We are doing Barbieheimer this afternoon / evening. Not been to the cinema for years so quite excited.

Haven't been on the thread for a while as I've had covid and lost my sense of smell / taste. It also ruined my summer holiday as I was bedridden for half of it! Still feeling a bit ropey tbh but at least I can smell things again.

SOTD is Kiehl's Musk.

Today I was wearing a mix of Elie Saab's Lumiere ( too sweet for me) so diluted it with a Mallorcan juniper fragrance. However in a shopping centre I succumbed to the salesman at the Sunnamusk counter and tried Golden dust on one hand and something more 'Oudh' and less sweet on the other. My but they're strong! Still smelling them now. Not sure.

Will have to see about cinema tickets then... It will be my first time in years and years, too.

SOTD yesterday was Violet Ida, for a trip to the sea. As soon as I stepped on the morning train a migraine came on, I think it was the bright sunlight. But I was quite happy sitting in the shade on the pier watching the waves and the tiny people on the beach. And seeing the fields fly by the train window on the way home.

SOTN today is Samsara.

SOTN is Samsara. I'm putting a medicine on my hands tonight and then have to dangle them awkwardly off the edge of the bed til morning. I always seem to need the comforting embrace of a Guerlain to get me through this. It used to be Shalimar, but patchouli has been aggravating my migraines recently, so now Samsara has the honour of accompanying me overnight.

SOTD is Oud for Greatness by Initio - absolutely gorgeous, I love oud and this is really long-lasting. I got it as a sample, and when I checked how much it was it was outrageously expensive, so will stay as a sample only. But really very strong, a winter fragrance I guess.

I don’t know much about oud perfumes, but I had a sample of Atkinsons Her Majesty the Oud not long ago and thought that one was great.
