just bought a pair from Oliver bonas, I wonder if they're the same ones. I'm really happy with them; they look stylish and not too clunky

It drives me mad too when they don't show the shoe on a foot!!

I just bought the light coloured version of these. I've gone a bit mad now buying different sandals after making this thread😅

Argh they are quite 1980s aren't they- I wish I hadn't bought them now as I think I'll feel too ridiculous wearing them. Too late to return so I might have to flog them on vinted

I love these and am buying a pair right now!!! 😂 love the leopard prints

Just a warning about buying Menorca sandals...

They are addictive and you'll be hiding many pairs under the bed in no time.

Ok, I've told you, do with that what you will 😆
