I've caught the ear piercing bug and can't decide what to get done next. I currently have 3 lobe on my left and 4 lobe and tragus done on my right. Looking for inspiration.
Please show me your beautiful ears ☺️

@Swiftbushome it might help, I would be interested to hear what your piercer says. Do you sleep on a normal pillow? Love the jewellery btw

I'm getting my two new piercings today. So excited. I'm planning a tragus and a flat but I'll see if I have a suitable ear for what I'm planning. I'll post pics later 😁

This thread is fab! I have 6 piercings (3 in each ear), the most interesting of which is a bog standard helix that I had done about 25 years ago. will definitely be getting more when I finally quit playing netball.
DD has asked for some jewellery for her rook, helix and tragus for Christmas. She's asked for internally threaded. Any site recommendations please?

I like Piercer Charlie's website for ordering jewellery. They have a great choice of jewellery at different price points and the customer service is fantastic.

I had to take my second forward helix out :( It just would not heal, I’m sure because it had such a long bar which kept getting knocked by the other one. A bit gutted. I might try again in the new year and see if I can go somewhere which will agree to pierce it with something shorter.

FunkyMonks · 20/11/2023 07:17

@peachgreen
Did you have it downsized after 8 weeks of having it done? That may have not helped with it not healing if the original swell bar was still in.
I could never get my forward helix to heal either I think it is just in one of those awkward spots where it's forever getting accidentally knocked or caught with hair.

skippy67 · 20/11/2023 22:45

Thanks @BatwomansRevenge

Pickingmyselfup · 22/11/2023 21:17

Has anybody had their tongue pierced? I've been pondering it for a while but the main thing that puts me off is age! I'm a 37 year old mother! I feel like people would judge me as some try hard wannabe teenager.

Swiftbushome · 22/11/2023 21:36

Oh god no. Tongue scares me. I'm worried I wouldn't be able to eat.

FunkyMonks · 22/11/2023 22:17

No tongue has never appealed to me, I think if it's what you want weigh up both the pros and cons but I know it can cause some to end up with a lisp when you have it done the swelling too and possible risk of causing damage to your teeth and gums by the bar knocking them or getting into the habit of biting the bar and running it across teeth.

freetheunicorn1 · 24/11/2023 23:21

Going for a new helix piercing tomorrow 😃

MintIcecreams · 30/11/2023 20:01

Just realised I didn't share my new piercings! The flat and tragus are the new ones. I'm delighted with them and now want a septum.

Wow they look great! Congratulations! How is the flat? I like the look of them but I'm worried about catching the back with glasses

OP posts:
MintIcecreams · 30/11/2023 20:19

Thanks Swiftbus. The flat swelled a lot but now it has calmed down it's absolutely fine. It doesn't touch my glasses at all.

MintIcecreams · 30/11/2023 20:19

I think the ear with the flat needs something else but I can't decide what.

Swiftbushome · 30/11/2023 20:20

Conch maybe? Reckon a hoop would look great

OP posts:
MintIcecreams · 30/11/2023 20:32

I would love to get a conch. I should probably wait until these have healed for a while but it's so hard 😂

OriginalFloorboards · 01/12/2023 17:13

Love the photos. I’m dying to get more done but waiting for my Tragus to heal. I can’t have the helix with the riding hat straps but I love your flat! I might put my hat on tomorrow and see if that could be an option @MintIcecreams

Yes I agree with the orbital conch to balance the ear out a bit.

My flat is fine with my glasses, but it’s maybe anatomy-dependent. Mine doesn’t touch it at all.

Going in for a conch and a rook tomorrow to start my left ear. I can’t wait 😁

Swiftbushome · 06/12/2023 22:09

Wow exciting! Good luck @SaltanVinegar. I love a rook and conch combo. That was what I wanted but didn't have the anatomy for a rook, so got a forward helix instead.

OP posts:
MintIcecreams · 07/12/2023 11:23

Gah! I've developed a huge bump on my tragus. It doesn't hurt or anything but it looks awful.

peachgreen · 07/12/2023 11:38

Oh @MintIcecreams I'm sorry! Both my forward helixes got a bump – one disappeared after about 3 months and healed up beautifully, the other was still awful after 6 months at which point I took it out and it disappeared practically overnight. I'm still sad I couldn't get it to work!

SaltanVinegar · 07/12/2023 11:54

Thanks, @Swiftbushome I read your post about that after I wrote mine! Fingers crossed there’s enough room on mine to be done 🤞🏻. (Leaving now…)

MintIcecreams · 07/12/2023 11:55

Good luck @SaltanVinegar

@peachgreen that's a shame that you lost a forward helix. Did you put anything on the bumps? I've tried hot salt water compress but it made it worse

SaltanVinegar · 07/12/2023 14:36

Reporting back 😄 My piercer gave me a gold star for the healing on my mid helix and flat, haha. Apparently the piercing is clean looking, you can see through it.

Rook was… stingy. Probably the most so far, but very happy I did it. Barely felt the conch in comparison!
