That's a great idea @Noodle421, I'll look for a cotton vest! I think i could wear that even on warm days, it would absolutely provide that softer layer between me and the poplin and be perfect in colder days, brilliant simple solution!

I find the First Aid Cami in nude from ME+EM (under Tops and Layering section) useful. Perfect for taking the chill away from poplin and other tops. Adds a tiny cosy feel and I wear it mostly through the spring/summer/autumn months, even on hot days. The first one fell apart within a couple of weeks, it was replaced quickly and I’ve had no problem with this one. It is very light weight but it works for me. Most of my clothes are made from natural fibres, this is spun viscose but I have no issues with it next to my sensitive skin ( I have eczema).

Thank you @Noodle421 you've made me feel a lot better about returning the shoes 🙂.

That’s great. Stay strong. You are the one being inconvenienced here. Do let us know how you get on with the next pair.

Got my last two sale parcels yesterday, so today I'm wearing the cotton linen wide leg trousers (which are really comfortable) together with some items from this spring and earlier in this sale, namely the cream alpaca half sleeve cardi and the tint stripe cotton poplin shirt. I simply love this shirt, received it around middle of June and I think it's been washed 5-6 times already. Should have bought a second one...

Am I the only one wanting to buy mere than one of items that feel "just right"? In this sale I have gotten two each of the cotton linen v-neck tee in both black and montella, because I loved them so much. And because I am totally infatuated with the montella colour 😀

I’m the same. I do buy the odd duplicate and have never regretted it. The colours are beautiful and difficult to find elsewhere. I regret buying the tint stripe poplin shirt. I bet it’s a very useful shirt.

Shoes and today's outfit ( artfully lazy unironed trousers)

Lovely outfit Laska. Everything works so well together and the Steve Mono shoes are gorgeous. I’m considering ordering the T as I love the breen colour too. Can you advise about sizing pls. I’m a small in old Toast sizing. Should I opt for a medium now? I want it to be quite snug to fit neatly under a pinafore dress.

dudsville · 21/07/2023 10:41

Fab outfit @Laska2Meryls, and really like the shoes! I've also been experimenting with not ironing some things, mostly linen as cotton still lneeds it imo.

I haven't managed pics recently, but I'm in the pond with an unbuttoned grey cropped swingy overshirt today, after wearing the ecru dungarees yesterday, today and yesterday both with pale grey arizonas.

Also, completely unrelated, ever since posting about my struggle to wear my brown seude arizona's I put them by the front door to become "taking the rubbish out" shoes, and turns out they go with a lot more than I realised, so they get worn a lot now, I just needed to choose them.

Finally, I recieve the pistachio heathery wool sweater this morning. I bought the orange and blue in the winter sale and love the bold versions so presumed I wouldn't like this pale version. I went a size up to make it more slouchy as pretty sure (?) I tried it in the winter sale in the more fitted size and thought it wasn't for me. It's lovely!!! And a colour that goes well with my skin tone, unexpected! Must have been a dismal witner's day when I tried the smaller size. The orange doesn't go with my complexion but I do sometimes wear things that don't suit me if I love them enough - I figure, a lot of people don't know what suits them and they happily go about their lives so it isn't at the top of my checklist!

I've got a pair of socks, that lotus gown (please god let me send that back) and the full price jessa indigo dungarees on their way to me (as well as some under vests ordered this morning 😉@Noodle421 ). So that's my shoppong coming to an end!

Noodle421 · 21/07/2023 10:47

@ToastCosILoveIt apologies, I sent you wrong information about the trousers modelled on wearsitatkat Instagram. They are clearly different trousers from an earlier season although they look similar. The photo popped up on my current feed and I assumed they were the new ones. I was rushing between jobs, slightly on automatic pilot and didn’t twig even when I referred to the April date ( duh 🙄). Hope you are getting on ok with the new ones !

No1Mousie · 21/07/2023 11:04

last three sale packages arrived today … one replacement for the denim tie dress as there was a fault in the fabric, one the blue gathered sleeve T, and the last, the side button denim skirt.

I am sort of thinking about the Sturlini loafers, but Toast suggest sizing down and they don’t have the 36 in stock. Any ideas on sizing please - I will wear them with socks and tights.

No1Mousie · 21/07/2023 11:45

@PretLea heres the garment dyed jacket in stone with the green twill dress, which I think didn’t make it greener, what do you think?

Great combo@No1Mousie !

dudsville · 21/07/2023 12:35

This is me today!

faustina · 21/07/2023 12:38

So nice to see the pics. You all look lovely!

BettinaInDenmark · 21/07/2023 13:13

Both looking lovely!
Envious at the stone workwear jacket - it was in my shopping cart when the sale closed...

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 21/07/2023 13:18

Lovely photos, the pond dress is definitely very versatile, lucky the sale is over or I’d be putting it in my basket 😁.

Stoic123 · 21/07/2023 13:38

Getting Pond Dress second thoughts now.

Toast outfit today is the wide legged fawn trousers (that have been pretty unloved in the last couple of sales) paied with the navy 'Hamptons' top.

Stoic123 · 21/07/2023 13:43

Nice pairings of dresses & jackets @No1Mousie @dudsville

PretLea · 21/07/2023 13:50

@No1Mousie I love that muted combo - looks super. But from what I can see, you’re right. Doesn’t seem greener with the olive dress. I’ll have to grab the jacket if it comes back in the next sale. It looks like a really versatile colour.

No1Mousie · 21/07/2023 13:53

@dudsville which top is that please? It looks super over the pond dress !

@Stoic123 those trousers are just fab on, so nice in real life

No1Mousie · 21/07/2023 14:00

Last gloaty post - this is the denim skirt I was stalking - think I will wear it to rags.

Last few sale deliveries today.

The Lichen carpenter trousers which I discounted last year as too long, don’t know what made me think I’d have grown another 2 inches over the year 😅, returning.
Dhal mariner skirt in a 10, I can still step into this without undoing any buttons, but definitely a better fit. I don’t wear a lot of skirts but I really like this so will try it with a few of my tees and shirts and decide from there.
Check linen trousers, I bought a M as that was the only size left, they are probably a bit big but extremely comfy and I really like my shorts in the same fabric. I’ll probably keep these.

And still no word from cs on the bandana.

Noodle421 · 21/07/2023 14:21

All such great outfits. Everyone looks lovely. I have slight envy about the denim skirt which looks great on you @No1Mousie . The sale version sold out. I bought the full price one in the new drop, wore it a couple of times and then the sale denim skirt came back into stock again in my size. They look very similar except for the split in the front. Hey-Ho.
I didn’t realise the pond dress could be so versatile @dudsville . I had reservations about the colour suiting me but it looks super with your dark grey top. Wishing I’d bought one now, it was such a good sale price. So many neutral colours will work with it and I know it’s a very pretty shape as I’ve seen it looking good on a customer trying it on in the shop.

Noeggsontoast · 21/07/2023 14:22

@Stoic123 @dudsville @No1Mousie loving all your outfit combos.

I have those fawn trousers and love them. I've not paired them with my navy Hampton top yet but you've inspired me to do so.

@Laska2Meryls love that tee with those trousers. I really have enjoyed wearing them so much these past few weeks. So light and comfy.

Joining in with a pic, my toasty outfit today is the Maeve dress and alpaca cardigan with Fracap Olas and a Kate Sheridan mini rhythm bag.

Laska2Meryls · 21/07/2023 14:23

My last two orders pear alpaca tank.. Nope.. it wasn't just that the last one was just too big that I thought it wasn't working.. it was the sticky-out cap sleeves .. which stick out even more on me in the smaller size.. . probably much better on someone without my rugby players shoulders..!
French bue workwear trousers:- fit fine, but they are just a bit boring...

So thats three orders out of the last 4 going back..

@Noodle421 I sized up in the breen tee as I wanted a v loose look.. and it is a boxy fit anyway .. I would have gone two sizes smaller for a fitted version.. so I would suggest sizing down

@No1Mousie love the green dress and jacket together and the denim skirt is fab on you .. that's a definite 'wear it forever' piece
@dudsville and@Stoic123 ..I love both of those outfits .. love the charcoal shirt over the pond and the unloved trousers look fab

No1Mousie · 21/07/2023 14:26

@Noeggsontoast arghh I bought the alpaca cardigan, and have that dress saved - I must be strong …

No1Mousie · 21/07/2023 14:31

@Noodle421 thanks! I had steeled myself to buy the full price one if I hadn’t been successful in the sale, and tbh I think it’s got a bit of elastane in, which might be good for cake eating days - this one feels quite ‘fitted’ around the middle 😅
