Wow! That’s brilliant. Maybe there’s hope for me too, as an oldie? I could forget about living vicariously through my children and actually fulfil a dream on my own. 😅

Follow your dreams, I’d say. He had a long-held ambition to explore his hobby and it paid off. Go for it.

Saurus72 · 24/07/2023 14:04

I think your message is for me @Snowyowl78 😊. Well for the tea towels we took them to our local framers who did all the hard work. Got the bandana I’m planning on doing it myself with one of these frames - once I’ve done it will report back! https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-square-poster-frame-mount-16-x-16-inch-40-x-40cm/black/p5570805

Snowyowl78 · 24/07/2023 14:08

Ah sorry @Saurus72 @faustina

i found like a wooden hanging frame on etsy for fabric I may try that or just a normal frame like yours, be sure to post a pic of the results!

MiracleToast · 24/07/2023 14:15

@Stoic123 i truly think those wrap scarfs are the best. I am longing for them to bring one out in a creamy hazel neutral colour. I have the navy—is the Celtic blue a brighter blue?

PretLea · 24/07/2023 14:32

@MiracleToast @faustina what colour mules did you get - black or olive? I think I’d like a pair too, but not convinced by the olive colour…

faustina · 24/07/2023 14:34

@Saurus72 - that is a brilliant idea about framing - I think I've seen people on insta do it with wrapping paper too. Love Timorous Beasties (but so expensive!)
@MiracleToast - The Fracaps are really nice I think. Very cushioned and the sole is also flexible (was worried it might be rigid like some flat shoes are) . They are perfectly true to size. I'm not sure why so many reviews said not. Almost sure I'll keep them. Apologies for bad pic:

faustina · 24/07/2023 14:40

@PretLea - Olive! I'll try to take a better pic of the colour too. I wasn't sure either but it's a nice shade. I tried the black in a shop the other day and they were also lovely

@PretLea I got the olive, same colour as the hiker boots so I knew I’d like them. Really they’re brown.

Im wearing barefoot but they are roomy enough for thick socks which I think will be ideal come autumn.

Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2023 14:51

oh my those Cotton Linen Canvas Wide Leg Trousers are lovely but the price! 😮 How can they justify that? ill have to wait for the next sale with crossed fingers ..
I have just paid my credit card bill.... Oh dear ....

My sale swan song parcel arrived today; the lotus gown in black and gold (it’s a keeper but I don’t - yet - love it as much as the windflower gown, mainly because the fabric doesn’t feel as luxurious? Anyway, I’m really happy to have sized up to size L in both gowns rather than my customary medium as I appreciate the extra few centimetres in the length (the shortness was my only ever criticism of Toast gowns, of which I have a fair few) and I like the comfort and security of having more wrapping fabric around the middle, especially to wear over PJs.

I’m thrilled with the Kindred Moira Frith print which is beautifully packaged and is printed on very good quality paper; did anyone else get one?

I came on here to ask about the print! Could I ask what yours looks like, please? Thanks!

PretLea · 24/07/2023 14:53

Thanks for the pic @faustina and @MiracleToast They do seem rather brown, but a really lovely versatile shade.

MiracleToast · 24/07/2023 14:55

@PretLea i like them because I slip off my Birkenstocks and slide on these and it’s just like wearing slippers but smart enough for every occasion!

faustina · 24/07/2023 14:58

I would love them in tan, and you can buy tan elsewhere, but only in men's sizes (from 7 I think).

faustina · 24/07/2023 14:59

forgot to mention! The only downside of the tan coloured ones is they have a white sole, which for me (living in the country) would mean they'd look awful very quickly

SmaugMum · 24/07/2023 15:12

The above was for @alittledill

Noeggsontoast · 24/07/2023 15:18

@alittledill yes I received a print - this one. It's going in my office.

@faustina are those mules very very soft? I ask because I wondered if they might crease a lot mid-foot.

Toasties: Looking great for High summer and holidays
faustina · 24/07/2023 15:31

@Noeggsontoast they are soft, and they crease when I walk, but no more so than my Boston Birkenstocks

Thank you both, that is lovely!

Oh this is embarrassing.. after I typed that I thought, ' hang on, haven't I seen some similar?' And yup , back of wardrobe.... some Toast cream linen panelled leg trousers with drawstring waist .. Unworn.. still with labels... The really embarrassing thing is that I cannot remember when I bought them ! Must have been in a sale .... But when ? Blush
Any one have them and remember?

Noeggsontoast · 24/07/2023 15:54

@faustina thank you. That's why I asked because of my current birkies. I might ass them to my list - they look lovely and look comfy too.

Noeggsontoast · 24/07/2023 15:55

🙄 that should say "add"!!!!

faustina · 24/07/2023 16:04

@Noeggsontoast - I think they're more comfortable than my Bostons which I find a bit rigid underfoot, mind you they don't have soft footbeds, just regular hard ones. Do you wear yours in wet weather? I'm always so worried the cork will get damaged

@Laska2Meryls - that's so funny! there were some oat coloured pull on linen ones in this sale, but they have been in quite a few sales, including JL ones

Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2023 16:10

@faustina ah yes, JL that must have been ot, looking at it its definitely a JL Toast label..Gosh I had those at least 2 years then 🤦‍♀️..
Am ironing them now .. will definitely be on this weeks wear list !!

Yes it is. I've had the navy on my wishlist for a while and meant to buy it this autumn but this came along. A lot of my tops are navy so thought would stand out a bit more. Better quality than expected (and expectations were high at that price).

I'd love it in a winter white.
