Very fashionable. But do you like your trousers to drag on the floor?

Gensola · 15/04/2024 13:01

I follow Sophie too - I really like her style and the jeans look good on her but I think they’d swamp me at 5 foot 2

therestisstillunwriten · 15/04/2024 13:02

She always looks lovely doesn't she
I just wish I could find a shorter leg
I'm only 5ft 5

No.
No idea.

TextureSeeker · 15/04/2024 13:04

I dont know if they are in style but I don't think they look good. They would be fine if they weren't about 5 inches too long for her.

BusterGonad · 15/04/2024 13:04

I don't like them, and the sandals are awful.

Janetime · 15/04/2024 13:05

No they do her no favours.

DelphiniumBlue · 15/04/2024 13:05

Looks silly to me, and the shoes make it even worse. But you could get jeans that are the right length on you ( get them taken up t the dry cleaners if you can't do it yourself) and still use the outfit idea with coloured jacket and tshirt.

SnapdragonToadflax · 15/04/2024 13:06

They are fashionable but I don't like them at all.

therestisstillunwriten · 15/04/2024 13:24

Do you think most jeans like this will need to be taken up a bit ?
Or just a case of finding the correct leg lengths?

They might be fashionable but let's be honest - they're howling.

They are awful, as are her sandals. There are plenty of nice wide leg jeans and sandals, why anyone would pick these and then put them together to double the awfulness is beyond me.

Peasnbeans · 15/04/2024 13:40

Found some at Sainsbury's. Short length, v wide. Had loads of compliments.
Also at TKMaxx, they're regular length but meant to be a bit cropped. Wide leg. On my 5'2 they're also just right. Both high waist, comfy, pockets.

Even complimented by a 16 yr old (must be getting it right...)

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 15/04/2024 13:45

I have some like that from Abercrombie. Just get a short length or visit a tailor (or wear with heels) if you're petite.

forestsmurf · 15/04/2024 13:46

These are lovely. If a little long on Sophie but I'm sure she is only short too (5 4"). I have some lovely wide leg jeans from H&M and find the length perfect and I'm 5 5".
I also like these sandals 😁

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 15/04/2024 14:02

I would break my neck trying to get down stairs wearing jeans with that much excess fabric Confused

C'mon, they look daft!

SpeculatingRooks · 15/04/2024 14:05

The whole outfit looks like you've nicked some old bloke's clothes

Cofaki · 15/04/2024 14:10

Both the jeans and the jacket sleeves are too long, and the jean colour doesn't look nice against the jacket. No idea if this is in style but I wouldn't wear it

SageRosemary · 15/04/2024 14:11

Those jeans are a trip hazard, don't know who this person is but I think this combination is making her much look shorter than she actually is. The fit is not good on her anyway, apart from the ridiculous length. Looks like something she is trying on for a photo and sending back for a refund/bigger size/shorter length. I love the blue blazer (and white t-shirt combo) but it's too long on her with these jeans, makes her legs look really short.

I'd pair dark blue skinnies or cigarette leg with this blazer and t-shirt

Bananadramallamas · 15/04/2024 14:52

Yeah, no. Guaranteed to trip over in those, not a good look.

pizzaHeart · 15/04/2024 14:59

It depends if you are buying jeans for standing/ sitting or for moving. I can’t imagine anyone moving around in these jeans.
So my answers are:

  1. No
2 I hope not
Chewbecca · 15/04/2024 14:59

Is it really the new fashion? I haven't managed to grasp the ankle flashing one yet, I was waiting for it to warm up a bit!

waftabout · 15/04/2024 15:05

I really don't like them. Chloe loves to shop on insta is full of them too but especially with blazers etc I feel like the proportions are totally wrong.

I'll stick to my mom jeans which I know aren't loved either!
