I've caught the ear piercing bug and can't decide what to get done next. I currently have 3 lobe on my left and 4 lobe and tragus done on my right. Looking for inspiration.
Please show me your beautiful ears ☺️

Good luck @MintIcecreams
Mine didn't hurt at all I had a forward helix done first in the same session and that one DID hurt so I was a bit worried because the second one usually hurts more (apparently) but nope. Not the case for me 😊
I'd love to see a pic afterwards if you fancy posting one.
I'm going to get my flat downsized on Saturday and really hoping my conch will be ready to switch out for a ring.
Also toying with the idea of getting a nostril piercing while I'm there but I have a sort of long nose so I'm not sure (just call me Pinocchio) 😂

The square is unusual - is to one or two holes?

It’s just one, it’s an old earring that just seemed to work well in the flat!

Bearsinmotion · 28/03/2024 23:58

@MintIcecreams my double conch is two weeks old now and has been the least painful and least problematic so far!

MintIcecreams · 29/03/2024 07:35

@Swiftbushome good luck with your conch ring. How long have you had the piercing? Also think you should do the nostril. I was unsure about mine but I LOVE it now.

@Bearsinmotion your double conch looks fab and gives me confidence. Also love your collection.

My appointment is today and I’ll post a pic when it’s done. Less nervous now, more excited. Why is this so addictive?

Anyone have 4th lobes? That might be next 😁

Swiftbushome · 29/03/2024 18:43

How did you get on @MintIcecreams ? Would love to see a pic...
Ok I need to decide on whether to get a nose piercing or not. I'm thinking a little sparkly diamond stud if I do go for it. What do you think? This pic isn't me. It's a photo from Reddit BUT this lady has a similar face and nose shape to me. Sadly she is also younger and more beautiful 😂 opinions please.

@Swiftbushome I think a little stud would look lovely on that nose shape. I'm sure it would look beautiful on you. My nose is pretty big but I love mine, it just adds a bit of decoration 😀

I have my conch! It didn't hurt too badly at all and I love my jewellery. I'll get a pic in a bit and post.

That’s lovely!

Swiftbushome · 30/03/2024 15:28

So I went to my appointment to get my flat downsized. That was all good. Also my conch is healed so I switched it out for a ring which I am super pleased about. I love it. I moved the labret that was there to my second lobe on the other ear because that had a cheap crappy huggie in it . Also got a stacked lobe put in on the same ear as the conch and flat. I'm really happy with that ear now. It's totally done. I want to switch out the little huggie I have in my 2nd for a labret but the one I liked at the piercers today was diamond so a bit pricey. Am going to have to wait for a bit for that!!
Only disappointing thing was that I was going to get my nostril done but luckily had a thought on the way there that maybe since Im due to get a wisdom tooth extracted soon I might have to remove it. Googled and yes. All facial piercings would have to come out. The piercer said that really I don't want to be taking out a nostril piercing that's less than a year old because it's likely to close up within an hour or 2 apparently. So that will have to wait. Hence the stacked lobe to chear myself up. I'd finally psyched myself up after wanting the nostril done for AGES just to be told no. Glad I checked though. I'd have been so annoyed.

MintIcecreams · 30/03/2024 18:57

Argh, shame about the nostril but sounds like it was for a good reason. Love the sound of the conch hoop and stacked lobe. My conch has been pierced in the right place for an eventual hoop. I'd love to see a pic of your new shinies!

Swiftbushome · 30/03/2024 19:19

Here it is! The inside of the conch is looking a bit red. The piercer said it will probably look like that for a day or 2 till it settles down.
This ear is done now though I think.

That is one fabulous ear! Oh, you've got me wanting a stacked lobe now... 😀

Lovely selection of jewellery. Are they BVLA? I was eyeing up some BVLA yesterday when I got my conch done.

Swiftbushome · 30/03/2024 20:51

Ah thanks. I'm really pleased with it. Yeah the labrets are BVLA the hoops arent.

Hi👋🏽
Found this thread by accident, and despite only having fur children🐶, I had to make an account to join in the conversation.

My collection:

LE: 3 lobes, mid helix, "normal" helix, flat, rook & tragus (all healed)
RE: 3 lobes (healed), conch (around 6 weeks old)

Also have my tongue (10+ years) and my nose (2 weeks old), have had 2 microdermal piercings too but they have both rejected now.

Next plan is for a hidden helix in my right ear.

Has anyone got any new piercings or jewellery recently?

Swiftbushome · 18/04/2024 16:09

Hi @CartilageQueen I LOVE that you made an account just to join this chat 😂
I haven't had any piercings since the stacked lobe I got 2 or 3 weeks ago (when I really wanted to get my nostril done!) which I posted about at the time. I DID get a fairly big cover up tattoo done on Saturday though to cover my crappy old tramp stamp I got done in the noughties!
I'm planning to get a double faux rook done once the ones I'm healing are settled enough to sleep on though.

OP posts:
MintIcecreams · 18/04/2024 17:32

Nice collection @CartilageQueen. Hidden helix looks fun! I'm considering either a matched nostril (ring in one side, stud in other) or a septum. Also maybe a daith but that might make my left ear a bit cluttered.

Ooh what was the tattoo @Swiftbushome ? I'm booked in for my first tattoo next week. So excited.

Swiftbushome · 18/04/2024 20:21

@MintIcecreams it's floral. Peonies and lavender. Floral is great as a cover up because they can lay the flowers whichever way works best to hide the old one. I actually really love it(which is great because I was permanently embarrassed by the crappy monstrosity I had there before) it bloody hurt on the bit that was being covered though.
What are you getting and where? Is it your first?

OP posts:
FrogtheDog · 18/04/2024 23:00

Hi all you piercing people....I just got my daith done yesterday.

It hurt more than I was expecting, but it was worth it. Cannot wait to swap it out for something more sparkly.
My helix is 7 weeks old. I had the bar swapped to shorter one yesterday too. It feels much better now.

FrogtheDog · 18/04/2024 23:09

Actually, what is the proper name for my upper piercing? Is it a flat? I was going for a faux rook, but think it's more a flat.

CartilageQueen · 19/04/2024 11:36

@Swiftbushome oh I do love a tattoo too. They are just so much more expensive than a piercing! I'd definitely consider your nose piercing! I much prefer to heal a stud than a ring. But, my piercer was like "i'm going to position this so it looks sick if you put a ring in it" 😂

@MintIcecreams yea! My local studio stocks Junipurr jewellery, I've got my eye on a piece called Delilah which I think will look really cute! I need to start on my right ear and my left is starting to get weighed down 😂 First tattoo is exciting! What have you got in mind?

@FrogtheDog I watched a friend get her daith done - it looks so painful. I love them, but don't think my ears are suitable for one. I would say that is more of a flat, I think it's maybe a little high to be classed as a faux rook 😔

This is my current set up, I'm looking for a cute wee hoop with a dangle for my rook, if anyone has spotted anything?

Swiftbushome · 19/04/2024 11:48

Ah @FrogtheDog I'm well jel 😂 I want a daith but I haven't got he right anatomy.
@CartilageQueen yeah I think a little hoop with a charm would look fab. Again I'm jealous. I also don't have the anatomy for a rook. Stupid ears. So it's faux rook (x2) for me next time. And hopefully I can get my nostril done soon. I'm waiting on a wisdom tooth extraction 😱 can't have any facial piercings for that so I'm not getting done till afterwards in case it heals when I take it out

OP posts:
Swiftbushome · 19/04/2024 11:49

There were a couple of nice rook hoops on the Laura Bond website you might like?

OP posts:
MintIcecreams · 19/04/2024 12:38

I'm considering a rook hoop but mine still isn't healed enough I don't think. @CartilageQueen the Junipurr delilah looks cute. I love their jewellery.

New tattoo will be floral and will be my first. I sent an inspiration pic when I was arranging it but I've never done this before so I don't know what to expect. Do you generally get to see the design before the day? I'm clueless.

FunkyMonks · 19/04/2024 15:26

@MintIcecreams
Tattoos tend to be shown the day of your appointment most artist won't send you a preview before your appointment as there has been too many cases of the client taking the design the original artist has spent ages doing to another tattooist to do.

Aftercare will depend what your artist recommends for looking after it palmers coco butter is normally a recommended one that you can buy in any supermarket .

But also check butterluxe tattoo after care I have used their stuff on all my tattoos love the green foam soap for washing them during the healing stages and the butters for healing stage they come in so many scents really are lovely.
