I want to smell like the ocean - perfume ideas

Hi! I loved Body Shop Oceanus - I can't find anything similar or that smells like the ocean at all - every summery thing I have tried smells of coconut!

I don't want to smell like men's aftershave. Just the ocean.

Maybe Rituals Ocean Infini? It’s a light (non-coconutty!) aquatic.

It’s been so long since I smelled Oceanus, I can’t remember if it’s similar, though.

As soon as I read the title, my mind went straight to Oceanus! I'd love to smell that again.

I had a small bottle of M&S Seasalt & Neroli that was nice. Not the same fragrance as Oceanus, but had that sea smell and was feminine.

Watching this for ideas. In the 90s I had a bottle of body spray- think it was M&S or bath and body works- just called Pisces and it was very similar to Oceanus. I miss those sorts of fragrances!

I have no advice other than to get a dog and move to the seaside then you’ll always smell faintly beach (but not the smell you’re going for!). Now I want to smell like the ocean though!

Seconding Jo Malone Wood sage and sea salt. It smells like being on a lovely beach with sand dunes on a spring or early autumn day.

For more sunscreen / cocktails type smells, Bronze Goddess by Estée Lauder works.

So it seems I need something oceany possibly with musk or wood. Thanks so much for all your suggestions I will check as many as I can out!

Since we did a bit of a beach clean on holiday in Dorset my van has smelt like ocean, on account of the plastic bucket of bits of polypropylene rope under DS2's seat. Although I'm not sure that "Jesus, is there something dead in here?" is quite the scent profile you're going for...🤔

Anyone remember Isis from M&S, that was very aquatic. There was another one from the same era but I can't remember the name.
