Is this dress inappropriate for a wedding?

My boyfriend said he thinks this dress isn't appropriate for a wedding because it's red? This is new to me? The last two weddings we've been to I've wore red and he didn't say anything. So I'm just wondering what peoples thoughts are is this appropriate?

You'll get all sorts of odd comments on here because there seems to be such a following for the grossly overpriced frumpy stuff from Toast. Can't say I ever see anyone walking around in Toast style clothes where I live!

It's very "look at me." On a wedding day the bridal party should be the focus, really.

Guests can look beautiful at weddings of course but should be a bit understated to not be grabbing the attention from the bride.

It is very 'look at me' which isn't really the done thing at a wedding. You really do want the focus to be on the bride and bridesmaids.

Fine for a big night out but not really a wedding.

It's an eye-catching dress, but in the context of a wedding it has 'shag the groom on the altar' vibes which may not be what you want :)

That dress is hideous. Really awful. However if your aimis to get people looking at you it will work. Just maybe not for the reasons you'd like.

I think you're boyfriend may be trying to be tactfully telling you the colour is the problem . If your plan is to be centre of attention it will probably work but for all the wrong reasons.

Sorry, it’s a horrible dress for a wedding and screams ‘look at me’. Personally I wouldn’t like it for any occasion but least of all a wedding.

It might be what she wants though, it's definitely a 'hello, fellas' dress. Plus how could the op not know that it's not wedding appropriate?
