@Experiment627 My stash is the same, the bathroom cupboard has burst at the seams and the bottom of my wardrobe is now also full of stuff too. I really need to go on a buying ban!

I’m using the Haruharu Wonder black rice 5.5 soft cleanser (think that’s what it’s called) at the moment, really really nice. Their black rice toner is also seriously good. I’m using the sunscreen from the same line as well but not as keen on that - it’s very moisturising and a bit much for my skin, but would probably be great if you have dry skin.

Fraaahnces · 30/07/2024 05:42

@CorneliaStreet Is it the new sunscreen in that range? I’ve heard good things..,

CorneliaStreet · 30/07/2024 06:06

@Fraaahnces The one I have is the Black Rice Moisure Airyfit Daily Sunscreen 50.

LilyJessie · 30/07/2024 10:41

@Experiment627 my stash has had babies is making me die laughing!!

Wondering (with all your amazing beauty knowledge), does anyone know a dupe of Elizabeth Arden Serums Advanced Ceramide Daily Youth Restoring Serum Capsules... They made my skin feel dreamy. But they will make my bank balance feel nightmarey.

CorneliaStreet · 30/07/2024 16:51

A few more empties:

Ren Evercalm gentle cleansing gel - 150ml. Liked this, it felt very gentle but got my skin nice and clean in the morning. My only complaint would be that the product is too runny for this kind of packaging so too much came out at once. Should be in a pump.

Inkey List hyaluronic serum - 30ml. Fine, can’t get excited about Inkey List serums, find them all a bit meh.

Avene Hydrance hydrating serum - 10ml. Liked this more than the Inkey List one. It felt very hydrating and soothing.

Laniege lip sleeping mask in mango - the best lip balm. Now moving onto a watermelon flavour one.

Dr Teal’s Shea butter & almond body scrub - 538g. This was really good, smelled lovely and had just the right amount of scrubbiness.

Floral Street Sweet Almond Blossom EDP - 10ml. I’m not a big fan of the Floral Street perfumes but this one was pretty nice (just as well, as I’ve got another of these minis to get through at some point).

@CorneliaStreet my DD2 gave me the watermelon lip mask… You will not be disappointed! I think it’s the best yet!

Fraaahnces · 03/08/2024 02:18

@LilyJessie - I love ceramides…. Do you need the skincare in capsules? Seems an expensive method. Plenty of ceramide serums out there. I have looked into the ingredients and the “feel” of the product is actually silicone. (Isododecone) The glow is the ceramides. I can recommend a range that is a more advanced take on the EL Advanced Night Repair Range
It’s by Missha, called Time Revolution. Below is a link to the Serum, but they also have a gift pack with the entire range. I have used the serum and enjoyed it. KBeauty doesn’t have the same “silicone” feel though.
There is some kind of rewards code. It said “my” code. I don’t know whose it is, but it’s absolutely not mine. I wish I got rewards, but I don’t.

If you want a serum with a super glow-boosting power, you could try this one. Also mega full of ceramides and probiotics like above, but also oil alternative. I wouldn’t use if you have oily skin, but my haggard face LOVES this. (Never had anything rise so fast to HG status) This gives me the glow I had hoped to achieve from Futuredew.

@Fraaahnces
Absolutely don't need it in the capsule! Just loved the way my skin reacted to the product!

This is fantastic 🤩 thank you!!

I shall be getting today!

You should definitely get your own discounts with your knowledge on beauty products!

Fraaahnces · 03/08/2024 09:29

That would be nice, but I haven’t purchased from YesStyle for years. Can buy elsewhere for less from Australia. (Also recommend checking out other sites like Stylevana, Jolsse, Style Korean & Olive Young Global.) Always shop around!

MotherWol · 03/08/2024 09:52

Has anyone got any Beauty Pie recommendations? I’m coming to the end of my trial membership, considering if there’s anything worth stocking up on before I cancel.

This month I’m travelling a lot and taking my routine back to cleanser and moisturiser in order to use up some products and keep things simple when life is busy. But still tempted by the lure of new things!

PomsRun · 03/08/2024 13:23

QMS power firm mask. Didn’t do anything.
Dr Teaks pink Himalayan salt scrub - fab. Love it.
Youth people Kale and green tea cleanser - was fine, it was in a glass jar which was annoying. The moisturiser was useless and left my skin feeling drier.
Living Proof dry shampoo. No better than cheaper versions.
LABrucket hand cream. Was just ok.
Votary brightening serum. Like it, sinks in well and skin feels soft.

A few empties from me

Neutrogena hydro boost facial wash - not sure why I bought this really and I didn’t really like it as a facial wash so it was mostly used up as a hand wash.

Paula’s Choice spf 50 moisturiser - this came in the Cult Beauty Sun edit a few months ago. It stings my eyes if I use on my face - even if I don’t use near my eyes they seem to migrate. So I used it in my neck and chest. I have quite a few I’m having to do that with.

Korres shower gel. I found it quite drying.

Espa scalp scrub thing. Went to a nice hotel and spa in Ireland for my birthday and was given this as a birthday gift. Was rubbish. Used once and binned. Comes out really slowly and you have to really squeeze to get anything out. Then it doesn’t seem to do much. Junked it. Life is too short!

Peridot1 · 04/08/2024 10:24

@MotherWol - I cancelled my Beauty Pie membership and the only thing I stocked up on is the Japanfusion cleanser. Really like that.

@Experiment627 My stash also seems to have had babies. And I think they breed like rabbits! Really need to get through it all and not add to it.

I have enough in my Liberty Beauty Drop account for the Advent calendar this year but am really not sure I should get it as I have so much stuff and I know there is stuff in it I won’t use. I’m going to be in Liberty in the next couple of weeks so if I’m really tempted to buy anything I’ll use my BD credit and skip the advent calendar.

Fraaahnces · 04/08/2024 10:42

Reporting on the L’Oreal Wonder Water Hyaluronic version. (Purple one). If your hair is dry and damaged and very prone to be weighed down, this stuff is bloody awesome. I will RP.

Peridot1 · 04/08/2024 10:58

Yes I agree @Fraaahnces. I used it last year when my hair was very fried after too much hot brush use. Definitely helped and I too have very fine hair and like that it doesn’t weigh it down.

Buster27 · 04/08/2024 13:10

@MotherWol repeat buys for me are the Japanfusion range, concealer, translucent one powder wonder and pure ceramides eye serum. I've also recently discovered the apricot cleansing butter and intensive lip balm which I love and will buy again.

@Fraaahnces ooh that sounds right up my street. I like their hyaluronic shampoo and conditioner but haven't tried the wonder water yet, I think I'll try.

Experiment627 · 04/08/2024 18:12

I have an empty to report:

  • B by Superdrug micellar water: great that it was a big bottle, not so great that it stings the eyes.

@PomsRun I have bought the Arkive dry shampoo, which Mary off TikTok keeps on recommending as being the best EVER. Boots stock it in the UK - although are often out of stock. I have used twice so far & it is by far the best dry shampoo I have ever used. I have not tried the Living Proof one or the Ouai one or the Oribe one.

@CorneliaStreet and @Peridot1 definitely rabbit chukka chukka situation going on with my stash BUT I think I will mostly use it up and in a few weeks will see if there is anything that I really will not use and then will either donate to a friend or women's shelter. I have a lot of unfinished haircare at the minute but have two holidays coming up where it will come in handy.

Am also taking a load of sachets with me on a 2 day work trip starting tomorrow.

Temple Spa soap - nice, didn't leave my hands dried out, pleasant scent. One of many many soaps to use up!

REN body cream - reasonably easily absorbed, bright fresh scent. This was a generous hotel freebie, so many other body lotions to use up before I even think about buying anything.

Votary serum - it's a lovely serum, left my skin plump. Again, I have a lot of serums to get through so no buy on this product type.

Numbuzin No1 Clear Filter Sun Essence. Not my first and won’t be my last. Not RP at the moment as I have a BOJ Ginseng Sun Essence to go with. I love that these feel amazing and sit so well under makeup if I’m wearing it. My two faves atm.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 05/08/2024 09:32

Sure antiperspirant 72 hours. I love it, my armpits don’t stink with this. However it leaves a thick residue and it’s very difficult to completely finish it. This is the 3rd I finished.

a random hand wash from Mercadona, cotton flower. Did the job, smells pleasant and it’s cheap.

Nivea 50 rollon sunscreen for kids. Smelt amazing, like lilacs. I would just buy the fragrance, honestly. Application is easy and my DC can manage herself as it is like a deodorant rollon. Runs out very quickly as it’s only 50ml. Plenty others to use up.

Maui Flexible Hold Coconut Milk Mousse:- I tried so hard with this. The worst product I have ever used for my hair. I had to bin it. I am failing to think of a pro. It made my hair both greasy and bulletproof.
