Thank you @Fraaahnces it is a grim task, I am pleased that my Mum had gradually been sorting through things and there was not as much as I thought there would be.

I honestly think a ban is a great idea. You should definitely start a new thread with that. And I would join. I have plenty of things to last me for at least a couple of years and doing it with more people won’t feel as boring or daunting.

I still haven’t succumbed to the AC… yet.

A few empties:

87) Ren AHA Body Serum - I liked this. I don't get what people say about it smelling bad. To me it just smells like some kind of orangey citrus fruit (but I'm now paranoid that everyone else thinks it smells bad! 😂). I did find that it stings if you put it on after shaving your legs - ouch!

88) Ragdale Hall Spa Sleep Body Butter - I often like to have a shower or bath in the evening and put on something lavender scented as I find it relaxing. This was nice, but not as nice as the This Works one

89) Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer - I've had several of these hanging about in my stash for ages and wasn't feeling particularly excited about using them. However, when I did, I really liked it! I didn't leave it on for the full amount of time, but it still left my hair super soft.

90) MZ Skin Eye Mask - Meh. Single use eye masks don't do much for me. And there was more plastic inside the packaging. Wasteful.

An empty - I’m From Fig Cleansing Balm. Lovely product. Very enjoyable to use. It’s a pretty, pale pink balm with a light, fresh, fruity fig scent. It emulsifies nicely but isn’t my favourite balm texture to use. You absolutely need to double-cleanse with this one, which is fine because I do that anyway. Won’t repurchase because I have some others in my stash to try
and some cleansing oil that probably needs to be finished first. Am eyeing up a couple of cleansing oils to try once done with this lot.

L'occtaine rose hand cream.. love this smells beautiful sinks in well leaves hands feeling soft.. what more.do.i want?

l'occtaine cherry blossom perfume. happy to say I've got.another small bottle of this in my stash

Clarins Bain aux plantes relax .. this is a absolute classic. it makes my baths so dreamy i've been known to fall asleep. properly bubbly too. wish i had more in my stash.

no 7 water surge gel .. did the job but maybe a bit greasy for me.

3 days into my self imposed buying ban.. so far so good .. ONLY 208 DAYS TO GO!!!!

I am on a self-imposed makeup ban. I am experimenting with trying to finish some items and decluttering others. I have a drawer full of lipsticks I never wear and intend to ditch most of them. I know for a fact that I will finish my mascaras, and everything else will be an experiment.

I have enough makeup to last me and all the women (and men, I suppose) of my village for the rest of my life. Haven’t intentionally/purposefully bought any for YEARS, but get lots of makeup in my beauty subscription boxes.

Come the apocalypse, I’ll be able to swap makeup/skincare for eggs and chicken, honey and vegetables.

@PomRuns I am at The Trafford Centre for a couple of days before I fly home, I see many treats on the horizon. I see it as my duty to boost the UK economy before I leave.😁

You can usually find them in M&S stores for several weeks after they sell out online

Update on the job situation if anyone is interested. 🤣 I was paid out almost my full annual leave. Not quite all of it, they’ve done some weird and dodgy maths, but I’m not bothering with the shitfight for a few hundred dollars.

And I got a new job. 😁 It’s an industry I’ve not worked in before, so I have some training courses to do, but I signed my contract this morning and start Friday. 😁 And the pay is even better than the last job, so I’ve piled my cart with advent calendars. 🤣

Arkive shampoo and conditioner I liked these at first but then they made my scalp itchy.

I have very sad news on the M & S AC front. Trafford Centre store did not have a single one left. After all the repacking to get one in my suitcase! I fly home tomorrow and really I definitely did not need the AC so I suppose they did me a favour. Maybe.😁

That’s a shame about M&S @FiveShelties, it seems to have sold out really fast this year. Have a safe trip home.
