I've caught the ear piercing bug and can't decide what to get done next. I currently have 3 lobe on my left and 4 lobe and tragus done on my right. Looking for inspiration.
Please show me your beautiful ears ☺️

@Swiftbushome the snug has been fine for healing, I heal pretty well (I’ve probably jinxed myself now) but my god it was the most painful piercing I’ve ever had! And I’ve had a lot! I cried for about 5 hours afterwards 🤣

Pickingmyselfup · 18/09/2023 12:41

Rook is done, not a pleasant experience. Out of all of them I think it's the worst. I've had a big bar in to allow for swelling, got to go back in a couple of weeks for a smaller one putting in. Can't imagine that being fun...

Swiftbushome · 18/09/2023 13:16

Congratulations! Here's hoping for easy healing.

I really hope so, I've been to hell and back with the others!

Looks pretty though. I think a 3rd lobe then that will be they ear dome (maybe!)

Swiftbushome · 18/09/2023 14:20

Yes it looks great I'm jealous. I so want a rook. Sadly I have stupid ears which are the wrong shape. I love that long piece you have in your helix btw 😊

Thanks, it's from Oufer (got it from Amazon) The silver lining to taking the second helix out.

It's so annoying isn't it though when you don't have the right bits for certain things. I desperately want to look nice in a maxi dress but none of them suit me, I'm just not the right shape.

MintIcecreams · 18/09/2023 15:47

Ear looks great @Pickingmyselfup Where did you get the tragus piece?

Pickingmyselfup · 18/09/2023 16:23

It was done like this so it came from the piercer. I think they can order stuff for their customers though? Mine had a magazine with loads in but I never really looked in it.

Swiftbushome · 29/10/2023 21:26

How's everyone doing? Anyone get any new piercings or jewellery recently? I finally got my helix switched out for a hoop. Took 7 months to heal but we're there. Thinking about getting a second forward helix on the other ear so it's sort of snakebit style...

I'm thinking of getting my nipples done tomorrow before I chicken out. I'm very scared of the aftermath though, how on earth do you avoid even just brushing against your boobs???

OriginalFloorboards · 29/10/2023 22:22

Hello new to this. Midlife crisis and lost my dad to cancer so went to have my helix done yesterday.

I have horses though and ride 5 times a week so took my riding hat. I popped it on for the piercer and I couldn’t have the helix so ended up with a Tragus which I absolutely love.

It’s just a plain one for now and I’m on day 2. I’ve just seen the pillow with a hole and I’m buying that on payday. Thank you everyone.

Didn’t think about ear plugs I have to wear due to husband’s awfully loud snoring so I ended up with no sleep and asked him to go into the spare room (after poking him, trying to get him to turn over etc).

Managed to ride my horse today, but I could feel the tension of the strap on my ear but all was good. I rode my quiet one and told her not to drop me, ha.

All I can have after this is the daith due to my riding hat. Will definitely do once healed. Just hope I can wear ear plugs in the future. I’m such a moron not thinking of that.

PS if I held you up in the queue with my riding hat I’m so sorry!

MintIcecreams · 30/10/2023 10:29

That's great about the healed helix @Swiftbushome. I've had mine 6 months now and it finally feels healed.

I have ordered two pieces of jewellery from my piercer that should be here this week. I might have some new piercings to show off soon. Excited!

MintIcecreams · 30/10/2023 10:29

Sorry to hear about your dad @OriginalFloorboards

Swiftbushome · 30/10/2023 12:06

Yeah sorry about your dad @OriginalFloorboards
What did you order @MintIcecreams ?
I'm having a bit of a mare today. I decided to change the earring in my right ear 3rd lobe and I CANNOT get the threaded end to go in. It's literally driving me nuts. I've got the back through the hole but I can't thread the front into it. I think it's because it's so teeny and I'm trying to do it in a mirror so it's all reversed. Aaaaaggghhh

@Pickingmyselfup nipple doesn't hurt so bad and super quick to heal just sleep with a bra on during the healing stage so it doesn't get caught that's what I done mine was healed within a few months.
I no longer have it now mind had it done in my 20s.
But from memory it wasn't that bad.

Well so far I would love another piercing but I've booked two holidays for next year so I don't want to not be able to go swimming because of a piercing.
Perhaps I will get a flat done in my other ear after Sept next ear. I would also love to give tragus piercing another go in the opposite ear but again wait till sept next year perhaps have the two done at same time.

At moment I've been having tattoos done again that and I've gotten use to finally being able to sleep on my left side without causing issues to the piercings. 🤣🤣

I want to go back to piercer end of year and change jewellery for my helix and rook and see how the conch is doing as I'm debating swapping that out for a hoop.

Also want to get a bling piece of jewellery for my septum I've swapped it a fair few times since it's been healed but got my eye on 14k Gold with sparkles.

Pickingmyselfup · 30/10/2023 13:58

Nipples are done! Wasn't that bad, my rook was worse. Downsized that whilst I was there and it's doing really well which is unusual for me!

Giving myself a break now until the new year then it will be 3rds.

MintIcecreams · 30/10/2023 14:07

@Swiftbushome Two Junipurr pieces in moss agate and chrysoprase. I'm not fully decided where to get them but probably tragus and flat.

Well done @Pickingmyselfup! I assumed nipples would be very painful. Glad to hear they weren't.

@FunkyMonks I like the sound of the septum bling. I might get a septum too.

GiantPandaAttacks · 30/10/2023 16:04

Have you tried blue tak and a pen, Swift? It’s the only way I’ve managed to change my threaded pieces. Small ball of blue tak on the piercing and the pen nib pushed in means that screwing the earring in is a little easier.

Swiftbushome · 30/10/2023 16:07

Thanks @GiantPandaAttacks I actually went into the nearest tattoo shop and asked them nicely and they did it for me.

MintIcecreams · 31/10/2023 09:13

Looks lovely @nosepierce! I'll post pics when I get my next ones done, hopefully this weekend.

OriginalFloorboards · 31/10/2023 15:06

@nosepierce love it! I can’t have anything like this with horses as my hat sits by it and the straps but I love my Tragus I had done on Saturday. I can’t believe I’ve got to this age to discover it all.

loving all your pictures everyone!

Swiftbushome · 31/10/2023 16:53

Ooh I love that hidden helix. Hope does it work? Is it a bar under the top part of the ear? Or 2 connected studs? I don't really understand it 😂. Looks fabulous though

OP posts:
nosepierce · 31/10/2023 22:49

i'm happy with it! its one piercing, the two cz are on either end of a bar! it is pierced under my top ear fold at an angle.

Swiftbushome · 01/11/2023 22:41

I have a tragus piercing which is almost 9 months old and definitely not healed. It's weird because a helix I got done since has completely healed fine. Do you think changing the jewellery might do it? (Or getting my piercer to change it actually). At the moment I have this, and I'm wondering if the sticky out bits might be part of the problem. Thinking maybe if I'm sleeping on it it's digging in? I was thinking if I got it switched for something with smooth edges, like a little ball might help?
It's quite itchy which is odd. I don't think its the metal though because it's 14k gold so should be fine.
