Mine is Dermalogica Precleanse. Actually Dermalogica products have changed my life. I'd always had bad skin, now it's pretty amazing.

I'd love a good shampoo/conditioner recommendation.

If I ever have a bit of spare cash I love Redken shampoo and conditioner (Smooth Down is the one I swear by, but I am a long/ straight hair bod.) I think you can only buy them in salons, but since you're not meant to work up a huuuuuge wash'n'go style lather (lack of bubble chemicals in there - laurel sulphate, erm,or something like that. I've been told the better the shampoo, the smaller dose of that).

Otherwise, Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is so fab. Makes you a bit shiny, but slap it on at bedtime and wake up looking noticeably less troll-like. Good for chapped lips, lip gloss, shaping and taming eyebrows... Expensive but lasts for ages.

Touche Eclat. Hides a multitude of sins.

ThePettyandIllinformedGoat · 24/01/2008 09:20

dr hauschka rosen creme. it has completely calmed my redness down, also it is pleasingly medicinal in a germanic way.

scampadoodle · 24/01/2008 09:24

Another vote for Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish... Oh, & Clarin's Beauty Flash Balm

VintageGardenia · 24/01/2008 09:26

Nivea lotion - so bloody useful
Dermalogica Multivitamin mask - excellent for putting life back in your skin (especially when you are hungover!)

Anna8888 · 24/01/2008 09:33

binkleandflip · 24/01/2008 09:39

when did liz earle going from cheesy QVC regular to the ultimate skin care guru btw?

Never used the stuff but heard so much about it on here I might give it a whirl

VintageGardenia · 24/01/2008 09:58

She's not cheesy! Although she does appear on cheesy QVC. She makes gorgeous skincare products with herbally natural ingredients which smell fab and are really effective. And as scamadoodle says you usually get a little quelque chose in your delivery. I don't work for her or anything by the way.

Tutter · 24/01/2008 09:58

kiehls tinted moisturiser

ArcticRoll · 24/01/2008 10:19

Another thumbs up for Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish-in fact I think she should give MN discount as she always gets recommendations here.
Also Aveda shampoos and conditioners.

binkleandflip · 24/01/2008 15:12

if anyone has used clean and polish and also dermalogica microexfoiliant could they please tell me if they are basically the same or if not which is better?

Seasider · 24/01/2008 15:40

Neal's Yard Remedies Frankinscense face cream is lovely.
And lashings of black mascara.
Clarins suncreams
Bio-oil for dry skin in the winter

brimfull · 24/01/2008 19:56

got me order of cleanse and polish today and my freebie was a full size bottle of skin tonic and small 30ml body wash...not bad!

Monkeytrousers · 24/01/2008 20:00

With you on dermalogica stuff.

Other than that it would have to be Lush's Ultrabland and a crappy muslin cloth.

What's the precleanse do/for??

Fubsy · 24/01/2008 20:36

The dermalogica microexfoliant is a powder which you mix to a paste with water, then use like a scrub. Ive only had samples from a friend who uses dermalogica, but its really nice.

Cleanse and Polish is a cream cleanser which you take off with a muslin. Smells fantastic and does a great job.

naturelover · 24/01/2008 20:51

Precleanse is an oil that you massage onto skin before using cleanser once or twice a week - a bit counter-intuitive for me because I've always had oily spotty skin - but once you rinse it off with a foaming cleanser your skin feels amazingly soft and clean.

were do you order your cleanse and polish from? QVC?
