Think @ToastCosILoveIt has bought them and someone else. Wonder if they stretch a lot as some people are saying they are neat on the waist in the reviews?
Toast chat said the waist was 28 inches in the medium but obviously that will stretch out with the elastic at the back. Not that I am buying just now...

Yes, I have them, arrived this am. I wouldn't say they're particularly neat on the waist and of course there is the elastic to the back too which makes them comfy. I need to try them on with some tops snd jackets this pm before I decide if I'm keeping them. They are lovely and feel and look good in the brief moment I tried them on.

@Stoic123 , trousers have arrived, think they are a keeper but just need to try them on with a few jumpers etc. I ordered medium and I am a high street 12 apple, 5ft 5. They fit me perfectly, not too tight or too loose. The bagginess somehow works without looking too oversized or adding pounds - I think as someone said, they manage to hold their shape without looking stiff and this gives them a good line. I would definitely buy them in navy or black. They fall right on my ankle and I think they will look good in winter with DMs and a neat sweater or in summer with a fairly fitted tee. Parchment is a good description of colour, definitely a little different to cream.

The tie neck cotton linen tee in rich navy arrived. I took a chance on a small as it was sold out in medium and it fits. It will be useful under jumpers in winter when you want the option of taking off the jumper inside. The cream version in a medium is coming tomorrow.

Looking forward to mine - but will have to be pretty great to keep at full price.

I also ordered the Celtic Blue Wool Scarf - crumbs.

AFingerofFudge · 20/07/2023 17:04

Some of my last orders arrived. Most of it definite no's. I managed to get this hemp cotton canvas dress and I normally would never wear anything sleeveless but I kind of like it. Is it a yay or nay??? (Excuse the -Toast- socks!!)

@AFingerofFudge , I have that dress in black and have (shamefully) never worn it. I got it out yesterday with a view to wearing it before the weather turns. It's a lovely dress, definitely one for hot days or holidays. It looks lovely on you, the material is fabulous quality.

dudsville · 20/07/2023 17:14

Yet another item I never would have considered as it was depicted online, but you wear it so well @AFingerofFudge ! I particularly like the neck line, of course! And it would look nice transitionally under a cardi. What's the fabric like?

dudsville · 20/07/2023 17:15

Also, love the green on your walls!

AFingerofFudge · 20/07/2023 17:15

The fabric is gorgeous. Thick, slightly rough but lovely to touch at the same time

AFingerofFudge · 20/07/2023 17:16

Aww thanks @dudsville - yes I love that green so much.

I have this from a few years back. I really like it.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 17:30

I wear it with a cream tee under it.

Just been on Instagram- Shepton Mallet having a sample sale Friday - Sunday this week.......and I'm in Kefalonia!

Laska2Meryls · 20/07/2023 18:30

Typical @mizu ...I did manage a visit earlier but sadly it was a bit rushed..They did have a lot of stock though and were busy ironing things ..
Anyway quite a bit was current sale stuff - not so much archive as last time I was there.. Also I didn't think that the prices were as reduced as previously.. For example patchwork denim jacket which I am pretty sure I tried on at 125 in the winter sale and sent back, was selling at 145,! .. I may be wrong, but it certainly wasn't reduced any more.. Last time I was there pretty much everything was half price or less..
I tried on the lime/ black linen dress from last year - which I liked but style didn't quite like me .. Also a black and white kaftan thingy which I think was from several years ago..
Anyway all I bought was a pair of Steve Mono fisherman shoes in dark brown leather which were still 145 ! Not a great reduction since they were last years .. but I had wanted them then and didn't buy..
Disappointed that there wasn't much out in the accessory line .. nor in nightwear..

Of course they could be holding it all back for tomorrow..

I'm watching ep 3 of the 4 episode Marvels short series "Secret Invasion", and Nick Fury's wife is, i think, wearing a kantha gown in yellow. Anyone seen it to confirm?

Laska2Meryls · 20/07/2023 18:36

On the way home now and I have several parcels waiting ..
I also looked at the new stuff.. I do like the crinkled jumpsuit and the abstract print dress is gorgeous ( worn by the assistant who was similarly so) sadly wouldn't be on me .. I also love the embroidered texture cotton dress..
But I won't be buying either!!

My final parcel arrived.
Clementine jumper, too big and there's a fault on the neck stitching.
Didn't like the colour.
Loop back jersey top and trousers-again not keen on the colour and pretty ordinary for the price.
I have the midnight set and it's much nicer.

That's me for a while, awaits autumn/ winter eagerly.
Am working strictly on a one in / one out basis now or handmade
I have my top to knit and plan to make a dress on my AL.

Purchases
3 Draped utility dresses in denim, olive and slate
Pond
Denim drawstring dress
Drawstring collar dress
Cotton cashmere dress
Oar check dress
Drift pinafore
Stack check jumpsuit
Canvas Utility trousers herb
V neck Lydia -non sale

I wonder with the success of the sale whether they might need to consider their prices?

@Alpacasoft - good to see your full list. I am envious that the draped utility dresses suited you. I liked them very much but they didn't look good on me.

I'm on Day 20 of July's 'wear a different Toast outfit each day' challenge. Today's is the old style Cotton Cashmere dress (no buttons). I've had a draining week so far and it's been a real comfort to wear ❤️.

I'm been looking forward to wearing most things but am still steering clear of the jumpsuits and viscose dresses - so need to wear one of each this weekend to try and overcome the mental block.

agnesmartin · 20/07/2023 19:38

I saw that @dudsville. My husband recognised it as a Toast type thing! 😆 Didn't notice her wearing anything else by Toast.

Not posted much as haven't had much time, and busy wasting what time I have on the Toast website, and returning parcels!

I am waiting for 4 parcels arriving tomorrow. The denim tie waist, draped utility in the navy, mariner denim trousers and a couple of tops.

Standouts so far are the denim skirt, diamond balloon trousers (I love these!) and I think probably the drift pinafore dress. Also find the v neck T-shirt in black really useful.

This is such a good idea. I tend to wear on repeat - partly out of laziness and partly from wanting to keep clothes for ‘best’ an attitude I’m trying to change

Stravaig · 20/07/2023 19:54

@dudsville Giggling at re-trying-on to check a move, these things are important!

I just watched a series which featured a Toast jumper in the later episodes. (Chemistry of Death?) Highly implausible that the local innkeeper on a remote Scottish island could afford Toast knitwear! A wealthy blow-in, perhaps. No stalking the sales either, with either dodgy dial-up or completely cut off. Maybe it was a gift? On the plus side, she did wear it in every scene over multiple days of plot line, which is very realistic :D

faustina · 20/07/2023 19:54

@Noodle421 - I get stuck in a weird clothes block - like the weather is right now, and then it feels odd wearing anything which isn't that particular thing. Maybe I will try your very good idea @Stoic123 . It's not as if we have that long a summer in which to wear these things

Noodle421 · 20/07/2023 19:57

You are describing me! I’m hoping simplifying my wardrobe will help me reach for more things

faustina · 20/07/2023 19:59

So annoying isn't it? I haven't worn a dress once this summer- and my brass alixes just feel wrong, because they aren't the cactus coloured pair

It's my dream dress , am tall and long waisted .
I only meant to keep one but loved it so much I knew I would have sale regret for ever more if I didn't keep them all.
I have that dress and the culottes, such lovely fabric .
