@ToastCosILoveIt , can you say sobering more about the releae of wasps????

@ilovecherries , you look great, that outfit really suits you. Was that shirt in the sale? I think i may have wrongly discounted it!

Nice coordination there @Countmeout !

Much as i would like to try to wear a different thing every day I'm back in the landscape today!

Dudsville, I bought these, apparently they get to the root of the problem. I bought 6 sachets. www.pestfreegardening.co.uk/products/clothes-food-moth-control-with-trichogramma

Noodle421 · 25/07/2023 13:30

@ToastCosILoveIt thanks for providing the link Toast, very helpful. I’m going to order a pack.

They are wasps in your wardrobe? Did I read that right?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 25/07/2023 13:44

After chasing toast cs yet again they have said they are unable to fulfil my scarf order and I should return the incorrect one they sent me for a refund. They have also given me a 15% discount on my next full price order

But, I have no idea how to use the discount as it’s currently taking me at least 2 goes at getting the right size and fit with the updated sizing issues. So if I return an order where I used the discount I assume I will then lose it.

The only way I can see round this is to order something in multiple sizes, find which actually fits then send everything back and reorder the correct size using the discount code.

There has to be a simpler way.

No, Trichogramma are very small parasitic wasps, hard to spot with the naked eye, being only 0.4mm in size. They will seek out Clothes Moth eggs and lay their own eggs inside them, parasitising the moth eggs. They are harmless to humans and animals and remain only for as long as there are Clothes Moth eggs present. Once the eggs are gone, the wasps naturally die and appear like dust in your wardrobe (ie invisible to the naked eye). Each sachet covers around 25sp metres. I hope that makes sense?! My wasp sachets are coming tomorrow hopefully as they will get to the root of the issue (the eggs). I have ordered six to cover bedrooms, my blanket basket, coat rail and utility room (where there are wooden goods).

Noodle421 · 25/07/2023 13:54

@ToastCosILoveIt I meant to say I’m sorry to hear some of your knitwear has been affected. I hope it’s repairable. Is it damage from this season ?

ScottishMouse · 25/07/2023 13:58

The postie just delivered a lovely eBay purchase. A pair of cotton cashmere gingham culottes that I missed out on a few years ago. If it was any of you that I bought them from, thank you!
So, one-in-one-out, I have listed on eBay and Facebook a very similar linen pair that I bought in consolation at having missed the cotton cashmere ones but have only worn once because the colour wasn’t quite right. Mine are in better nick, so if I can get for them roughly what I paid for my new ones then that doesn’t count as shopping at all! Right?!!!

I have this dilemma. My code has now expired but they said to me to get in touch with them so that they can issue a new one.

Thanks for that. It makes complete sense. I may order some myself!

Thanks Noodle, a few things have been affected over the last few months including a woollen burgundy long toast cardigan which I bought off of EBay and loved. Worse though was a wonderful Jean Muir long cardigan which I often wore as a dress/top over jeans with a broad keeping it done up. The moths have eaten the entire bloody shoulder of it. It was hanging in my utility room which I thought was a moth free zone. I have declared war now and am going all out with washing, freezing, cleaning and various moth repellants/tacklers.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 25/07/2023 14:31

@neveradullmoment99 do the codes have an expiry date then? That wasn’t mentioned.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/07/2023 14:33

I tumbled dried a lot too @ToastCosILoveIt when I had my moth infestation. Only stuff that could be. I doubt they can survive the hot temperature of the tumble dryer and also ironing.

Well mine has. I tried it and it has expired and I haven't obviously used it.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 25/07/2023 14:58

That’s a bit naughty of them, didn’t you get yours recently in the sale?

That’s so sad about the Jean Muir dress. Clothes doctor can send items to a repair service if you think there’s any life in it at all. Have you thought about sending the toast knit for toast repairs. My friend sent her long navy Donegal cardigan for repair of numerous moth holes and it came back fixed with dots of brilliant cobalt blue stitching - it looked amazing. Even more beautiful than before.

Snowyowl78 · 25/07/2023 15:18

@Theteapotsbrokenspout i think I had this problem and I think Toast were willing to honour the discount on a different size if it didn’t fit? I would check with them first though. I saved it up and put in a big order but I’m willing I added stuff like socks to it now!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 25/07/2023 15:44

@Snowyowl78 i don’t think my cc will stand another big order atm 😆. I was thinking of waiting for the next drop but I was surprised to see never said hers expired.

Snowyowl78 · 25/07/2023 15:50

@Theteapotsbrokenspout yeah they put an expiry date on mine too

Laska2Meryls · 25/07/2023 16:30

I have been top mushroom Toast today and have worn my very oldest Toast trousers gardening! My mid-blue Japanese wide leg linen trousers which must be five or six years old ( but still actually still look great after many wears and washes) .. and an Emma tee ( the one I wore last evening, just for a few hours.. so I think that I got away with it.) . Not really 'get muddy' gardening though - just sorting out the greenhouse.. And I have just picked our first tomatoes!! A while bowlful and loads more to come ... So early in the season too ...
It is possible that I may have ordered those parchment canvas linen trousers after all ( yes the expensive ones- along with another navy blue Emma , which I 'need' ). Its just FOMO, do not fret...
. But after all thats been said here, sheep-like , I find that I need to scratch the itch by trying them ' just to see' .... Of course, I do not intend to keep them !! No, not me , I am ' just looking ' just to see what the fuss is all about, OK ? ..'... Famous Last Words

Yes. A few weeks back but I had ordered far too much in the sale so was waiting. In all fairness they did say if it expired before I used it that they would give me another one. Lets hope they do that! I will be annoyed otherwise.

Oooh exciting to see them @Laska2Meryls
They were very nearly out of stock. Maybe they are OOS now. I would love to try them but really spent far too much in the sale so will see how you get on with them.

I find it hard to keep up with this fast moving thread but enjoying everyone's thoughtful outfits and helpful interpretations of Toast's marketing imagery.😁

Oldest Toast thing I still have is this wool blend jacquard shift. Can't remember how old, but it's been hanging up in the guest bedroom for a few years while I wait for this silhouette to feel right again. Anyone else own or remember this?

The awkward weather is revealing all sorts of clothing gaps I'm tempted to fill. Thankfully I'm immune to the parchment canvas trousers that are so expensive popular as the pleats looked awful on my figure, but I am very tempted by the twill culottes in that powdery pink shade, which surprisingly go with near everything in my very un-pink wardrobe and give good technically-July-but-actually-bloody-cold vibes. Would need to take the waist in a bit (should be doable) but otherwise the cut is great and the fabric both weighty and soft. Not sure if this is the thin end of the Barbiecore wedge, though.

Ah, Downiform, I had that dress back in the day but sent it to a charity shop. Might regret that decision!

Laska2Meryls · 25/07/2023 17:18

Oh, I am only 'looking' @neveradullmoment99 !!🤣
I like that tunic @clowniform and us the thought of us posting our most ancient Toast Purchases . Here is my oldest Toast thing - a jersey 'denim' mini skirt .. Absolute Eons old ( and still sometimes worn on the beach ! ).. I think that I bought it for the grand price of £10 in a sale.. . I also bought an Icelandic wool Cardigan in the same sale ( again , for about £30) which was so heavy that I only wore it a couple of times and eventually ebayed it a couple of years ago ( for a heck of a lot more than I paid for it !) ..

Thanks@ToastCosILoveIt for the interesting education re these wasps!

@Theteapotsbrokenspout , so long as you only order multiple sizes of the same item then the 15% still works even though you return the other sizes.
