Ahhh my first time being able to contribute to one of these threads ☺️. I recently came into some money and went from having no designer bags to - Strathberry burgundy croc purse, a Mulberry green Lily (my special occasion bag), an Oxblood Darley satchel and I recently got a basically new baby pink Darley on Vinted but the bigger one for a bargain so very pleased with them all. The oxblood is my day to day one! I absolutely love the Loewe Flamenco but as a new entrant to the designer bag market I think I probably need to wait a while so my DP doesn’t have a coronary 😂 I was also debating the Loewe basket bag for holiday next month but I wish it had the tie on it like the small one does!

I am currently stalking this one that has been out of stock for quite some time now! But if it could come back in stock for when I go to Paris and then I can get it tax free 😄

@Isabelle70 do you not have to pay import duty now that we're out of the EU?

@Floofydawg I am in the Channel Islands and have been always been able to shop VAT free but since Brexit LV has not offered the service for UK shopping. However, they do offer Tax Free in France. I would expect you can get it too in the UK. I think the tax in France is about 17% and you get about 12% back once the charges have been taken.

Ah I see. My daughter was at Heathrow the other week and said the LV shop wasn't tax free (it used to be) so that makes sense now.

@Isabelle70 but even if you get the French VAT refunded, wouldn't you have to declare the bag and pay UK import VAT on it when you brought it home through customs?

@FancyBiscuitsLevel yes the straps are sturdy! They are a double layer of leather and there’s a reinforced area inside the bag where the straps join it. The quality is good.

I've never bought LV before, because I personally don't like the logo design. However - I know the Neverfull is really popular, so I'm considering this in navy (just over £1.8k).
My question - how useful? My main issue is that there is no zip closure across the top.

No! That's frustrating. I suspect regular customers got the information first.

@EmpressOfTheThread I have one in the Damier Azur print for summer and I have no issues with the top being open. I do have a bag organiser in mine to keep it clean and you can get them with a zip top.
I love the Empreinte leather it's bomb proof! I nearly got the Empreinte Neverfull but changed my mind in store and got the Empreinte Neonoe instead.

I'm pining after a small Bayswater satchel from Mulberry. I had one a few years ago and traded it in when I went on mat leave as I didn't need my own handbag when out with nappy bag and pram. So short sighted of me! Now it only comes in boring colours (mine was a great red) and is way more expensive!

Currently trying to sell my Alexa that I bought last year as a bugger alternative to my camera bag that I'm just carrying my things. It's just too large and floppy. Hoping someone bites on the preloved groups on Facebook and I don't take too massive a loss.
