It's hard enough to keep up on one thread, let alone the carry over - thanks to the toasty who explained wht the two shorts were different sizes!

dudsville · 15/07/2023 15:22

I want to fade my black boatneck, not massively, just don't want the harsh crips black, and I'm scared of using diluted bleach. Has anyone done it by adding soda crystals and salt to the wash cycle?

Noeggsontoast · 15/07/2023 15:30

@Laska2Meryls thanks for the new thread. The threads have been so fast moving these past few weeks!

Dee1224 · 15/07/2023 15:33

@ilovecherries I am glad you are having a good time! I can’t go abroad atm for various reasons, so nice hear of other people’s hols!

Saurus72 · 15/07/2023 15:44

I’m also eBaying my heart out - I uploaded some things last night then again just now and have already made 2 sales, v pleased. I’m motivated by being able to actually see the things I love/want to wear and not having to wade through hangers of stuff I haven’t worn for years. Also motivated by raising funds to buy a few more lovely jumpers.

MiracleToast · 15/07/2023 15:44

@dudsville not often, I do a hygiene trim and a tidy up after heavy rain if she hasn’t managed to do so herself. She’s not a fan (obviously) but is always affectionate afterwards and this huge as I’ve earned her trust. Dhuggie is in the wash now!

Brings back the lockdown trauma of the dog’s sodding anal glands! That was a good day.

MiracleToast · 15/07/2023 15:55

@ilovecherries 🙈

Thanks for the new thread, @Laska2Meryls
Cannot believe it's another new one! Feel as if we just started the last!

mizu · 15/07/2023 16:48

New thread already!! Love that dress @ilovecherries.

I've been out today in the on / off rain with my Tretorns and a garment dyed linen easy dress in black coffee and a raincoat.

That Lydia V neck dress is popular. Hope they will do more similar ones.

faustina · 15/07/2023 17:03

@MiracleToast please please review your dhuggie on Toast and tell them it's perfect for cat-shaving. Maybe they will give you something for most entertaining review

So funny to see they've ironed the crumples out. But what if we want them IN? I thought you couldn't re-do them? Maybe they have crinkly ones under the counter

faustina · 15/07/2023 17:04

@dudsville I'd be very careful about bleach or anything like that on black. I have a black tshirt which I save now for when I get my highlights done, because a bit of bleach went on it and the marks are a sort of reddish brown

Best way @dudsville is to wash it in a hot water as you can ( probably no more than 40 with that tee though if you dont want shrinkage) and line dry in the bright sun ...when dry do it straight again and then again if not faded enough...
I successfully faded my Toast Anhoki shirt that way .. you need bright sun . It took about three washes but I went up to 60deg as the fabric was cotton..

@faustina i think I may have already done that review but if not absolutely! I think it’s time I won anyway, they’ve been receiving toast adoring poems for far too long now!

Dee1224 · 15/07/2023 17:33

My order had arrived.

@faustina - the navy boatneck in medium is going straight back - lovely material but too big and shapeless 🙃

The lilac linen dress in large is - far too large! OH said: Lovely colour but it looks like a tent and hangs off you🙃 I am still thinking about it, but I think he’s right and the medium is sold out.

I wish I had ordered it and the copper in medium when they were available - maybe they’ll reappear next sale 🤣

Stoic123 · 15/07/2023 17:42

@faustina - my thoughts too.

The crinkly stuff is growing on me (though I'd need deeper colours). I think the dress would be useful for travelling. Like the idea of shoving a big knot into a small backpack with some Mayari Birkies (possibly trying to relive my youth - there was some cheesecloth involved at some point).

@ilovecherries - oh no!! What a nightmare for you.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/07/2023 20:01

Awful @ilovecherries
What can you do about it? Or is that it?

neveradullmoment99 · 15/07/2023 20:01

Is there compensation?
