Mine is Dermalogica Precleanse. Actually Dermalogica products have changed my life. I'd always had bad skin, now it's pretty amazing.

I'd love a good shampoo/conditioner recommendation.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion.

MrsGP · 26/01/2008 18:10

Dermalogica multi vit eye and lip cream, am paranoid about getting those lines around my lips! Also have a dermalogica facial every month and my skin has never been better, I had terrible acne and now (almost) smooth skin. I use skin smoothing moisturiser by dermalogica too.

Hand cream - Crabtree and Evelyn is fantastic, they do a scrub and a glycerine (sp?) cream

ladywombling · 26/01/2008 18:23

Janite, Dermalogica is only available at salons or online. Try www.beautyflash.co.uk, it's the cheapest I have found. I prob have a sample sachet of it somewhere, do you want me to send it to you, so you can try it out? I work on beauty products btw, so I have tried loads! CAT me if you want me to have a look.

Ettenna · 26/01/2008 18:25

It's not glam but Boots No 7 Intelligent Foundation is fab - you just daub it on any old how and it magically blends into your skin tone. Nice soft finish too.

Herbal Essences Citrus extra body shampoo is the only shampoo of that nature to really make a difference to my thin post-baby hair.

Ruby and Millie mascara - doesn't smudge off.

janeite · 26/01/2008 18:27

That's really, really sweet of you but it's okay thanks. I intend to go and sniff the one in The Body Shop tomorrow and take things from there! I don't want to get myself into an expensive one if a cheaper one will do; especially since I've just discovered Philosophy Gingerbread Man and think I may be forming an unhealthy addiction to it!

ladywombling · 26/01/2008 18:28

No probs Janite, let me know if you change your mind.

luminarphrases · 26/01/2008 18:33

janeite,
the BShop hemp cream is nice, but the smell is rank. Origins do a fab one, ginger and something, and they'll give you a free hand massage if you ask nicely.

I agree YSL touche eclat is much ado about nothing -- it looks lovely on my younger, less tired, pale skinned friends; but on my dark circles, and olive skin, it makes me look like a raccon.

Benefit realness of concealness is much better, and has everything in it for quick vain touch ups.

I'm after the perfect foundation/powder combo -- I used to use Clinique, but based on recommendations here, switched to chanel, but am less than thrilled. I have decent skin, but am starting to look, frankly, less dewey. any recommendations?

janeite · 26/01/2008 20:12

I think the best foundation has to be Prescriptives; they do it in a range of types I think, so they probably have a dewy one. The No 7 ones are pretty good too and much cheaper - they do a Radiant Glow one which is quite nice but even the lightest is too dark for me.

I love Origins stuff but really just want something pretty cheap for lugging around all day, sticking in my drawer at work etc. DP bought me the ginger body lotion and perfume for Christmas and it's scrummy.

SugarSkyHigh · 26/01/2008 20:16

anyone know jane iredale? the foundation is my all time best kept beauty secret, until now!!

carmenelectra · 26/01/2008 21:31

The No7 radiant foundation is nice. i was using itbefore my Benefit(more expensive an dnot so nice).

That laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is coming out a lot. Might try it. Is it expensive(must be)?

Also, has anyone tried MAC foundation?

carmenelectra · 26/01/2008 21:34

I mix my foundation, oregon, with Revlon Skinlights to make it look dewy. I find it works well and gives a nice sheen. im sure other highlighters would work as well.

Yes, yes, yes to Mac eyeshadows!!!

I only have two, a goldie one and a grey one but I wear the grey one at least 4 times a week and it is like the magic porridge pot.

rosealbie · 26/01/2008 21:47

This isn't a reccomendation but I wondered if anyone uses Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate? What's it like, it sounds lovely.

carmenelectra · 26/01/2008 21:49

Ive never used MAC eyeshadows, but i do love their lip colours. NARS is my fave make up brand though, its divine!

Wotz · 26/01/2008 21:50

eyelash curlers

EsmeWeatherwax · 26/01/2008 22:04

My best mate uses MAC foundation, and I have never envied somebody's skin more. Always looks beautiful, and natural. (I can't afford it..lol)

Also agree with the touche eclat detractors, only because I am allergic to it...not a pretty sight.

carmenelectra · 26/01/2008 22:08

Might try Mac then

chipo · 26/01/2008 22:13

Just ordered cleanse and polish, so fingers crossed I like it.

saffy202 · 26/01/2008 22:37

Where did you buy the Retinova cream from, Trolleydolly? Sounds just what I need!

Another Dermalogica fan here - esp ultracalming cleanser, skin smoothing and daily microfoliant.

However, due to some chat on here I'm now coveting the multivitamin hand cream and the multivitamin eye & lip cream. Hmmm...

Worth it???

saadia · 27/01/2008 07:56

carmenelectra I was going to suggest that you mix the two, but it does seem like a lot of hassle - yes I agree the full on mask look doesn't suit everyone.

rosealbie I wanted to order that Liz Earle concentrate but they were out of stock, will try and get it next time.(I always buy in bulk to save on velivery costs). It does look good though.
