So I bought another AC 😳🤣 Well, another Molton Brown one for myself as the one I bought last night is for a relatives gift (for a Big Birthday hence the Big gift!).

I do love MB and I will def use all the stuff in it so figured that's the best value one for me, plus I also have the M&S for my skincare fix! I then remembered I had Amex points collected through the year which I redeemed, so between them and the 25% Molton Brown discount it ended up only costing me £22!!! 🤩

pinkchampagne1 · 27/10/2023 20:13

Ooh, my OK advent has been dispatched 😃

SoSad44 · 27/10/2023 20:17

I got the Elemis one and I am so excited. Can’t wait.

now I am so tempted by the M&S one too. 😬 shall I get one too? Or am I too greedy? 😬

DD wants the smiggles one, but think her grandma already got her the Polly Pocket one.

SoSad44 · 27/10/2023 20:21

Also last year I got the Cowshed in the sale and it was so worth it, hopefully this years will come on sale again in January https://www.cowshed.com/products/24-day-advent-calendar-2021

Thanks @clary but by the time I saw your message (I was driving) it was already gone. Not to worry, I really don’t even need it. Thanks anyway

Same, although I was eating dinner. Thanks for the heads up though @clary

Nearlyadoctor · 27/10/2023 21:29

@Lurkingshark - glad to hear the Sephora indulgence box is good. I’ve just ordered mine as really want to try the Medik8 , and I know it’s a bit marmite but also the AB cream. I’d already bought the Jo Malone advent as none of the beauty ones appealed this year, so all bases now covered 😊

Puravida23 · 27/10/2023 21:57

Just bought the Flannels fragrance crackers as an alternative to the M&S advent The £7 postage means my DS is also a winner as I bought the mens one as well to justify the excessive postage
I still think it’s pretty good value for 7 high end fragrances for £50 even with the excessive postage (I have no idea if I will like any of them but that is almost half the fun) and it will make up slightly for missing out on the Harrods Fragrance Calendar due to general indecisiveness and not wanting to commit so early which I regret now

Notasockbandit · 27/10/2023 22:18

In two minds driving myself mad over the vogue. I love the look of it but it is an eye watering price

GentlemanJack · 27/10/2023 22:23

I like the Vogue one. I'm so tempted. I like it just as much as I like other ones. It's the box that spoils it a bit - it's so beautiful but the doors mean it can't be displayed to show the pretty boxes.

Notasockbandit · 27/10/2023 22:31

I've just got serious fomo from it being mentioned today. I do appreciate it's a nice problem to to have. I was waiting to see if the harrods one gets discounted but the vogue is just in a league of it's own

HollyGolightly4 · 27/10/2023 22:37

Sorry @Notasockbandit might have been me! I just figured I would keep buying bits and pieces for the next two months and wouldn't be happy with them really. The only other thing I really need is a nice eyeshadow and I have boots points I can use for that!

Notasockbandit · 27/10/2023 22:48

Yes @HollyGolightly4 it was you and you mentioned how you would easily buy a few calendars totaling the same price, which makes complete sense. I should just get it but instead I'm torturing myself

HollyGolightly4 · 27/10/2023 22:54

If it's any consolation @Notasockbandit I've been torturing myself since the calendars were announced, but after a fairly rubbish week and making a few promises to myself, I just decided to go for it.

Notasockbandit · 27/10/2023 23:00

@HollyGolightly4 I'm sorry you've had a tough week, I hope the calendar arrives soon and makes up for it. You've made a great choice, enjoy. I'm probably going to torture myself a little longer 🙃

PomRuns · 27/10/2023 23:00

vogue looks wonderful - enjoy. It’s very tempting.

HollyGolightly4 · 27/10/2023 23:02

Thank you 😊

Lurkingshark · 28/10/2023 08:02

@Nearlyadoctor The medik8 is my personal favourite vitamin c and I would definitely buy a Medik8 advent calendar if such a thing existed. I’m neutral on the AB cream but it is going to a friend who likes it.

But the Jo malone one! That and diptyque are probably my HG now so please join the odds and end opening threads so I can share the joy. Actually the Jo Loves candle in Sephora box is lovely.

FredaFox · 28/10/2023 08:07

I've just had a lovely thought, as I currently have 3 calendars I'm going to start asos in November
I've never had 3, usually dec and Jan, after a tough few weeks I'm having nov-ent 😂

Not to say I won't buy a 4th once the discounts start! It's been a tough year so I'm treating myself

Nearlyadoctor · 28/10/2023 08:11

@Lurkingshark - I didn’t realise there was an odds and end opening thread so will definitely join for December. I went for JM as none of the others ticked all the boxes this year.
Someone at work recommended the Medik8 so asked on here and was advised it was in the Sephora box, which seems better value than a lot of this year’s calendars. I know JM isn’t massively good value but do know I’ll use everything.

Peridot1 · 28/10/2023 08:18

Lots of lovely buying going on. Loving all the justifications! And buying calendars for family to alleviate guilt! Great thinking.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 28/10/2023 08:34

Does anyone here subscribe to the bridal Beauty newsletter?

They are currently offering a charity mystery box worth £900 plus a £200 AC plus a Cochine diffuser worth £60. All for £150. I love Cochine, but you've no idea what the rest of the stuff is. I think it would be good if they at least listed the contents of the AC.

Was wondering if any of you guys recognised the AC that's being given away?

RainbowZebraWarrior · 28/10/2023 08:35

Dee1224 · 28/10/2023 08:39

Debenhams from before they went bust @RainbowZebraWarrior?

If so, it was the first one I bought, I think and pretty good. Be from December 2019 in that case, I think.

FinallyFinalGirl · 28/10/2023 08:42

Yes that's the Debenhams one - I had it and really enjoyed it. I remember having a few that year and this one was quite fun. It was around three years ago mind you so some of the stuff might be close to the use by date.

FinallyFinalGirl · 28/10/2023 08:43

Oh - four years ago?? Where does the time go?
