Mary Jane shoes ...anyone else think they look awful?

Just that. I think they look like children's shoes and everyone seems to be wearing them in magazines because they are wearing "what's in fashion" ...infantalising.

OMG I love a T-bar even more!! Although for me T-bars have to be mid-height heels.

I love Mary Jane’s too and am delighted that they’re back in (as it makes them easier to find) but I’ve been wearing them on and off for the last 20+ years regardless. I started with Repetto ones and I got addicted to the comfort of dance shoes that look glamorous but are actually really comfy. I miss living in France where I could buy Repettos but they’re hard to find in the UK these days and prices have gone through the roof (and then some!)

They are impractical and put girls off exercise as their feet hurt / get wet when they run. But if you’re a grown up and like them then wear them

My DD’s both had proper school shoes their whole lives and at 18 and 21 both do competitive sport at a high level. When they aren’t wearing spikes now, they wear DMs.

I love chunky Mary Jane’s! 😂 Been wearing them for years.
