What jeans are we all wearing atm?

I'm not wearing any at the moment but I want to buy a pair. Preferably on Vinted as I'm poor and trying to be sustainable ( mostly poor).
I have a pair of straight legged jeans by Levis but they are baggy round the bum.
I have some flared jeans by Shein which are ok.
I got out of the habit if wearing jeans as they aren't always comfy round the waist but I like the fact they are timeless and go with everything.
I am a slim size 12.

I’m 5’9 size 16 but the 14 was good. These are really lovely.

Wide leg from ASOS

I've got some wide leg cargo jeans from M&S - I like them but I haven't quite figured out how to wear them to cover up my peri belly but not look like I'm trying to copy a sixth-form girl.

I got some wide leg jeans from M&S Per Una which I really like and they are actually pretty comfortable

Are skinnies still out? I do like wide leg but the hems do get wet in the rain sometimes.

If you like them and they suit you get some skinnies! I’ve stopped wearing them since having DC2 as they just aren’t comfortable or flattering on any more.
Straight and wide leg seem to be more fashionable at the moment but I think you have to wear what you like and feel good in! 😀

I still wear skinnies because, as a pp says, they don't get wet bottoms in the rain. I tend to get them in Next.

I'm wearing cropped wide leg high waist jeans from ASDA a lot right now. I have a faded black pair and a grey pair. Comfy, perfect with my boots and very reasonably priced.

Straight leg, on the basis that it's never in or out of fashion. I like Fat Face.

And/or Westlake Wide leg. They were not cheap but they're the comfiest jeans I've ever owned.

You might need a size smaller as they come up slightly big. I've bought a pair from Vinted.

I have yet to find anything that suits me like Levi Ribcage do. So this is what I am still wearing. I do have a super long body though so the high rise just sits right.

I see there is a wide leg version so I am hankering over those. But I absolutely cannot buy Levi's online as their sizings are just bonkers. I have ribcage in 3 different sizes that all fit. So I need to find time to go in and try on.

M&S wide leg cargo jeans in a dark indigo wash. You have to adjust what you wear on top to balance the proportions.

I get all my jeans in charity shops, so I have some weird and wonderful brands. Current faves are 'Amisu' slim/skinny high waist in a washed darkish blue. Think Amisu might be a foreign supermarket brand. I also got a pair of nice mid waist loose/boyfriend jeans which made me laugh out loud as the brand is Long Tall Sally.

They've been very tidily shortened. I'm 5 foot 3 🤣

I have straight leg, wide leg (but not dragging on floor long), and high waisted baggy tapered mom jeans. Also have wide leg cropped but wear those less now.

Afaik Amisu is a German brand aimed at teen/younger style fashion. I only know this as I have a preloved jacket from this brand, and I love it. And I'm 54 😂

I also hadn't heard of them before.

Straight—if I can find them. Skinny still seems to be wildly popular, and wide leg jeans that work for me are as scarce as hen's teeth.
Would welcome any recommendations for cheap straight jean brands! (Cheap because I live in a place whose currency is worth peanuts in £.)

All the unfamiliar brands I like in TK Maxx and the charity shop turn out to be German!

I'm going there in the summer (for the Euros 🤣) and I've blocked out a full day and an empty holdall for shopping in Dusseldorf. Can't bloody wait.

M&S Slim Flare today. Comfy but as above to need to choose the top carefully to flatter. The hoodie i have on really doesn't do that, but hey, it's Sunday and cold.

Jeans can be a minefield to buy secondhand, so my tip would be to go to a few shops, try on a load of styles and then look for your favourite ones on Vinted / eBay.

I like M&S Sienna - a basic straight leg style - but I wear them in a size up (plus a belt!) so they fall better on the leg. Wouldn’t have known this if I hadn’t tried on loads of styles and sizes in-store first. I then got them off Vinted for about £3.50 🤓

Either slim flares or a rolled up straight jean. I wear the flares with boots and the roll up with trainers.

Happily the shops seem to finally be moving away from only selling racks of skinny jeans that have dominated the jeans trend for too long (I'm a short parsnip who looks terrible in them!)
