I should have bought the dress - please help.

I foolishly had a wobble and didn't buy the dress and it's now sold out everywhere (I can see) in my size 16/18.

Does anyone have any other ideas for tracking it down. It's a Monsoon bridal dress. Camilla

OP doesn’t the Monsoon dress have a back that’s ‘too low’? Have u tried it on? I don’t think it would possible to wear with a normal bra.

@Blueink yes but I liked it enough to alter slightly & as it has a strap across the top, I thought we could match it somehow..

I'm a size 8/10, and bought a size 14 wedding dress and had it altered.

Not RTFT but contact customer services. Many years ago I used to work for them and most of my time was spent tracking down low or OOS bridal outfits. They can access overseas shops and used to have a ‘mock shop’ where they rearranged shop layouts etc.

My friend had a seamstress suggest she sew her a bra into her low backed dress. Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Re underwear, I was a 34FF when I got married (but saggy and shapeless due to weight loss) and my dress had a back just a fraction too low for a normal bra. The dress shop recommended a £300 made to measure body suit thing, which I couldn’t justify, and I ordered a few low back options to try. Ended up going with this from TH & TH and was really pleased with it on the day. It even held everything up/in during our ceilidh.

This looks exactly the same as the dress the OP linked which is odd as this one is ASOS and hers is Monsoon. I wonder if the hire company have labelled it wrongly.

It’s very similar but the ASOS one looks lower cut at both the front and the back.

Quite surprised that they wouldn't look for one for you, let you pay over the phone and send it.
A clothes company (can't remember who) offered to do this for me recently. They only had sizes that weren't quite right, unfortunately, but I did appreciate the helpfulness.
