I think it's fine (and lovely!)

mangoontoast · 29/04/2023 12:59

Not at all, it's beautiful, you'll look amazing!

LittleFreakJezebel · 29/04/2023 12:59

Perfect wedding guest dress if you ask me!

QuickNameChangeForMeToday · 29/04/2023 12:59

I think it would be fine, it’s really nice.

Daffodilwoman · 29/04/2023 13:00

I think that’s fine.

Fooksticks · 29/04/2023 13:00

I think it's fine, and a lovely dress!

SirVixofVixHall · 29/04/2023 13:00

Perfectly fine for a wedding, looks fresh and lovely.

Movinghouseatlast · 29/04/2023 13:01

It's lovely. M and S have some great stuff these days don't they?

Aylestone · 29/04/2023 13:02

A normal person would think that’s totally fine op. I personally know a couple of bridezillas who would have gone apeshit at a guest wearing mostly white. I wouldn’t risk it unless you know the bride will be ok with it. Can you ask her?

TheChosenTwo · 29/04/2023 13:02

Lovely! Perfect wedding guest attire 😀

DangerNoodles · 29/04/2023 13:03

It's beautiful, but my photographer said one of the problems with guests in white is that they stand out too much in the photos and compete with the bride. Personally I wouldn't wear that because you will draw attention away from the bride in her expensive photos, even if there are green spots on it.

Also, I think if you have to ask, it's too white!

Marinapeppina · 29/04/2023 13:03

Personally I wouldn’t wear a dress that was mostly white to a wedding. Better to be cautious!

EasyAsNow · 29/04/2023 13:04

I am the first person to say no white or black at a wedding but the dress is fine! And really nice!

Hazelnuttella · 29/04/2023 13:05

I wouldn’t wear it because I’d be too paranoid about spilling something on it… but I think it’s fine for a wedding. Especially if your shoes and accessories aren’t white/light.

blahblahblah1654 · 29/04/2023 13:06

It's gorgeous! Definitely appropriate

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 29/04/2023 13:06

It's fine - quite obvious that you're not the bride.

That’s my thinking to be honest. I seemed to be in the minority so worded it differently to the ‘you don’t wear a white dress to a wedding, and that’s a white dress’. It is beautiful, but you will definitely be at risk of upsetting the bride and having the other guests whispering behind your back.

Fudgewomble · 29/04/2023 13:15

I think fine so long as you’re not wearing white shoes with it (and bridesmaids aren’t wearing green!). Lovely dress.

Username24680 · 29/04/2023 13:17

Really lovely dress @Noooooogsh 😊 I think you’ll be fine!
Id have it ruined with some kind of drink or food spillage within about 10 mins though 🤣

cushioncovers · 29/04/2023 13:18

No I wouldn't wear it. It's too white and as someone else said you will stand out in all the photos but that's just my opinion.

Pearfacebananapoop · 29/04/2023 13:20

Wear with a green jacket / pashmina?

SparklyBlackKitten · 29/04/2023 13:22

Wearing white to a wedding?

Isnt that what all brides dream of that their female guests show up to their wedding in?

Great idea op. Go for it. Im sure the bride will be thrilled that out of all colours you could choose: you chose white.

hairdresserbreakup · 29/04/2023 13:24

Pearfacebananapoop · 29/04/2023 13:20

Wear with a green jacket / pashmina?

Was going to say the same. Is that an option?

SummaLuvin · 29/04/2023 13:27

It's probably not too white for most brides (and wouldn't have bothered me at my wedding).

That being said, I would avoid any and all majority white dresses as a guest, the risk of upsetting a bride (one you presumably like enough to go to her wedding) on her wedding day isn't worth it. Therefore, I say find something else OP.

I always disagree with comments on colour shoes pashmina/jacket, shoes, bag.. If you get warm then the cover up comes off. While sat down your shoes and bag will not be visible. So these don't make much difference in reality.

doglover90 · 29/04/2023 13:29

If I were you, I wouldn't. There are so many non white dresses that you could wear. It's lovely but may photograph as more white than you intend.
