My space NK free gift arrived today, but the advent calendar hasn’t left the building yet. I really hope it isn’t a case of them selling more than they had. The products are quite small sizes, and I can see how that would be annoying, but they are great for travel and there are some interesting ones that I’m keen to try in there so I’m happy. A little disappointed in the sleep mask, none of the flaps that you pull down to stop the under eye glare, but the rest of it is good.

I just met the Evri driver as I came home with my M&S advent calendar. He said that the barcode wouldn't scan and he wouldn't get paid if he left it without it scanning 😧. He's a real sweetie and I couldn't see him out of pocket so he took it away again and said that he hoped he would be able to bring it back again on Monday.

I've been following this thread for a while & have finally decided to get my tween a beauty advent calendar as I've got her sister a Lego one. I've been looking at this on Sephora which looks nice. I can't afford to spend mega bucks unfortunately & she's only 12. Has anybody any thoughts on this? Also any ideas on how to get a discount code?

@hby9628 I think that Sephora one does look good for a 12 yr old who's starting to get into beauty stuff.

I’ve just splurged on Harvey Nicks AC! I was planning to get M&S and be sensible but then had a rubbish day at work and before I knew it, here we are 😁. Loads of brands I’ve never tried before and a good whack of full-size products. Instantly felt guilty so then bought Lego ACs for the kids and a whiskey AC for DH so I don’t feel quite so selfishly indulgent. Can’t wait!

Good plan. Purely as a public service to help the economy...

I am so tempted by the Vogue calendar! Great choice @HollyGolightly4! Just wish they’d do a discount / GWP and that would probably convince me.

I think the Cult Beauty GWP looks decent in terms of products I’d get use out of, but went back and looked at the calendar and remembered how many DoDs I’d have, so still a no from me.

This is going back a few pages but I got the Sephora Indulgence box and it arrived today. It’s pretty ace. Probably one too many haircare and a fun eyeshadow or lipstick would have been great but am very pleased! Thanks for the recommendations all.

I’ve been following today’s action and it’s vicarious dopamine hit. No more for me as Sephora and the liberty September GWP hits my advent spend. But I am terribly looking forward to the opening threads!

@Lilothblos I'd been holding on 🤣 but a pp said upthread (possibly even on the first one) how would you feel if it sold out and your nemesis got the last one. I decided it was a must!

Plus, there is a secret vogue collectible in there- although it will probably be a badge or something! Also, I suddenly remembered that I had £70 in my PayPal account from selling dresses in the summer- I treated that as my discount. Definitely justified 😬😁
