..does it make my arse look enormous and the dress a bit meh?

The Dress

I was thinking with fantastic necklace, a shrug, fascinator and incredible shoes.

I want to wear this to get married and party (low-key, low-key, low-key) in June.

Obviously I need a different bra (duh)

SO whaddya think?

these would be divine

Oliveoil · 30/03/2008 21:56

there is a bridal section on monsoon

Maidamess · 30/03/2008 21:56

Slur, you do realise we are all going to expect invitations after all the help we've given don't you? Or perhaps the person that suggested what you actually ended up wearing could be invited??!!

S1ur · 30/03/2008 21:56

Tilly yes those woiuld suit the weather (hopefully) very pretty and summery.

Oh Wats those are kinda of exciting, pointy pointy I could kill vampires with a quick kick. I do like though, mmm, shiny and pointy..

look at the backs [swoons]

InTheseShoes · 30/03/2008 21:58

Slur you look lovely in those photos. I do agree that you need different shoes, however, I would like to add that I adore the ones that you have on in the photos as I own a pair identical to them (Debenhams, several years ago??)

A wrap and flowers in your hair (sort of Johnnie Loves Rosie type?) would be lovely and very dressy.

Slur honestly. Trust me have worked for years in shoe retail and was a manager.
Shoes I know

Honestly, if you can get some silver/charcoal strappies try and compare with shoes.
You will see what I mean.

You have to remember you have all that lovely lace detail at the top of your dress and then all that floaty material for the skirt.
Shoes will detract from the dress when you need them to compliment.

Kindersurprise · 30/03/2008 21:59

Don't know how long your hair is, but I like something like this with a real flower, not a fascinator

S1ur · 30/03/2008 22:01

My hair is shoulder length - pob at last cut but sadly lacking style currently. It a light brown dyed blondeish colour. Was going to go for prof highlights beforehand. It is very straight, I do have straightners and when I use them I get a ironed look after very little time.

I like the roses idea. I had been thinking little wildflower types or maybe cornflowers (though not if going the purple route)

Invites for you in the post fab mners, feel like posting your addy??

LOOK AT MY LINK TO THE LOUBOUTINS. they are the type of thing you need. and make sure you look at the backs!

dizzydixies · 30/03/2008 22:02

sophable am in lust love with those shoes
may need to divorce and remarry dh to get them

Nbg · 30/03/2008 22:03

I love shoes. I could look at them all day.

Also I will admit once crying at a pair of shoes because they were just amazing

Still want to be my friend?

Maidamess · 30/03/2008 22:03

I agree with wats about a wrap. esp a gauzy type, its a bit dated IMO....you could end up looking like a bridesmaid rather than a bride. Have fab hair, fab make up, flowers to die for (mirrored in your hair?)and that fur jacket I suggested!!

Heathcliffscathy · 30/03/2008 22:03

it's the back, there is something about the red sole and the silver shoe and [faints]

dizzydixies · 30/03/2008 22:04

silver sandals

Heathcliffscathy · 30/03/2008 22:05

grow grow grow your hair, did you say wedding was in summer, make sure you get whatever highlights you think you need done now, so you know it looks good and can go back to same person for top up. do NOT do something new just before your wedding.

updo with real flowers deffo for summer.

NBG am i right in thinking you had a pair of dorothy shoes? have i got the right gal?

S1ur · 30/03/2008 22:05

Soph those shoes are fab. Can I buy them anyway, even if I don't end wearing that day, one always nneeds plenty of shoes, no?

Wats I am utterly shite at make-up, despite having 5 sisters think I rebelled.

Tilly - thankyou thank you thatis a wicked site.
