Need to up my "dressing for breakfast on holiday " game

We're off to Sorrento this summer (first abroad jaunt since before covid) and whilst not a posh place it's a bit smarter than our usual AI choice hotel.

We'll be either lazing by the pool or going into town for a walk by day, the odd trip so whilst not a dressy holiday per say I think I need something more substantial than a floaty dress over a bikini for breakfast kind of outfit.

I'm still thinking dresses as they are easy and if I choose carefully will suit different parts of the day and activities.

Can anyone recommend some good online places to look, probably top budget of £40ish. Also easy free returns a must - Cupshe have some lovely things but their returns aren't free for example.

Really need ideas as I'm going to be around chic Italians Confused

I used to have such a great collection of holiday stuff unfortunately I've put weight on! ☹️

Thanks for reviving this @rockstarshoes .

i bought the very thin M and S dress this year . Its fine for me pottering down to breakfast and then to pool and will be really light on. Comes in plain colours too.

This Marks dress is quite forgiving.

And I’ve ordered a Boden dress ( after along time of buying nothing from them) to see what it’s like. They sent me a birthday voucher so it seemed rude not to.

some of my existing holiday dresses look tired or are a bit tight too.

Boden on Vinted is what you need. They do printed linen shift dresses that are flattering and just right for holiday breakfast I think but with a pair of flip flops . Also look out for the printed jersey dresses with pockets they used to do. Loads of different patterns and again they are flattering and comfy.

That's lovely and would look nice for sightseeing too

Have a search through Vinted. I buy other peoples unworn ( maybe packed too many/leftover) breakfast dresses ( and trousers). 😆

More upmarket look at Aspiga.

Isabelle70 · 15/06/2024 08:44

@JamieFraserSporran do you have the first dress? Is so, what is the sizing like? It looks quite oversized.

I love the 2 Dunnes dresses!

I'm back from my holidays now but loving all these suggestions!

This year I've worn cheesecloth shorts co-ords for breakfast, rather than dresses, with a stretchy bra crop top underneath or my swimwear, they don't need ironing and are cool to wear.

Yeah Rina I wore my flowery co-ord trousers with a shirt a couple of morning!

I also wore dresses out in the evening & then recycled some of them for breakfast dresses later in the week!
