Not sure if I've lost my mind or not- if a yes would wear with really simple dark jeans and white crew neck tee.

No. It's like Joseph and his technicoloured dream coat. Or Elton John.

FreddiesTeeth · 25/04/2023 22:29

If you are Austen Powers, totally go for it! Yeah, Baby! 🤭

Shantotto · 25/04/2023 22:29

I love it but I have my eye on a Lucy and yak paisley jacket!

Passerillage · 25/04/2023 22:29

😮

I think it is reduced to clear for a solid reason.

Vivfor60 · 25/04/2023 22:29

I am no style icon, but yes you have lost your mind!

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 25/04/2023 22:31

I kind of...like it. Not with the matching trousers, as that would be lunacy. But as you plan to wear it with plain jeans and a tee, I could see someone pulling it off. Not me. Someone else. Definitely someone else.

Errmmmmmmmmmmm · 25/04/2023 22:31

I love it, but would never wear it because i could never pull it off. beautiful though.

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 25/04/2023 22:34

It reminds me a bit of when Kristin Scott Thomas' character in four Weddings went 'jazzy' for the last wedding. Except, jazzier!

If you love it, it makes you happy and will wear it lots, buy the damn jacket!
I adore a velvet jacket (my mum made me one when I was a teenager in the early 90s and I lived it in,) but the pattern is too much for me personally - if I saw it on someone else I'd love it.

DeflatedAgain · 25/04/2023 22:36

On the right person it could be a look!

Very funky

CC4712 · 25/04/2023 22:38

Ignoring the gaudy colours/patterns, it doesn't look like a well structured or flattering jacket! It doesn't even fit the model well.

Order it if you love it- but only if you can return it for a full refund!

TeeBee · 25/04/2023 22:38

Oh dear god, no.

FancyFanny · 25/04/2023 22:42

For context, I'm 50, short blonde hair, quite tall at 5'7" and a size 10/12 (mostly 12). Usually a fairly classic dresser- like to be fashionable but conservative!

FancyFanny · 25/04/2023 22:45

I've ordered it already (not from John Lewis- it significantly more reduced elsewhere) and it actually fits well. I can return it so if anyone can link to a blazer which is similar but much nicer- maybe not as garish please do!

Go for it!

I bought the trousers just last week 😁. I'm 55.

FancyFanny · 25/04/2023 23:07

I'm worried I'm becoming old and fashion blind! 😁

TescoFinestMyArse · 25/04/2023 23:30

I love it. Paired with a navy shirt and white jeans. Lovely!

LuluBlakey1 · 26/04/2023 00:09

No, it's awful- colours and pattern.

Tighginn · 26/04/2023 00:15

I would admire someone else wearing it, but wouldn't have the confidence my self to rock it.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 26/04/2023 00:43

Life is too short not to wear something you love. My honest opinion, though, (as someone who’s older than you) is that it may give you a look of ‘brave older woman who has decided to embrace eccentricity’. If you’re cool with that, go for it. Personally, I’m not quite ready for my ‘wear purple with a red hat’ stage 😄

Susieshoes2000 · 26/04/2023 01:09

Not keen sorry

namechangeasparanoid · 26/04/2023 05:33

I love this. If you like colour go for it.

WordtoYoMumma · 26/04/2023 06:02

I love it!!! I'd definitely buy it if I could afford it. I bet it looks great on you 🙂

MysteryBelle · 26/04/2023 06:12

It’s too much for me but I actually love it for someone else. Enjoy it!

Dedodee · 26/04/2023 06:25

Where are you planning on wearing it?
I wouldn’t wear it but if you love it then cool.
