Going strong for more than 8 years! Full of great reviews, reports of empties and despair over our ever growing stashes!

Thanks @listsandbudgets same thing happend to me they said an allergy and prescribed steroid cream, which apparently makes scabies worse :(

Fraaahnces · 11/11/2023 22:54

@LivingDeadGirlUK You poor thing! I hope you and your family get rid of these critters asap! I remember when COVID kicked off, a man was showing the pharmacist the scabies all over his hands. I was next in line and he tried to hand me the pen that guy had just used. I nearly teleported out of the place.

Experiment627 · 12/11/2023 05:07

@LivingDeadGirlUK that sounds awful! Really hope you feel better soon xxx

A few more empties

Bulgarian yogurt body butter. A friend gave me this..I actually really liked it pleasant smell and sunk in well. enormous pot.though took me ages to get trlheough it.

Votary apple toner. seems to be a lot of love.for this one but honestly it did very little for me and I thought it smelt a bit rank.

number 7 radiance exfoliating cleanser. sad to finish this ine. A great zesty orange smell and left my skin really smooth

L'occtaine almond hand cream..Smelt nice but fairly average results.

Yeah, I don’t like the Votary apple toner either and sadly have at least one other in my stash (just 30mls though). Feel I might as well rub cider vinegar into my face!

MavisMcMinty · 12/11/2023 14:12

Oh! But I got a great AHA toner in this month’s LiB box, love how soft and smooth it makes my skin, similar to the Paula’s Choice BHA toner which I love but can’t really afford. (Dunno how much this BYBI one costs at RRP, mind you.)

I don’t like that Votary toner either. Made an executive decision last night to get rid of one. I take it away with me but never use it. I suspect it’s probably past it’s best by now so it’s going.

CorneliaStreet · 12/11/2023 17:30

I’ve got a bottle of that BYBI exfoliator in the cupboard @MavisMcMinty. Sounds great, I’ll have to give it a try.

MavisMcMinty · 12/11/2023 17:35

Yes, I’d be interested in how you find it. Also got a BYBI night cream in the same box, which I’ve had before - not great tbh, I don’t wake up with my skin still feeling moisturised, but didn’t have a night cream in my stash so y’know, needs must.

FiveShelties · 13/11/2023 03:18

Thank you for your kind words everyone. I just love those red shoes @Fraaahnces

So here I am back in NZ with all my lovely stuff to add to the lovely mountain of stuff I already have. But, I have one other thing which I have brought home ---- I got bloody COVID! First time I have had it, so I suppose I cannot complain - but I am doing. Because I have attained the vast age of 67 I have been given antivirals so hoping that means I will be fit as a fiddle by Friday! Patience is not my strong suit.

My lovely husband unpacked my suitcases yesterday and has placed all the beauty products on top of a cabinet - there are a lot when they are 'displayed' altogether.😂

Fraaahnces · 13/11/2023 05:07

Oh No @FiveShelties! I suppose it’s inevitable that your immune system has had a freak out after everything you’ve been through. Also planes are germy tin cans in the sky. I hope it’s a mild, “just a cold” version and the antivirals knock it out asap.

Peridot1 · 13/11/2023 08:50

On no @FiveShelties! Not what you needed! Hope you feel better soon.

I think I should be making a bit of a dent in my stash as my skin is so dehydrated at the moment I’m layering on tonnes of hydrating products.

listsandbudgets · 13/11/2023 15:01

@FiveShelties Hope you feel better soon. I've had it twice now and it's ghastly or was for me anyway. All I can suggest is plenty of rest, plenty of fluids and plenty of nice skin care!!

listsandbudgets · 13/11/2023 15:05

I'm glad I'm not alone in my dislike for the Votary toner. I thought I was msising something.

I've got a small bottle of serum in my stash - am I goign to be equally disappointed?

MavisMcMinty · 13/11/2023 15:44

I had a nice hyaluronic acid serum from Votary, is that the one?

listsandbudgets · 13/11/2023 15:49

Yes.

That's good news after the toner. I've got a REN serum to finish up first

listsandbudgets · 13/11/2023 15:50

^thank you^

Peridot1 · 13/11/2023 16:00

I have that serum too @listsandbudgets. Have a few others to use up first though!

Experiment627 · 14/11/2023 04:16

@FiveShelties feel better soon 💐

@Fraaahnces @Peridot1 @listsandbudgets @Experiment627

Thank you so much. First time I have had Covid and I definitely do not want it again. I feel like I have been run over, seem to hurt all over - very weird. Sore throat and a horrible taste in my mouth. Stupid virus!

But I do have lots and lots and lots of products to try to cheer me up😂

Fraaahnces · 14/11/2023 07:14

Definitely the universe giving you a sign that you need to step back and look after yourself @FiveShelties. Sleep lots, drink lots of water and juice, eat ice lollies for the throat. Take paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain relief (sticking to strict timings) and put your feet up until you’re better. (I also ascribe to the hot bath and soup club too)

KimberleyClark · 15/11/2023 09:55

L’Occitane addict here. Can never resist going into their shops wherever I see one. And they take back empties for recycling so I always have a excuse to visit my local branch.

Congrats @PomRuns I still have about 90 to go. I have used 61 though so not too bad.

PomRuns · 15/11/2023 20:59

@OchonAgusOchonOh 61 is great.
I still have about 30 unopened things plus I’ll buy things in the sales and maybe an advent (or 2….)
