In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

Quite like the idea of a roller ball eye serum. This is worth £85 for 10ml, so hope it’s good!

Not sure about the vit C paste yesterday. I’ve had a Lixirskin cleanser before and found it drying. Might re-gift this one

I'm happy with this too but I got an eye serum in both my calendars today so that was a bit of a shame! I suspect this one will be the best though

Well I’m a recent convert to eye stuff so hurrah. I also came across the Susanne Kaufman bath foam in the liberty calendar last year. It’s so nice and hideously expensive. Fingers crossed I feel like that on the serum!

What does an eye serum actually do? I’ve never used one before.

Not a very exciting one today in my opinion. Can't even remember the brand as it's upstairs. I will use it and it smelt ok (shower gel). I guess they all can't be great!

I've looked it up now, Kalmar calm shower cream which seems to cost about £30! Slightly shocked by the price as packaging didn't feel special.

I’m pleased with this I agree not exciting but off on holiday in January so it will be lovely to take a posh shower gel with me and I would much rather this than some sparkly eyeshadow which never gets used

Yeah it wasn't an exciting one for me either, but it's something I'll definitely use so that's good.

I opened my day 18 early as I needed it for Christmas party prep. Not very exciting but it’ll get used!

Nails Inc retinol top coat. I rarely paint my nails but prompted by a thread on here my 2023 goal is to make more of an effort. Spent most of 2022 WFH what with rail strikes and office moves, which means my standards have dropped considerably. So, might use this as a push to paint my nails a bit more.

I'm a bit sceptical about what use retinol would be in a nail varnish but oh well, it's a nice value product. I can't get my nails done cos of work so it's always handy to have nail polishes at this time of year, it's the one month I do tend to paint them for weekends. Although, I'd have preferred it earlier in the calendar. I've been moaning about this on the Flannels thread, it would have been good to get the glam/night out prep products earlier in the month and the self-care stuff later. Like I don't really need a nail varnish (or a sparkly eyeshadow in Flannels) the Sunday before Christmas... I needed them two weeks ago for Christmas nights out.

But that is me being picky. We've had loads of good stuff.

Oh no @PomRuns what a shame. It's the Ouai shampoo 89ml today so at least it's not one of the high value items, but you should definitely get onto them and see if you can get it sent out.

I'm quite happy with today's (sorry!), I was literally just thinking that I'm about to run out of decent shampoo so this will see me through to new year.

What a shame @PomRuns . Definately contact them to see if they can send you a replacement but (relatively) lucky it was only the shampoo. But might be worth getting someone to check the other doors for you just in case before you contact them

I've just tried the shampoo, first impressions are good. I like the scent and it lathered well, didn't need to use much.

Decent sized shampoo today! I’ve received this before, haven’t tried it but have heard great things.

I think this is where this calendar shines in comparison to some of the others. I have to admit I've not got out of bed in the mornings desperate to open it or to try things, like I have with some calendars in the past. I've found Flannels more fun to open. But they're all really useful, useable items that should save us having to buy like exfoliators/moisturisers/shampoos for a while, whereas the other calendars might be more fun to open but I just wouldn't use as much.

Completely agree @KimmySchmitt ! I haven’t found it as exciting but it’s certainly practical and such good value. A good selection of staple products and all full / travel size too. I’m glad I bought this calendar!

Really disappointed with Flannels today. A perfume that smells of nothing and Glossybox has a Wow hair product that I will never use. I am beginning to think these calendars are made up of stuff they couldn't sell or that has been sitting on a shelf for a year or more.

@Walnutwhipsarenothesame what was the flannels perfume? It wasn’t escentric molecules 01 was it?

Yes it was. It literally has no smell!
