Very useful and lovely dress @Saurus72
@Laska2Meryls What gorgeous, vibrant colours. You are a dye wizard. I still haven’t plucked up the courage to refresh my faded black Ashley jeans. Worried about messing up my machine, although you do provide lots of reassurance.

Noodle421 · 23/07/2023 17:28

@dudsville. Thanks for clarifying. Good to know. I meant to check with you before buying them.

lordloveadog · 23/07/2023 18:12

Love that dress on you @Saurus72 and with those accessories. I would not have bought it because dryclean; useful to know things actually potentially washable.

Here's my contribution to lovely toast archive things. It's very simple but there's something about the little gathers at the bust that make it incredibly flattering and not too fitted there. It's quite like the black one they currently have - a sort of tulip shape

Still looks good as new !

faustina · 23/07/2023 20:05

I don't wear it often, but every now and then it's just what I was looking for. The fabric is quite heavy so it's pretty much bombproof

Dee1224 · 23/07/2023 20:44

It looks a similar vintage to mine @faustina - very nice!

Brillenbar47 · 23/07/2023 21:14

My sales inventory is a shocker:
Indigo hemp jacket and trousers
Dresses x 3 - brown/cream searsucker, drawstring waist denim, sail stripe linen sundress
Shorts x 3 - linen in copper and navy, linen cotton in walnut
Trousers x 4 - the cotton poplin drawstring in copper and navy, linen drawstring in parchment, wool cotton kick flare in oil
Tees x 3 - Emma in black and rust, black v neck
Just the one skirt - denim with the fab kindle size pockets
Shirts x 2 - navy ticking stripe and the red cedar pale blue stripe
And a jumpsuit - slate micro check from a while ago
And a gown - the blue one with orange lining and fish swimming on it

Never will need to buy anything ever again!

Noodle421 · 23/07/2023 21:56

@Brillenbar47 but it was a great sale, silly not to take advantage ! Im sure everything you’ve bought will prove very useful. I bought 2 linen shirts and 2 A line skirts at great prices on the spur of the moment and I’m delighted with them. Pleased I succumbed.

Saurus72 · 23/07/2023 22:02

Agree @Noodle421 - the only crime will be saving any of your lovely new things ‘for best’, and not wearing them all the time @Brillenbar47 !

Stoic123 · 23/07/2023 22:17

Yes- it was a good sale. The last few sales have gone on for ages but has allowed opportunity to try more from restocking. I think I got to try on most of the things I had my eye on.

Reduced linen was a nice surprise- no more linen or blankets needed for a few years now though. Also a good lot of slippers - where did they come from? The slipper warehouse?

Stoic123 · 24/07/2023 07:28

What is it supposed to be? What is the chair doing there? Gallows?

Toasties: Looking great for High summer and holidays
lordloveadog · 24/07/2023 07:53

Well that's sinister

Countmeout · 24/07/2023 07:53

Is it an ark as we’ve had so much rain? The chair’s to let Mrs Noah have a sit down.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 24/07/2023 08:24

@Countmeout Grin

😂😂

Stoic123 · 24/07/2023 08:41

@Countmeout - yours is a much better suggestion.

I did think 'Wicker Man' there for a second.

Countmeout · 24/07/2023 08:43

On the other hand may be seating for a circus tent. I’m a theme behind .

First day at UAL today, wearing a mix of old and new Toast and feeling sick with nerves! Adult dd is along for the free room share (which is lovely).

How exciting and cool !!!
Very chic outfit
Are you doing a course ?

SmaugMum · 24/07/2023 09:13

@ilovecherries I think I am hugely jealous. We sit outside Central St Martin’s whenever we are in London as DD2(7) will play in the fountains for hours while DD1(15) loves to watch the students coming and going in their amazing outfits. It was my dream for DD1 to attend art college as she is a talented artist (she once won a national competition) but she was talked out of taking it as a GCSE by her school; mainly because she is registered blind and they didn’t want to make the necessary adjustments to the curriculum. But maybe it isn’t too late for her? 🤔

SmaugMum · 24/07/2023 09:14

@ilovecherries it goes without saying that your outfit looks fab!

Noodle421 · 24/07/2023 09:18

@SmaugMum
Never too late X

Noeggsontoast · 24/07/2023 09:29

@ilovecherries fab outfit. Enjoy your first day at UAL! It's a great place.

AFingerofFudge · 24/07/2023 09:37

@ilovecherries you look great! Enjoy your first day!
