Thread for anyone who has the LiB 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

Bit disappointed by today's but then my free Summer Essentials box arrived so that looks good.

I like the look of the eyeliner. For me it was on the attractions of the advent as I never buy them for myself , can’t get the hang of liquid eyeliners and this looks like it could be easy to apply

I can’t use liquid eyeliner either but will regift this one

Oh I’m the reverse I hate pencil eyeliners but this one looks lovely so I’m pleased!

I’ve tried this out today and it is a nice soft pencil eyeliner, goes on easily and it blends well with the smudging brush at the other end. Was initially dubious about a boring black eyeliner but actually quite pleased with it now

Oh is it pencil rather than gel? In that case I might give it a go. I just bought a couple of Vicky Beckham eyeliners though which I REALLY love.

It is described as a ‘waterproof gel liner in pencil form’ but to me it just appears to be a very soft pencil!

@Zeeza I got the Prep,Party and pamper box which I'm really happy with. Nice mix of make up,hair and some skin bits. Things I'd def not normally buy.
As for today's, well I struggled to get the cap off, it seemed well wedged on. Finally got it off but in doing so the tip of the pencil got damaged so not the greatest start. I'll try wearing it but I smudge eye stuff so easily, prefer to use dark eyeshadow as a liner as stays put better for me.
Still loving having the calendar and my 15 yr old DS has commented that it's a very sturdy box and said it could be reused, he's not wrong!

So far, I'm happy with day 1, but disappointed with days 2 and 3.

Olaplex does nothing for me and I don't wear black eyeliner

I don't mind too much as I bought the calendar in the in the sale, but if I had paid almost £200, I wouldn't have been very happy getting a boring black eye pencil!

Oh gutted. I wish I'd got that as I'd already bought the summer box. Damn. Oh well.

Summer Fridays jet lag mask in day 4. I've never tried this but it gets good reviews and my skin can be dry in winter. Maybe not the most exciting item but so far it's been quite a good mix? Couple of skin things, a hair thing and some make-up. I'd like some fragrance soon or something for the bath (can't remember what's actually in this calendar).

also I love the eyeliner from yesterday but the test is the sharpening!

This is a brilliant product. I got a full sized one in last years space nk, it’s so much better than I’d expected. I use overnight when I don’t want to use retinol or acid. Good size for travelling so will keep for that.

I agree this is a really good product, also got the larger tube in space nk last year and still have a bit left. I use it as an overnight mask, it is quite thick but effective. good for this time of year

@gianfrancogorgonzola @Ohdear7 when you use it as an overnight mask, do you wipe the excess off first or basically just use it as a moisturiser?

I use it like a moisturiser, it sinks into the skin quite well so don’t think you’d need to wipe away excess

Happy with today's, this is something I've been wanting to try.

Looking forward to trying today's! Yesterday's eyeliner was a meh product for me as I rarely use pencil eyeliner.

Going to try this tonight as my skin is dull at the moment. Spent a Teams call last week trying to not keep looking at how tired I look so maybe this will help.

I've got the jetlag mask on now, didn't find it particularly thick or heavy going on (or maybe my skin in just very dry!). Will report back in the morning

@Zoetrope1 glad it’s recommended. I’ve been wary of other vit c apart from medik8.

I tried the drunk elephant one which stank and was to strong and sticky. I really don’t get DE. This one sounds lovely.

@Lurkingshark it should be much gentler than the drunk elephant one.

Also not that it should matter, but it’s so pretty too!
