I've caught the ear piercing bug and can't decide what to get done next. I currently have 3 lobe on my left and 4 lobe and tragus done on my right. Looking for inspiration.
Please show me your beautiful ears ☺️

here's another angle. when this heals, i would love a hidden helix. god its addictive this ear piercing game!

I think that is perfect, I have an ears like yours and a higher helix and it is obscured, hoops are tricky and anything with a pointy edge digs in. I’d love one where yours is @nosepierce

Swiftbushome · 11/09/2023 16:15

I think it looks lovely. Honestly. But I do know what you mean. I have one in basically the same spot (on the other ear from the one I posted a pic of a few posts back) and I sort of feel the same. It's pretty but I wish it was a bit higher because I wanted to wear a hoop with a little chain (to be fair I decided this AFTER I got pierced) and I'm worried the chain might hang down rather than cling to my ear since it's pierced in the widest spot.

Something a bit like this. That's not my ear btw

thanks for your thoughts swiftbus and Settodonotdisturb. i do like it but have a sneaky pestering voice "get another one a bit higher above" 😆

Swiftbushome · 11/09/2023 18:08

Ooh like a snakebite? I think that would look fabulous

Ooh yes, and that would be an odd number which is best I think.

popgoesperfection · 12/09/2023 11:57

Finally been and got my third lobes done, i'll wait a couple of weeks before going back for my conch.

Swiftbushome · 12/09/2023 12:04

Nice one. Fancy adding a pic?

Looks great!! I love that it's such a high placement.

popgoesperfection · 12/09/2023 14:22

I was hoping to squeeze a high fourth at some point but i'm not sure they'll be enough lobe?

Swiftbushome · 12/09/2023 15:13

How about stacking one under the 2nd? I think that would look nice. If you go higher than that 3rd you'll be in cartilage I think?

OP posts:
popgoesperfection · 12/09/2023 15:54

aw yeah that would look nice actually, with a teeny stud? yeah it would be cartilage or on a tiny slither of love.

Swiftbushome · 15/09/2023 17:23

Just wondering how long others have had to wait to switch a helix piercing from a stud to a hoop? I've had the piercing 6 months next week but I don't think it's healed fully yet which is annoying...

OP posts:
popgoesperfection · 15/09/2023 18:21

@Swiftbushome i've had mine pierced just over 5 months and had it switched to a hoop on tuesday when i got my thirds done. it's flared up a little but i've just gone back to cleaning twice daily till it settles down.

Swiftbushome · 15/09/2023 18:35

Oh really? Was it feeling fully healed before you switched? Mine has been playing up a bit for the last couple of weeks. I think I slept on it funny or something. Has it swollen up since? I really want to switch.

OP posts:
FunkyMonks · 15/09/2023 19:33

I also want to change mine but at same time I don't want to risk causing it to flare up as my conch is still playing up and at times my rook can feel sore but I think that's me sleeping on them at night 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Helix is almost 8 months old I think to be on the safe side I'll wait until end of Dec to look to change it over I'm unsure if I want a hoop or to just change the heart shaped end to something more sparkly.

popgoesperfection · 15/09/2023 19:51

yeah there was no soreness or redness, even when i caught it it didn't seem to bother it so i took the plunge. it's not swollen just a bit tender and got a bit of fluid when i clean it.

My forward helix was done in March and it doesn't feel any way way ready to change !
Though I haven't changed my daith which is 2 years in December . But that's just because I've not got round to it .

evilharpy · 17/09/2023 05:14

My helix and forward helix were done in March and I changed both a week or two ago. Only for shorter bars but I definitely felt they both would have been healed enough to swap for a hoop. I'm looking out for some hoops but nothing has really taken my fancy.

StarryNightAddict · 17/09/2023 10:40

Late to the party but love this thread. Lots of jewellery inspiration!

Here’s mine. The snug and the vertical helix need downsizing and then I’m going to look for some nice jewellery.

My year old piercings have finally settled down so tomorrow time for a new one.

Going in to get my rook done in the same ear as my helix, tragus, conch and 2 lobes.

Once my industrial has settled down properly which will probably be around the same time as my rook gets better I'll get my 3rds done (again!) After that I fancy a flat piercing and my conch doing in the earn with the industrial.

Swiftbushome · 17/09/2023 22:25

Exciting @Pickingmyselfup good luck for your appointment then. Hope you have the right anatomy. I'd love a rook but sadly I don't.

@StarryNightAddict that looks great. How has the snug been for healing?
