Not sure if I've lost my mind or not- if a yes would wear with really simple dark jeans and white crew neck tee.

If anyone else fancies a velvet blazer I also bought the plain blue Next one at £43 at the top of the page here. It's much nicer in real life than the picture on the website and is a nice proper cotton velvet with a lovely navy paisley pattern lining- Keeping that one too! 😁

Somebody else mentioned Prue Leith, but I was thinking more Mary Berry and much as I like her, as a fifty-something I don't want to dress like her.

Keep that blazer forever. Don't return it! It's a statement piece and it tells people you're unafraid to stand out and be seen. I love it, might order it myself!

I received my blazer from Next this morning - I totally loved it, but DD2 rightly pointed out that because I had sized up to fit in the bloody boobs, the sleeves were too long. Also orange is not my colour.
So I have returned it to Next - I didn't dare keep it in the house incase I cracked and kept it 😆
