I've caught the ear piercing bug and can't decide what to get done next. I currently have 3 lobe on my left and 4 lobe and tragus done on my right. Looking for inspiration.
Please show me your beautiful ears ☺️

@FunkyMonks Thanks for the advice. That makes sense about the design. I trust the artist, she has a great reputation and her work is beautiful.

I'm so excited. If this one goes well I want a bigger one on my back too. And a few more piercings of course 😀

FunkyMonks · 19/04/2024 15:50

@MintIcecreams
Tattoos are defiantly addictive 😊 I love mine currently healing my latest one and already looking to get another big one booked in after our hols late summer.
Good luck with your first tattoo 😊

FrogtheDog · 19/04/2024 15:59

@CartilageQueen that's a very pretty ear

Here's mine - a horrible addiction! They're a mix of white and rose gold, and have taken me several years to build up. Really recommend Pillow with a Hole to save them from getting sore thepillowwithahole.co.uk

These are incredible

I have had my daith ring changed for a much smaller one ( the larger one was the original piercing ) . On that ear I have a daith+a lobe piercing .
(Other ear has 2 lobe+forward helix+tragus )

So now the ear with the daith feels a bit naked .............

Really fancy an inner conch but I wear masks at works which when I searched up Conch Piercings was one of the problems identified with non-healing . And it's my safe sleeping side .Plus my other cartilidge studs are still in their very slow healing stages

<Wait a while >

Do it do it do it

GrinI might go for a 2nd lobe percing but a bit further along (like where a 3rd would be ) I don't want my ears to be too matching .

Just checked - Upper Lobe

MintIcecreams · 27/05/2024 17:55

Definitely do it!

I've been considering a daith but already have a conch and tragus in that ear

MintIcecreams · 17/06/2024 17:00

Anyone got any more piercings lately? I'm considering booking in for more lobes this week.

Swiftbushome · 17/06/2024 17:02

Not me. Still planning on getting my nostril done but I'm going to wait till after the summer.

No not bothered for ages still trying to heal the three I had over a year and half ago 🙈 they have all decided to now play up and have bumps and bleed 🥺.
Got more tattoo appointments booked in instead.

MintIcecreams · 17/06/2024 18:08

@FunkyMonks I've ended up having 2 tattoos recently. What are you getting?

FunkyMonks · 17/06/2024 18:10

I'm having tattoos representing my kiddos and my most recent one was a panther head 🥰 it's super addictive but at this rate my legs are slowly getting covered.
How about you?

MintIcecreams · 17/06/2024 18:12

I got two flowers on my upper arm for my kiddos and a long iris on my back just because I thought it was cool 😎I now want to do the other arm and then start on my legs. It is definitely addictive.

Love the sound of your panther head, bet it's fabulous

MintIcecreams · 17/06/2024 18:13

Hmm, I'm hovering over booking the appointment for 2 extra lobes in my right ear. Lobes will be ok in a few weeks for my holiday, right?

I got an extra lobe done in December and for some reason it has been a sod to heal - only stopped being sore and delightfully pus oozing this week.
My forward helix caused much less hassle

I had the same. A double lobe done a few years back and one of them took six months to heal. Forever bleeding and swelling and generally being revolting. Looks great now though.

By far the worst has been one of my helixes - I had it done in September 2021 and have given up on it today. It hurts, swells, oozes and stinks on a regular basis and has a stupid lump on it. I’m gutted because the piece was very pretty but my body really doesn’t want it. Everything else has been fine since healing - and only one lobe was difficult - but this was having none of it.

Does anyone know what to do with ends you no longer need? It’s a really nice BVLA piece that cost me hundreds and it would be a shame to leave it in my jewellery box. Though I suppose I could swap it in and out with my conch.

peachgreen · 19/06/2024 11:13

I had to take out one of my forward helixes for the same reason, it just wouldn't heal – the other one has been absolutely fine. So annoying! I'm tempted to do it again but worried it will aggravate the healed one next to it...

MintIcecreams · 19/06/2024 11:17

My helix is by far the most annoying piercing. I've had it over a year and it still gets pissed off. I've just put a ring in it and weirdly it seems a bit happier.

I've booked in for the lobes as a treat. I've been on a weight loss journey and have lost my first stone 🙂

What is your BVLA piece @broccolibush? Could you use it for another new piercing?

FrogtheDog · 19/06/2024 12:19

I know they say helix's get knocked more etc but my daith has been a dream to heal in comparison. Zero issues at all.
The helix isn't infected or anything. It's just always sore and tender. I'm only 5 months in with it so hopefully it'll get there eventually.
My third lobe on one ear keeps being a pain too.

broccolibush · 19/06/2024 13:36

It’s so odd, I have a triple helix (and double forward helix) on the other ear and they’ve been absolutely fine to heal - and that’s the side I sleep on! No rhyme nor reason to my body’s behaviour though. Stupid biology.

The piece is a BVLA Nalani in topaz and diamond like the one in the flat here. I have a conch piercing on the same side so can pop it in there if I feel like a change, I suppose. Or maybe donate to my sister.

FrogtheDog · 19/06/2024 13:52

How did you find the conch at healing?
I said I wouldn't get any more....but

MintIcecreams · 19/06/2024 13:53

Wow, what a lovely piece @broccolibush

@FrogtheDog My conch has been pretty much trouble free. I've had it since February and no issues at all.

MintIcecreams · 19/06/2024 13:54

Actually, it was March.

broccolibush · 19/06/2024 14:07

My conch was a dream to heal, second only to my daith. I’ve only ever had a stud in it as I know some people struggle when they try to heal it with a ring. It’s currently sporting a BVLA by your side with tanzanites in it. So pretty.
