The Jo Loves 12 day calendar on the other hand... Just me or is it ridiculously overpriced? The full calendar is £135 more and you get 13 more products plus a voucher for 100ml fragrance.

My ms ones for dd and me came today ! Haven't opened them tho ! Saving for December!

I'm actually happy with the M&S case, I'll put toiletries in it for travelling. It's useful to have a large one that can fit all the shampoo, suncream etc.

I agree I wouldn't display it anywhere but it will be handy.

I do have two older Liberty ones I've kept and will reuse those for kids advent calendars.

I do like the idea of a cake tin because I don't have one off those.

I ordered a couple of Color Wow products I use from Space NK and qualified for the hair GWP - I also had a £5 credit so bit of a result.

Thought I would be tempted by the new OK box but just seen the full reveal and it’s a bit disappointing for me - determined this year not to cave in to anything unless there are at least a couple of things I actually will use.

@Yajebbend I was very, very tempted but haven't ordered yet. The AC included is last year's Jurlique which is a brand I haven't used and am not particularly curious about - but great as an introduction as it looks like small samples of a lot of their products for someone who'd like to try the range.
My temptation lies in the fact that I often buy their mystery bags (sometimes 2,not just 1!) and I've never been disappointed, always great value. Their customer service is also faultless.
So I think it would be a great selection of products. Do I want to spend that much on a complete surprise? I still don't know the answer. It's on my 'maybe' list.

When is this Black Friday everyone's talking about? Is it just 1 day or does it tend to be extended for a whole week?

@Branster - it’s traditionally the day after Thanksgiving in the US which is last Thursday in November. But it seems to have expanded and take over weeks now!

@Branster I'm amazed and impressed you've avoided Black Friday this long! It's an American thing, kinda like the January sales for us. Just googled it cos I thought BF was always November and apparently it's the 24th November this year - Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November in the US

I am quite surprised myself!!
I was only aware of it from getting promo emails from Amazon in the past but but as I was never looking for something specific at the time, I found it all too overwhelming and I always forget by the next year when it's supposed to be.
It all makes sense now because I got my ACs in November last year - they must have been on sale because of Thanksgiving offers!

Wow that is brilliant @Pinenu . I got it for £105 and thought that was a good result. I am using mine for stocking fillers/ presents (and a bit for me!) It’s not exciting but it is a good staple calendar with lots of good sizes and useful stuff in it. At that price you can’t go wrong

I was going to open my Clarins AC in Nov, but I've just had my boots box and other bits so I'm saving it for Jadvent. I was going to gift some of the Clarins at Christmas but I got quite a few extra bits with it that I'll give instead.
