Some thing shave just popped back up in my wishlist that had vanished. Mini restock maybe?

NotAMinimalist1 · 16/07/2023 13:41

Definite restock!

Dee1224 · 16/07/2023 13:42

Ooh! Thanks @NotAMinimalist1

OftenOrange · 16/07/2023 13:54

@dudsville I’ve ecru Annie jeans and cream Cos jeans; I think a bit of surface dirt is like a patina ie improves the look and stops them looking too pristine shop new.
Don’t return them, they are so different to indigo that you can find those later.
My Jessa pair are the most worn item ever, sadly they show no signs of wear or else I’d be trying barrel leg version.
How do they differ fit wise?

dudsville · 16/07/2023 14:14

Oh, I think I've confused matters. So I love the ecru pair, won't be dying them, will be keeping, even if they get marked they'll remain ecru. It's that I like the fit so much that I want a second pair in indigo!

@OftenOrange, I tried the Jessa, and while they were comfortable, they weren't flattering. I have a big bottom and hips. So these don't look quite as barrel legged on me as they would on a more streamlined person! ALso I think the hem line is deeper on the barrel legged to the Jessa.

If Toast do reproduce the indigo barrel leg version I will purchase at full price.

PretLea · 16/07/2023 14:44

They did an indigo one @dudsville I purchased one to try in this last winter sale. I really liked it, but thought the bib part at the top was a bit too narrow.

faustina · 16/07/2023 15:42

Who recommended the GoodNews trainers from John Lewis? I think it might have been @neveradullmoment99 ? Anyway, a big thank you. I picked them up today and they're really nice! Some reviews on Toast said to size up but my regular size was perfect. A really lovely ecru colour, and a more padded sole than the novestas

Zeusrules · 16/07/2023 15:44

@faustina that is great to hear. Mine are waiting for me at Waitrose but I can't get them until tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Stoic123 · 16/07/2023 16:04

@faustina - picked mine up this afternoon. I like them. They are comfortable and make my size 7 feet look quite neat. Great JL price.

Stoic123 · 16/07/2023 16:06

Think it was @AFingerofFudge who linked the JL ones. Thank you!

faustina · 16/07/2023 16:06

@Stoic123 - yes they make my feet look smaller too! In fact when I took them out of the box I wondered if they'd fit, but they're a generous 6

wondering if the 7 is a 40 or a 41? I wish retailers would put both, the number of times I send 40s back.

Stoic123 · 16/07/2023 16:47

@ilovecherries - it's a 40. I'm probably closer to a 6.5 in UK sizes but seem to have been bumped up to a 7 on most things.

ilovecherries · 16/07/2023 16:50

Thanks Stoic. Def won’t work for me then. Birkies are the only things I can wear a 40 in.

faustina · 16/07/2023 16:54

In other news, I tried the beautiful blue shirt again today and it's going back. there is something about it that makes it an awkward fit - or rather me. It is definitely the right size, but it highlights my 30fs in a not very nice way. I'm really sad - but I guess I can use that money for something else

Snowyowl78 · 16/07/2023 18:18

@Dee1224 thanks for the advice!

loving your pond dress!

Dee1224 · 16/07/2023 18:24

Thanks @Snowyowl78 ! Hope your bag is ok 🤞

Looks absolutely fab on you!

faustina · 16/07/2023 19:51

the cotton linen slubby shirt in the nicest blue ever @Laska2Meryls

Dee1224 · 16/07/2023 19:55

Thanks @neveradullmoment99 !

AFingerofFudge · 17/07/2023 06:45

Has anyone tried the Lavenham gilet? (She says, still looking at the sale) I feel like someone mentioned it recently?

Laska2Meryls · 17/07/2023 08:00

I have that @faustina .. bought it full price ! Just love it ... I am full busted also but I think that the shape works on me. But do have wide shoulders which may make a difference .. Shame its not for you.. it is a beautiful shade of blue..

I am getting so confused about the Pond dress. First I had an XL, which seemed way too loose on top. Got an L then, which is tight...
I guess I will keep the XL, even if it looks really big on me. It is one of the few sun dresses that does not show a lot of bra in the sides

dudsville · 17/07/2023 12:06

hm, do the tags sewn into the two dresses agree that they're XL and L @BettinaInDenmark ?
