😍 Enjoying all the outfit pics!

Hi,

I have just got an email - I have finally been refunded - yippee!

Fingers crossed that my last two returns are processed properly.

I think the universe is trying to tell me three things:

Don’t order too much 🙀
Consider returning orders in store
Try more things on in store before the sale and make a note of sizes and codes!

ScottishMouse · 22/07/2023 20:15

Not me doing the different Toast outfit every day @Laska2Meryls. Sorry I am very bad with mn names so can’t remember who it is.
I was just thinking this morning though that I have worn only dresses every day for the last two weeks thanks to my sale purchases (not different ones every day, the same 4/5 on repeat). This is unheard of for me, I am definitely more of a trousers person. But a change in body shape is making finding trousers that fit well very challenging, and dresses are so much easier to fit to my bottom half. I was thinking I should try wearing dresses every day for a month, I’m half way there already.

@Noodle421 the only other snippets of interesting info is that there's some nice Donegal sweaters arriving and some Annie cords. I think she started telling me and then looked like she shouldn't have said anything. They do like a bit of intrigue at Toast, they always pretend they don't know when the sales are or when they finish!! 🤣

Has anyone tried the Fayre dress? Reviews seem to think it’s small on the bust (surprise - not) . Sideline have a dress with a very similar vibe coming out per Instagram previews. I know one of you tried sideline last year but there was something about sizing. Can’t remember what and returns are not free as far as I know.

I bought the Fayre dress in blue. I often have a problem with tightness over the bust with Toast dresses but this one was ok. I’m not particularly busty but have changed shape with peri/menopause and am perhaps more matronly up top than I used to be! It’s marginally tight but fine with the top few buttons unfastened. I really wanted to suit the gold/yellow stripe as I already have a lot of blue but I would get lost in a wheat field - no skin/hair contrast so it was blue again for me. I really love it, swingy but not as voluminous as some other Toast dresses which can make me look enormous. Great quality and hangs well.

I am approximately a UK 12. I bought the dress in a Medium

I didn’t mean to repeat !

Noodle421 · 22/07/2023 20:24

Thanks@faustina I will have another look at the walnut dress. I was really drawn to it, it really is such a lovely rich colour. I also have a navy cardigan to complete the outfit !

Oh no, I’m such a sucker for Donegal sweaters 🙈

faustina · 22/07/2023 20:29

@Noodle421 - well there you go- another message from the universe! 😁

Haha 😛 I’ve had lots of messages from the universe recently. I’m going to have to put this one on a wish list.

Countmeout · 22/07/2023 20:37

Thanks @Noodle421 that's useful to know. It’s the only thing sort of appealing at the moment.

Stoic123 · 22/07/2023 20:41

Me too for Donegal jumpers.

@faustina - the Donegal Knit Ocean Blue arrived. Not quite as short as I wanted/asked (it came length of the XS with the breadth of the L). Did yours come back slightly longer than expected? Anyway, it is nice so I'm not going to complain.

@Laska2Meryls - I'm doing the different Toast outfit a day. Day 22 and I've still got loads of choices left for test month which shows how much Toast stuff I have.

faustina · 22/07/2023 20:44

@Stoic123 - that's a shame about the jumper! Mine was/is quite long but I think it was the fault of the measurements I gave them rather than the other way around. I should have ordered it shorter

Stoic123 · 22/07/2023 20:48

@faustina - as I managed to shrink the last one, a bit of contingency is probably useful. It looks much better than the previous one anyway (pre-shrink).

lordloveadog · 22/07/2023 21:27

Did anyone else fall for the mad duck pjs in this sale?

I'm wearing them this evening. They really are the most outrageously fabulous pajamas. Bertie Wooster eat your heart out

AFingerofFudge · 23/07/2023 08:03

@lordloveadog I dont know which pyjamas you are talking about but I'm already wishing I had!

Yes - selling them to me too!

@lordloveadog - was it the pair in slightly camo colours (greens and browns)?

dudsville · 23/07/2023 08:47

I'd be interested to see a pic @lordloveadog!

I'm also relieved to hear some of you struggle with names on here!

Re the sale and buying so much, i told my dh about my fantasy plan in case of fire, and he commiserated saying that of course we'd get the money back on insurance but the items are actually irreplaceable. I feel this way about the sale, it's my chance to get something that will be gone soon!

lordloveadog · 23/07/2023 08:48

Yes, the slightly camo ones except they aren't so much irl

Stoic123 · 23/07/2023 08:52

Ooh - pic request from me too please.

lordloveadog · 23/07/2023 09:45

The background isn't right for them but I don't want to disappoint my public.

This is the ankle cuff

Stoic123 · 23/07/2023 09:46

Ooh - that is prettier than it looked online.

dudsville · 23/07/2023 10:02

I agree, less camo irl, very nice!
