I wish high waisted jeans would feck off

Why do all trousers and jeans have such high waists? 😭 I really want a pair (or five!) of wide legged jeans, but where are the low rise/mid rise ones all hiding? I'm an apple shape, and hate the feel of anything tight around my middle, lower cut jeans are so much comfier and more flattering! Any fellow apples like to share where you buy jeans and trousers, please?

I love high waisted jeans!

I like high waists but can’t wait for cropped trousers to die. I can’t find full length trousers anywhere good and they’re just awful if you have fat legs/don’t want cold ankles.

H&M has some low rise baggy/wide legged jeans at the moment. They're really nice - my 17 yo daughter has stolen mine. (I'm not an apple though and neither is she).

As an Apple Shape I prefer high waisted; low rise and my not defined enough waist plus hip dips do not suit each other at all.

I loathe high waisted jeans.

After much searching, I've found 7 for All Mankind skinny bair duchess and Tommy low rise Sophie jeans.

They're not wide legged though. I have some low rise bootcut jeans from True Religion that are fairly full in the legs.

I would rather shops offered a selection of fittings. I'm really tall, and long in the body, anything other than high waisted trousers don't fit, but I get that won't suit everyone.

Yes! Im utterly sick of high waisted jeans, someone on here the other day said she felt like Helen Daniels in them which made me laugh!

That was me. Showing my age as a child of the 80s.

But I think they look really unflattering, even on slim people. Accentuate even the slightest hint of a tummy and leave you with a tiny top half.

I don’t think they flatter anyone either I just see vast expanses of stomach and backsides no matter what the size of the wearer.

I saw low rise in our local Next store last. I was looking for high rise. Love high rise!!

’Hip dips’ - yes! I’m assuming here, but that’s a very good description of my body shape. I’m apple shaped too, and though high waisted isn’t ideal, I prefer it to a lower rise where everything spills over the top.

As a fellow Apple, with long legs and a short hip to waist measurement, I could not agree more.

I think they only flatter the extremely slender.

The terminology is strange.
"High-waisted" seems to mean "sits on the waist" - the bit of the body that is indented.
Anything else is hipster.

Low rise literally slip off me when I sit down. Then I get up and they're floating dangerously low. It would help of course if they had a waist that was narrower than the bum. Thank goodness for high rise.

90s style 501s are back with the kids. In fact they are all wearing low slung wide leg/baggy jeans do maybe try Urban outfitters or similar? I have a long torso so love a high waist!

Am apple shaped with long legs and wear M and S Sienna or Lily when I do wear jeans. These days I do find jeans uncomfortable and go for stuff with a softer waist.

They always slide down on me and give me a droopy crotch. But low rise give me a muffin top. I’m not built for jeans, I don’t think.

Me too. They sit over my ribs and nearly on my nipples fgs.
